SB Divine Eloquence, MFT Upsy Daisy + WOYWW308

{Warning -VERY  photo heavy post}

Well, two weeks in a row, I am joining over with WOYWW, it must be a record for this year :D
Yes, it is Wednesday and over to some desks of the world for WOYWW What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday … so head over to Julia’s - peek, learn and share - do!
My desk, the other night .. was making some daisies with Upsy Daisy die by MFT .. deciding to venture into the world of flowers but going for the flatter ones as they as are easy to post. Rounded these a little in the assembling - with  the rounding tool (centre), on the grey foam mat on the right, bought when started 3D card these tools.
To Shape Daisies etc:  Gently twirl the Daisy petals and leaves, using your fingers and the shaping tool (some use bone folder, I prefer tool), this help turn them under to shape them and also pop the layers up little with silicone glue as with 3D image making. I also rounded the centre a little too, before popping it up on little silicone glue (Click and see here one I use).
Used also the 1 1/4" EK Success punch on some DP Black and white, bought many years ago now.
Desk this morning and pretty much now. Just noticed my wee WOYWW board is upside down, and both monkeys are waving hi! Using the fav. cardstock of the moment, Hammer cardstock on this card with a digi birthday greeting, formatted in Word doc. Flowers more shaped also have leaves  cut but not on them; sorting out the layout, which is a CAS from Pinterest - here
please note, not an ATC in site for 4 weeks from now for WOYWW312
I do have a card to share with you, made for a very dear aunt's birthday, yesterday. Used SB Divine Eloquence. Used disc. DP roses (as aunt is a rose fan too) inked up softly the cardstock while still in die, and MB Lavish branch on the side, with pearls for added pretty!
Layered up in Portrait style so it will stand nicely for later if needed. See my Pinterest Divine Eloquence for this card and others.
Verse from Luke 10:27 - had to mask reference so it would fit inside smallest die, embossed in gold Stamp says is 1994 Annette Allen Watkins on side.
The greatest commandment the LORD Jesus says is to Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart... and thy neighbour as thyself.. a beautiful reminder. Over at Our Daily Bread the challenge is to use scripture so will be entering this card for it.
Now images from Oz today is our cute Rainbow lorikeets at the bird bath.. a few says ago early one morning.. they do have fun there was two of them one was watching at the top of the fence while this one doused himself, several times over....

Some snippets used here so off to the Snippets Playground, as well as Word Art Wednesday.. Yay!

Every blessing of the LORD everyone where ever you maybe and thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat..
Mm, am way behind these days so will call back eventually!

Memory Box Prim Poppy Birthday + Christmas Cards by Two.

Hullo there everyone! well these are some cards made a while back and not blogged, have rather of few of them in drafts waiting to be blogged.
This first card was seen on Pinterest as an idea and this was made for my niece's 30th, but somehow forgot to photograph it with the 30th on it.
This is how I test if I need a die now .. I look for samples and see how well I like them made up. I really like dies cause you can use up your snippets with them.
Prim poppy with Hexagon frame, if made it again would do things , make it on smoother paper as dont like the unevenness of the sponging, secondly would perhaps make one more hexagon to raise it up and tad more. However do love this die.

These two cards were made for Rudolph day over @ Scrappy Mo's - here (25th to end of month each month, except December!). It was a while ago and thought you needed two, but found out the rules are changed this year and only need one .. not to worry.. :D) The stamp is a very old snowflake one I turned into a star one, with sponging in oval mask, the Memory box star die was cut with snippets, and the digi verse by Karen from WAW was cut with SB Fancy Ovals.
Also want to welcome a new Wonderful Encourager - Robin of Paw Trails .. over here!! thanks so VERY much for joining! Robin, if could work out how to join yours, I would return the great kindness.
Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat .. will return your visit as soon as I can, as do love to see your work too. :D
May God bless your day and those you love, wherever you may be.

WOYWW Watercolour Distress Ink + Ink Resist Birthday Card.

{Warning -VERY  photo heavy post}

Well, it has been a while it seems since joining WOYWW ( see here  Julia's Stamping Ground,) or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday or in my case ... Thursday! it's the way things are these days - very topsy turvy, but I am here!
{I want to link up also to Word Art Wednesday (WAW) and Di's snippets, see links below.}
Loads of pickies and first one shows my desk last weekend when was making a quick, and yes! it was quick card for my SiL. Had Distress inks in card below it so out they came again.. saw a card like this on my Pinterest Layouts page. Colours are Peacock Feather, Broken China, Dusty Concord.
Soak the water colour paper with water add inks via craft mat and also directly from pad in random fashion the spritz again with more water. move colour around with heat tool as drying it add more if needed.
Stamped Kaisercraft Butterfly twice with waterproof ink and also with Versafine Black Onyx with clear EP. Used the latter, as was much nicer in my two tests.
Coloured with Distress inks smooched onto craft mat + water. Then spritzed with Diamond Dust Glimmer mist, hand cut them out. Curl with bone folder to give dimension on card. Mount with silicone glue to support the wings
Embossing folder is Swirl EF was done with my 8" x 8" folder, which I cut down to fit in Big shot.. see here. Have also spritzed water colour piece with Diamond dust Glimmer mist, popped it up on double white background with silver thread added underneath + random pearls. This card also reminds me of Cathy's card spot .. take a peek and you will see what I mean!
Ink resist done before (see all details on this post, and here), stamp in clear embossing powders, then inked up with round DI tools. Used DI Weathered Wood, Peacock feathers, Dusty Concord.
I love this new stamp by Hero Arts was watching it on eBay when PayPal sent me a $10 voucher to buy on eBay!! I rang them cos didn't believe it .. was true! so this cost $10 less, about $5 {Yay! thank you, LORD!!} :D
The Aussie shot for today - this is from verandah at Easter when visiting family, at the very tip of the bird wing on the watermark is the kangaroo I spotted, so zoomed with the 24x optical lens.
"Mm, I think someone is looking at me..."
.. " they're somewhere, I can't see them though..."

"I think I'll hide.."
Note the seaview the kangaroo has behind the grasses, not bad eh?? he was actually mainly eating and just peeked some of the time.
Also want to welcome a new Wonderful Encourager - please pop over and say hi to Carole Robb Bisson from WAW!
Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat .. will return your visit as soon as I can, as do love to see your work too. :D
May God bless your day and those you love, wherever you may be.

Gelato Birthday Card + Heat Embossing Printed Digi

A while ago now I received an email from a fellow crafter who live in the Emerald city (Sydney), and RosA of Paperchase (from WOYWW ) said that Big W ( chain of Woolworth here in Oz) had Gelatos on sale. Ros said she had rushed into get them that morning, and also knew I wanted some.
Now it was raining here cats and dogs, (we had storm of over 5 inches in 12 hours to give you an idea) but I rang up and Yesss! they had some and put them aside and went it when it want raining quite so bad.. and bought the big set on sale ($21) and smaller set (9.99)

Set on right are called Tropical and had colours not in big set.. this girl must have a purple :D (photo cut off hot pink at end of the set.)
This set is in the video below and love the swatch set to give yo an idea of what you can do.. it was this video that Ros sent me.

Okay, had to make a birthday card for my darling dad, so here was my collection ... had the top three pieces together in stash. Two of them I had inked at different times, ship image was printed out when making another card..
Snippets collected and took kraft ripple rib sheet sample in Gelato swatch set and my three colours orange, yellow and gold. Forgot to show it when it was coloured but here you see first layer on ridges if you peek close, the  orange..
Rub colour in with your gingers as you add them, they smear beautifully and creamy but dont leave them to set BUT smear them as you colour.
I found that out :D
Okay here you can see all the different colours... the brilliant orange piece of mixed shades was number of inks no idea what and I think I misted them so possibly DI. Used Sizzix Square Lattice EF.
I wish you could see the beautiful sheen on the Gelatos give the ripple card ... it really was stunning. I mounted everything on black card; the background Swirl EF was done with my 8" x 8" folder I cut down to fit in Big shot.. see here.
One last image ..
TIP: This was a digi I made ( with "Black Chancery" by DaFont) but because the background card printed on had slight almost sheen to it making ink slow to dry, I was able to emboss in with clear embossing powder..
Wow, I loved that bit.. I nearly always try unless it is an absorbent card as you can get a good effect.. be quick that's all, you have embossing powder, etc on the ready. If you dont have an embossing buddy you can get recipe here on this post - they make all the difference .. and so cheap to make, I have half a dozen cos misplace them.
Well, thanks everyone who has taken time to comment, you are really appreciated. Will return visits as soon as I can.
I will not be back for WOYWW this week as things are full on mid week, but, God willing, later on.
May God bless your day, every one - wherever you may be!

Today's Aussie shot:
It is Autumn time Downunder, my favourite time of year!!! We have just had superb days, this is a gumtree sunset out at my sister's on Sunday, faint soft pink evening lights. God's creation is enthralling, and He feels especially close at this time of day.

Before I forget - I want to take the time to welcome two new Wonderful Encouragers - do take a peek at their blogs and be blessed too.

Terry of Terry's Agape Creations .. wonderful colouring here if you want some tips.. and great inspiring blog for a dear blogger, Debbie over at http://shegracesherhome.blogspot.com.au/

".. we trust in the living God, Who is the Saviour of all men." 1 Timothy 4:10

He is not here, for He is Risen

Dear Ones, well today is a day of great rejoicing as my title shares.
First of all, though, thanks to all who care enough to pop over  and say Hi. Things are very topsy turvy here this past month and look like being that way for a while. Blogging will occur as able, but wont perhaps be as active at returning comments, for which I am sorry.
Can you imagine the great sorrow of the women and disciples upon the first day of the week?
They thought all was lost - Jesus was dead upon the cross of Cavalry, and buried in stone tomb.
"Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
And they remembered his words," Luke 24:1-8 (emphases mine)

I think this image of an empty tomb encapsulates the work of the cross the death, burial and resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ, the Son of God our sin-bearer on the cruel tree.
A hymn came to mind at our church service today, I serve a Risen Saviour... may it bless your heart as it did mine.
I serve a Risen Saviour by A J Ackley
I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today;
I know that He is living, whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him, He's always near.

Refrain:
He lives, He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart!

2 In all the world around me I see His loving care;
And tho' my heart grows weary, I never will despair.
I know that He is leading thro' all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing will come at last. [Refrain]

3 Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind. [Refrain]

To Him alone be all the glory, honour and praise, with much thanksgiving for Resurrection day!

LOVE that sent Jesus to the cross

Greetings dear folks on this Good Friday.. we remember the ONE Who gave the greatest gift of all.. for those who wonder about  The WHY Good Friday see last year's post here..
It amazes me the changeability of human nature, with the days leading up to trial and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. On the first day of the week (we now call it Palm Sunday) they are crying to Jesus a Kingly welcome:
..... and then all but a few days later, that same crowd are crying when Pilate, in an attempt to let Jesus go, asked :
"What should we do with Jesus? and they cried "Crucify Him!"
Yet we too are changeable - often we may blow with the wind, or flow with the situation as it is easer than swimming against the tide of public opinion.
Instead let us be Praising Him, the Lord of Glory, our Saviour Jesus!
God had a greater end in view though! God sees what we cannot, and He saw that man needed a way of salvation from their sin.
When we are bowed down with care and trouble there is ONE Who cares and wants to bear it for us... that is why the Father sent His Son, the LORD Jesus!

It was LOVE - LOVE that sent Jesus to the cross
LOVE that made Him stay there, till it says:

"And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost." Luke 23:46

Notice that .. He gave up His life ... it was not taken from Him.
Jesus, God in the flesh, came down to earth to live among men. As Hebrews say : " He was tested in all points as we are, yet without sin."
He was sinless perfect BUT He knows our struggles.. our cares, sorrows. Surely he hath born our sorrows and our grief"
LOOK! See this chapter in Isaiah 53 many, many centuries before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah  drew the picture of the death Jesus would suffer for our sin, on the tree .. read and be amazed at teh detail, and be grateful too - see here
Satan thought He had won a victory on the cross .. he thought  wrongly though... it was God's way of Salvation and Satan's defeat. It was at the cross that the first prophecy about Satan's defeat was fulfilled, one of many. See Genesis 3:15
As this verse above says
- GREATER is He that is in You.. by faith if we have trusted in the LORD Jesus as Saviour we receive the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts and lives.. God's spirit is great than any power with which Satan might to seek to deceive us.
This is the verse that led to my salvation many years ago.. read about it here and it summarises what Good Friday means - when the LORD gave up His life for us. His blood is the cleansing power for sin.. but salvation is gift! It is not ours till it is taken..
Praising Him, the Lord of Glory, Jesus!
On this day when we remember the greatest gift of all, when the Lord Jesus laid down His life on the cross, shed His blood for our sin, that we might by faith in Him have life for an eternity in heaven. Hallelujah!
How rich are we in Him! if we know Him as out our own Saviour!

Every blessing of the LORD, dear friends upon you and your dear ones on such a special day.
