Well, I think I’ve begun the last half dozen WOYWW posts with an exclamation that is again Wednesday! So today.. let’s just look at desks of the world with Julia of The Stamping Ground.. over HERE! Anyway... to my desk, some mess definitely afoot as per usual!
I shouldn’t actually be at my desk or in here but industriously writing in my cards and getting them in the mail. But this is my desk as I left it last night. I had an idea you see! And ideas do need to tested or you forget them, or I do! This small nativityscape die by Sugarpea (Here) was the subject of my cogitation.
It has a star (to my mind) in a most annoying spot. It’s right above the stable, on it’s side, fixed so it will never ever be detached!! So you simply can’t cut a sky. I really wanted to use these alcohol ink tissue on acetate background as a sky!

So made the blindingly obvious choice of layer base over top. Yes! Sadly you miss out on that lovely inset look I was looking to have, but better than nought!
Rest on right of desk are goodies from Simon Says. Over HERE ! This card won a voucher to spend at Simon Says. Oh yummo! How blessed am I?? So was sensible and bought two glues, one lot of tape, but treats = two dies and a small stamp and die set. Using one die (Tonic Joy to World) on the acetate card, as you’ll see layering it up.
Now to cards finished.
These are from last weeks desk. Used Bugaboo ATV nativity set. Love Bugaboo especially the ATV images. The Joy stamp die set is by Poppy Stamps is one of my prizes. The tiny scallop die is set by Tonic. EF is 3D by Crafters Companion bought with Margaret in Wales 😊
Now to my Aussie Photos. First two are in our Botanic Gardens. A tree Waratah and some mossy trunks. Love moss.
And last two are on walk one sunset arvo.
Truly beautiful! we are so blessed of God downunder!
Well, that's my share for the day. I'm truly sorry but still a bad blogger at moment, am still time poor!
Truly Jesus is with us at all times, He said: " I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. "

Today's thought.. as its getting near Christmas I've chosen a prophecy written in 800 BC by Isaiah approx. Know time because in rule of King Uzziah.. Yes, bit less than 800 years before Christ was born! God's word is true and reliable!
Immanuel means "God with us" |
Oh Shaz, I love those cards made with the bugaboo stamps. And your photos are beautiful as usual. It would be wonderful to have some warm sunshine here. I love how the Bible just flows when you read it in its entirety and don’t take the verses just willy-nilly. It all makes perfect sense and shows miracle after miracle and prophecy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Hmm, our desks look similar Shaz - my DH always used to say he couldn't work on a desk like mine, it was so messy. Love your Bugaboo cards, they are so focused on Jesus, but with love and gentleness

I love the colours of your starry night about the stable, really gorgeous. The other cards are fun too, Christmas doesn't always have to be traditional eh?! Thanks for your visit :-)

Beautiful and sweet cards, and love your tissue background!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love those cute characters - they still relate to The Lord. Never heard of them but they are adorable.
ReplyDeleteRemind me of Hummel type figures or Louise Mary Alcott (have I got that right?)
As for the first card - that background is fantastic! It looks absolutely beautiful and I cannot imagine it looking any better as what you do to it - impossible because it is the best.
Love your prophecy at the end.
Blessings, Neet xx
HI Shaz, some lovely things you bought with your prize. I agree about that die, how annoying.Do you know any handy men locally, who may well be able to cut it away with a jigsaw, then file the edges? Beautiful cards, and lovely images. Fab photos as always. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 X
ReplyDeleteoh my word, what gorgeous skies! You know how much I love my sky photos!
ReplyDeleteShame about the die, that is really infuriating! Have a great week Helen #3
Hi Shaz, what fun are those Nativity stamps. The die is a bit strange putting the star so low down and it looks as though it's impossible to cut it off too. Gorgeous photos too. Have a great woyww and a happy creative week, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, that was a beautiful card that won the prize, and you bought some lovely things. The star on that die does indeed look in a very strange place. It wouldn't be so bad if you could detach it. The Bugaboo nativity stamps would be perfect for my grandsons cards, I shall have to look into them. Have a lovely week Heather x #14
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win Shaz. Beautiful cards and photos..Loz

I see what you mean about the die. Rather a silly idea but I expect it was all done for cost cutting. Your bugaboo cards made me smile. Hugs Mrs A.
