Some Christmas cards folks.. two dozen makes!

{Annie's Friday Smiles down below plus WOYWW}
Well, it was Rudolph challenge over at Sarn's and thought was making it okay but she accidentally closed it a day early, so I'm posting anyways..
Felt at first a bit sad especially as busted my boiler getting two dozen cards made, but still that is always the upside eh?:D
As I give some cards away as presents before Christmas, plus need quite few for myself, and had only done about 36 so thought had better put in extra effort..
Each year buy a set of these .. they are "Pass it on cards" and there are 25 in set for $4 and make fab card toppers. I like to have God's word on Christmas cards particularly.
And so this is this years pack - and then below are the cards made with them with different folders.
Marianne designable DS0908 with curved corners on toppers - 6 cards

Cuttlebug called "Gracie's frame"- 6 cards
Folder is "Quick Kutz A2 frame" - that's all can find on it! 6 cards
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1umQEnci-os  a video which is the inspiration for these cards .. wanted change from monotony of doing others but these take much more time. Plus was using a NBUS Never Used Before Schtuff -  made with stamp set had for ages (Sheena Douglas) never used - perfect for this.

Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, may God bless your day wherever you may be!  Shaz in Oz.x

Annies Friday Smiles .. Plover, duck for cover :D

Hullo everyone - tis Friday so time for Friday Smiles today over at Annie's .. and yes, looking at my first two there might a theme I see! yes, am on chocolate ban at the moment .... Mm, so that might be why!

The next ultra cute images are from Oz or Downunder - or really our backyard. The other day heard some distressed noises coming from some Plovers out the back 9very unusual not usually there) so went out to check:
and here was one mumma or papa here
and then just ahead down the side of the house where thse two fluff balls
and ahead of them was the other parent yipping and squawking at them to follow and not waste time cos there was big human after them!
I was very careful to have hat on my head and also stay under eaves of house. I have been dive bombed by a nesting plover once :D when out walking but not at home - they are gorgeous and part of God's marvellous creation.
If you want to know more about plovers (properly called masked lapwing), see here - there are several varieties but this is the land one and make their nest on the ground and they are over on the grassy gum-treed area between our house an the local main road .. not sure if they are still around as this is the only sighting and to be here in our yard is fair way from home.
Thanks for popping over everyone for peek and chat..
May God bless your day wherever you may be.

WOYWW, and catching up!

Hullo everyone - well have been MIA for more time than ever before but there has been too much going on to have time.. We went away, then I was sick, then took time to catch up! but without any more ado..
.. here tis WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground!
This was gift card kit from bit over a week ago actually from Ginny of Maxam made and also yesterday not in image as had posted these images on FB, Mrs A had sent me four piece of Stampbord to try out like size of domino.. thanks so much to Ginny and to Mrs A, and Mrs A. watch this space :D
After making these which are a gift for a friend, all that was left over from kit was butterfly in black and white, a sheet of navy and chocolate. I will save for other cards. THANK YOU, Ginny you are a treasure!
The designer paper is the back of the envelope that the set came in, as Ginny has pretty envelopes, I coloured the butterfly with ink here and also the gem with gold ink.
I coloured the ribbon with ink used and 'cos had inky fingers two small bits of stray ink on WAW Bible verse when taping it on and was too late then :(
I wanted fancy corners, so used a die cut from Fleur de lis rectangle. I cut a piece of black card and cut up the die cut .. when put this on my blog before someone thought I cut up the actual die, rather than the cardboard, eek!
This is my favourite - the stamps used for greetings are from Our Daily Bread and fussy cut them out rather than buy the die as it was expensive, but stamps weren't plus had voucher just added image to colour images in photos.
The photo from Oz today is of our local creek, taken late afternoon. the large tree on right is gum and scraggy bits at front are banksia. See flower below:
I will comment as able may take til next week but will get there :D

WOYWW, Orchids + Flower Fairy

Hullo there everyone.. well, another "desky" share as it is Wednesday again!! and that means the great worldwide Blog-hop around desks of the world for WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to our chief's desk for the link up, at Julia's Stamping Ground! Before proceeding want to apologise to Sandysewin as tried to comment on her WOYWW but her blog would not let me, came up with Error 404 and wanted to scan my computer?! {Edit: Sandy has looked into it an says apparently it is a problem which occurs from time to time.}
To my desk:
Here you see my goodies laid out - received from a bloggy win over on Judy's blog- called  Judy's fabricrations. She is my latest wodnerful Encourager too, so do take a peek over at her blog and say hi!! My favourite is the decoration of the heart with all the beading detail (!!) and the card there on the right has some lovely beading detail too. The pretty paper and Christmas toppers will be very useful too, and the wee tissue holder! Thanks so very much Judy - you are incredibly kind!!
Here is Emily's card made for her birthday last Friday with "Emily sleeps here" below which I started on WOYWW a few weeks back.
Made this card with a scanned image from my Flower Fairy book by Cicely Mary Barker (actually her background is interesting reading).  The card has a 3D image of the fairy (as card was for Emily did the "E" fairy), on a Fleur de Lis Labels 8 Spellbinder die, used the Memory box die on my desk last week, Memory Box Piestra Tile die and used it on border, with ribbon and Blushing Flower branch also MB die. Spellbinder petite ovals for greeting, La la land corner and used a frosted rose red cardboard for details, also glittered the fairy but dont think it shows. Cuttlebug Olivia die used for "3" and the label 4 smallest die.
This is a blue Fairy Wren (sketched and coloured in Prismacolors) and just so happened her party was a fairy party. I did not know when planned to do it.. how amazing is the LORD? or so I thought anyway - and then few days after starting it saw these wrens when out walking and took this photo back here. :D (they have gone now, I look every time walk there but dont see them.. I am glad had the camera that day ..God is good too, as they are rather hard to photograph).
And the pickie from Oz this week:

This is an Australian bush orchid over at my neighbour's front door.. just magnificent aren't they? .. he has a huge green house would love to take pickies of it, one day might ask him so can show you some more.
I generally try and comment on everyone who is kind enough to come to my place and says hi but this week things may get too busy till maybe early next week, so apologies if bit slow.
I am scheduling this post so linking maybe slow too.

Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek and a chat, may God bless your day wherever you may be!  Shaz in Oz.x
