WOYWW - What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 105

Well, here we are - a whole week after the excitement of last week! How much fun we all had! As I live in Australia I have no exciting pIf from Jo yet. Long way over here! It has not arrived all the way from UK, but the delay just wets one's anticipation, and am very much looking forward to its arrival. I will display it when it comes (still feeling nervous about mine as really wanted to re-do it but not the time to get it done!).

For those of you who are wondering why we are looking at  desks it is all because of Julia our wonderful hostess who thought up this blog hop - do join in our weekly peek and come with me to Julia’s beaut blog -  Stamping Ground.
I have done  a little of my calligraphy this week so the piece of my desk is inked in ready for colouring for Morti, and you can see my calligraphy dip pens to the far right of the picture as I used one of them for part of this, but mostly this past week it has been cards. I am also working on a birthday card - an owl one for my friend, who loves owls and her birthday is coming up! So you can see me colouring an owl (or two) as well as the usual items on my desk!

Here are the cards - two engagement cards for an order. First one done with pink vellum and Labels 4 frame, plus 3D rose on a Marianne die, coloured in pink pigment ink and perfect pearls, small heart Cuttlebug embossing folder, and lace edge. I used the Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet for the Initials, also coloured and perfect pearls applied.. Second card is done with Cuttlebug Textile texture folder and vintage corners too (also on first one, but different corner) a Fleur de Lis Pendant Spellbinder on Mirri card and also white card with pearl centre.Use for the greeting is a an petite oval spellbinder + scalloped one, mounted on a Spellbinder Fancy tag.
And  I also have another card with the lovely new papers from Fat Cats (Natural Foil Mat Stack 4.5"x6.5" 72 pages). This set of papers  (also pictured on my desk - in the top centre) are perfect male card papers and so was really pleased with them when I splurged on them and they arrived, even better in real life! As I wanted to show off the pretty foiled paper I did a simple design. Mounted it on a white core sheet of Paisley Cuttlebug folder which I distressed, added a little ribbon, cat brad, and  "For You" decoration which had on hand from the cheap shop. The photo sort of captures the pretty foil shades of the paper, especially at the top of the paper where the light catches it!.

May God bless your day everyone wherever you may be, and happy WOYWW everyone!

  13. The Spanish lessons are for us as we are due to go to a wedding in Spain in August. We thought it would be a good idea to at least order food and drink and to ask where the loo is. By the way, you are not the only one waiting for your pif. Mine is coming across the "pond" and the one I made is going in the opposite direction. Never mind, the anticipation adds to the fun.

  15. Hi again Shaz, That gum blossom is a stamp made by Stamp World here in Sydney. The business was for sale so not sure if they are still operating although I think they were at a recent craft show. Let me know if you would like me to stamp a few images for you. I'd be happy to do that.

  29. Your cards are just beautiful.
We are freezing over here in South Africa, the weather has gone completely bonkers. I live in a Summer rainfall area and we are having floods! I don't deal well with cold and wet together, so I am a bit miserable lately and not feeling very creative.

  32. Hello - this is a wonderful card from these papers which I have as well....and I love to make 'man cards' from them.
I'm impressed with your copperplate efforts....oh it is such hard work and I so wish I had time to practice!! Keep going and we'll soon see the result of your efforts. Scribblers is one site - Blotspens is another and I buy from them.
Hope all is well with you from a rain soaked N.Ireland where we had one good day this week, Tuesday, so we upped and drove to the most Northerly point in Ireland at Malin Head....the next day was bucketing rain again so justified my day off work.
