Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Using Ink Dusters, Stencils and Embossing paste +WOYWW

Well, it has been a while it seems since joining WOYWW (see here  Julia's Stamping Ground,) or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday or in my case ... Thursday! It’s the way things are these days - very topsy turvy, but I am here!
{I want to link up also to Word Art Wednesday (WAW) and Di's snippets, see links below.}
Loads of pickies and first one shows my desk this Wed (yesterday) when finished one card and about to make another – a thank you. It is on hold and made an emergency birthday card had forgotten about today instead ~ not enough room though to post it today.
Okay, at the back is the wee card (which I played and coloured the butterfly stamp on) ... wasn't coloured when it came and lovely atc which will show below was my PiF WOYWW 312 from Soojay. Thank YOU so very much! Also below, on desk to right is the card just finished a belated on but as made it generic, so it wont matter. Front centre is a "thank you card" begun for dad to give to someone, made using one of dad's paintings as a digi image.
Showing this to share how I cut up die cuts (please note die cuts not dies). First die cut is the SB Fleur de Lis square die, make great corners. The second one is the scalloped oval, wanted a shadow reflection in gold. So this is why I did it, the eye thinks you have a whole gold oval unless you look carefully. :D

Gorgeous multi-medium ATC from Soojay, cute plus.. love the background textures + shades of colours! THANK YOU!
On my post below (or click here) you will see I am working to he left on this background hee - I said then I did not know if I like or no.
This is how the background sheet started out .. using some embossing paste, and stencils. Then out came the dusters and ink.

This is it at the end of the inking ..did another layer on what had done an decided it was okay. Used DI Vintage photo, Rusty hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed. Antique linen. Also spritzed with "Shine Huey's Mist, which really finished it off, coloured some Floss with ink, too.
At the beginning of the year I won one of the NBUS prizes over at Darnell's, and prize was voucher at Sher Russ' Stamplorations ..lovely clear stamps plus was given two free masks, have used two sets here  *Vignette Trendy Feathers and *Bold Sentiments Hello. Love both these sets, and embossed them in Versafine ink, coloured + hand cut them out. Mounted on piece or neutral corrugated card.

Last of all , your Aussie shots ~ a Rainbow Lorikeet on his morning walk on fence top, after a bath in the bird bath, below! they are such clowns!

Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat .. will return your visit as soon as I can, as do love to see your work too. :D I apologise a have not commented on many from last post .. but will do you first, so sorry.
May God bless your day and those you love, wherever you may be.

A Bounteous WOYWW 313

Hullo there everyone.. well, another "desky" share as it is Wednesday again!! and that means the great worldwide Blog-hop around desks of the world for WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to our chief's desk for the link up, at Julia's Stamping Ground!
To my desk:
Well today shares this weeks happy mail. The SB Exquisite Labels 11 to right of centre is from Glenda of Magpie's Craft Corners candy (woohoo!!!!! thank YOU dear, kind Magpie!).
All the rest of marvellous delights are from WOYWW'ers!! Yup! a total of 17 ATC Debbie's wonderful tag,  Annie's card, and also few cute star diecuts thrown in .. mailed Downunder by the Queen of Desks, Julia Dunnit.. (and rather think she did do it, eh?). I just wish you could've seen my face when collected post and saw..  and then opened all this bounty .. blown away is an understatement.
There is also on left an inky duster, DI ink pads piece of card with embossing paste and ink dusted on it but not sure I like it yet will leave it and see if grows on me..was for male birthday on 7th June but given up on getting it  there in time.. this year.

Why I received such bounty I must admit I am bit unsure. I have sent one atc to my PiF!!
However I truly am deeply appreciative, so a BIG gi-normous THANK YOU  for all the loving care and design from the WOYWW crop.. this will be my thanks will also go around to say "Thank YOU" to all blogs, or as many as can find but already cant find Fiona's ... unless it is Fiona from Staring at the sea - the email addy is different so wasn't sure.
I know RosA was in on it cos she asked me which atc I would like
(she sent me a pickie and I chose the koala), no need to swap she said.. I have actually made one for her too but it is still sitting here, not sent as just finished it as many of you know this year has had its ups and downs health wise.

this had lovely metallic look, was lost in photo, sorry Debbie.
My card hidden on last week's desk for a special little someone aged 3 years, hand cut copied from Pinterest.
Today's Aussie shot downunder down at the jetty.. yes it is wintery sky downunder but still days of lovely sunshine even if it is bit cool, but it is much warmer than UK as was talking to family over there on Saturday 10c max there 21c max here .. why do they live there I still wonder?? actually didn't notice before but this is bit blurry .. sorry.
Again... THANK YOU ALL @ WOYWW crop - for such wonderfully, kind, caring friends.
I pray the LORD will return your kind generosity a hundredfold.
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be!
I will comment as able ~ may take 'til next week but will get there :D
