Hullo there everyone - Well, another week of desk hopping here again already over at WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday chez Julia).
Only one week to the big Celebration of five years of WOYWW! What
glorious autumnal day we have here in Oz! Just superb, God-blessed,
sunshiny weather. :D Now to matter in hand- the desk:
Mm, actually not my desk this week took a photo but still camera not 100% so this is last weeks desk.. both of them are inky. This Hero arts "Classic Fabric Design"background stamp was inked Versamark + heat embossing with white embossing powder. Then used daubers to ink over using a circular motion to apply ink from Big and Juicy "Hydrangea" pad. Love these daubers. You will see finished card on post below, with four other cards done for an order... please scroll down. |
Now to the Aussie photos for today - this Rainbow Lorikeet was having a feed at our Bottlebrush - overlooking our kitchen sink, was doing dishes when he caught my eye! and was he ever the poser?! Have new video of them uploaded last week on You Tube, only two minutes if you want to see them as a group of very noisy birds at feeding time.
Ooo, do look at me! Do look at me!! |
Mm, tastes pretty good right down here... (nectar lovers). |
Thanks so very much everyone for popping over for a peek and chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe (sorry in advance ~ I will endeavor to comment as able).

Now those are pretty birds to look at only big birds we have out pigeons...yawn compared to those loris have a wonderful day hugs Nikki 3
ReplyDeleteLove that bright Lorikeet! Hope your camera gets fixed soon... love the embossing. Helen 8
ReplyDeleteDaubers. Now I have an idea for my envelope for the PIF partner. I don't decorate envies, so you have truly given me a plan. THANK YOU for that.
ReplyDeleteYes, I showed some blurry ATCs last year. Good memory. I hadn't planned that this year, until I realized I was a week early with the ATCs.
I adore the Lorikeet. The last time I saw a bottle brush tree/bush was when I was in CA a few years ago. They would never grow in my climate. thanks for the memory AND the beautiful bird photos, too.
So nice to see this bird in the wild, as here they are kept as pets. #25
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bird and to think he is just outside your kitchen window. My kitty would give him such a fright. Love the emboss resist look.
ReplyDeleteSandra @12
Oh lovely way to colour that resist - and what a lovely image, I don't see much Hero Arts these days. The Lorikeets are so gorgeous and fun, but I had forgotten how noisy they are!
ReplyDeleteA million thans for thinking of me with an ATC, safely arrived,am saving them up for next week, it's more exciting than a birthday in terms of anticipation!
What a wonderful view from your kitchen sink .. .. almost good enough to make you want to do the washing up LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteYour resist work looks gorgeous.
Thanks for reminding me that I own Big and Juicy pads!! I have to store them separate to all my other pads because of their size so they get overlooked. Hope they haven't all merged into one whilst waiting to come out to play!!
I hope you are having a good week.
Love Jules xx
Good morning. Can't believe it's Wednesday again already! Thanks for letting us in to peek at your creative space. Beautiful colours on the embossed piece. Ha, that bird looks like a proper poser, I agree. Gorgeous bird though.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good and blessed week too.

Morning Shaz.
ReplyDeleteLovely background - and some beautiful cards. A bass saxophonist! Wow! Our Joy plays the alto sax - it's a gorgeous sounding set of instruments.
Have a good day watching your lorikeets.

ReplyDeleteHi Shaz,
ReplyDeleteLorikeets are such beautiful birds but noisy little critters too. They do love the bottlebrushes I do too but I am allergic to bottlebrushes and I used to have 9 different ones here at the house. Hope you get your camera working again soon.
Have a wonderful week

The Lori is such a poser! How wonderful to have him sat out there. Thanks for sharing. Happy WOYWW. Caro x (#44)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bird! And the card too - I love resist techniques (did one myself earlier in the week, a follow up to an old post that seems to have been landed on a lot recently, 2 years after I originally did it) and the white looks great with those bright colours. Love the samples in the post below too - you've spot on, VERY varied styles, but all beautiful She must be pleased!
ReplyDeleteHappy near 5 year WOYWW!

Gosh, they sure are gorgeous birds, Shaz. I wouldn't get a thing done; I'd be sitting there watching them all day! I enjoyed the video (and a couple of others!). It looked like one of them fell off the branch and the other one laughed his head off! They are noisy, though. You beautiful colored stencil really took my breath away!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming by to visit me! Have a wonderful week and Happy WOYWW!! Hugs, Darnell #29
