Hullo there folks one an all here is is Wednesday again - the blink of an eye so time to fess up and show us your desk and link over to our Julia's desk the Queen of What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday!
Mm, my desk okay it is tidy again but that is only cos the cleaning lady was here yesterday and dining room table needed cleaning up!
My very most favorite -est item on this table is my adorable dumfling - I am totally besotted by these creations, which is of course an atc from the hands of Jo! Thank YOU, Jo, so very kind of you!
And then not on the table (in pickie above) but arrived just now in the mail (yahoo!) is the atc from Neet! Notice the dear Queen stamp on her envelope! Neet's atc is using the "beloved-but-not-yet-possessed-Pan-pastels". To be perfectly honest they will have to come down way down in price for them ever to make the bought list. They are way out of my budget at present.
I wasn't going to participate in atc swap, as was away when all this was announced but these two kindly sent me one and think another one is coming from South Africa too - and girls yours are coming, a bit slow cos never made them and had one major mental block! and a full reject pile!!
Also today is new method played with - see on post over here on the Frugal Crafter - Lindsay's blog. I must confess must be one of my top crafting blogs! great post this one.I have her posts emailed to me and she has lots of ideas of using things you already have rather than rushing out and buying the next "must have" item. This was in this category and is using watercolour pens. I used Tombows (bought in 1995!) but she used Stampin' Up I think - but use whatever you want and it takes no great skill!
If have time I will finish this effort and put in Di's snippets challenge; as it was scrap photo paper, plus the purple mount is scrap too as you can see on cuttlebug - so watch this space, Di I might get to play in the playground this week after all ...well off to do some jobs!
Thanks so much everyone for popping over for a peek and chat and may God bless your day wherever you may be.,

Mm, my desk okay it is tidy again but that is only cos the cleaning lady was here yesterday and dining room table needed cleaning up!
On my desk you can see the leg of some pants I was shortening and then depilling ( that's really why my sister put them out, not cos they were worn out! see depiller on table too).
You see, sisters are very handy for getting very good quality clothes for nicks (nothing) and then using money save for stash :D To the left on chair (which you cant see) are two more items needing such attention, so the sewing machine which is also away will come out again.Isn't Jo clever?? see three WOYWW's on her card? the number three on the door too - our 3rd anniversary, thanks JO! |
Clever Neet kindly sent an atc too! dont you love the multi stamp and embossing powder. |

Whilst Mr Linky's away...let's play!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a head start with my visiting this week. Unfortunatley I can never visit everyone no matter how hard I try.
I think your first photo must be away with Mr Linky because I can't see it ~ no idea why but thankfully the others are there.
I didn't take part in the ATC swap because I wasn't sure what it was all about but now I can understand how everyone got very excited. What wonderful treasures to appear in the post!
Thanks for sharing ~ Happy WOYWW!
Neesie (no number lol) ;D
Oh I agree about the dumfing. So beautiful - delicate but colourful and textured but with enough fine detail to make you want to look closely - and maybe even stroke it. :) Lucky girl - and clearly Neet was VERY busy, as more than one of us were lucky enough to be gifted her pretty purple creations. Have a great WOYWW - Maybe Mr Linky will show up later in the day!

Hi there, Shaz! Thanks for your kind comments on my slightly mad desk this morning. Guess what? It's sunny here after weeks of heavy rain. I should be gardeing but we're going to the dentist, boo.
ReplyDeleteLove your snippets card - how pretty is that??
Hugs, LLJ ?? xx
Yes your other one is ready for you from South Africa, but I need your snail mail address, please email me off my blog so I can post it! We WOYWW on - mr linky or not! I love that about this community on a Wednesday! Pans are R60 each here divide by 8 to get the dollar, I could post some over if that would be cheaper?
ReplyDeleteTell me about it, I cant believe how fast time flies. Scary to think its the middle of the year already. Nice ATCs you've received there.

You have some gorgeous ATC's there, Shaz. I am fascinated with the dumfling, I've just seen them on Jo's desk, they look stunning. What a wonderful word it is.

Super ATCs Shaz, looking forward to seeing your gorgeous card in the playground as well :) Di xx
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, its great to be able to post, knowing I can find time to get around & visit. Once or twice lately things have crept up on me & I hate not being able to visit at the very least the people who visited me. Had a lot of work done on the house( new roof, raised bedroom ceiling), so I will post pics when were finished. As always beautiful stuff to look at on your desk, glad you are well, Love Shaz xx
ReplyDeletemy sister passes me her barely worn clothers too! I love that, I'm the go-between between her and Goodwill ha ha! You did a great job on the technique and thank you for the sweet mention, I love your work too!
ReplyDeleteFabby Snippets Card Shaz . . . but I worry that the swings and slides the wrong way up for you . . . being on t'other side of the world n all!

So glad you love the little dumfling. Lovely things on your blog post today. Pretty little flowers on the card at the bottom. x Jo
ReplyDeleteI always love getting a sneak peek at what you're up to! What wonderful post you've been getting. Thanks too for the link to The Frugal Crafter - some great techniques that I'm now itching to try!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that dumfung absolutely gorgeous - when I am a big girl I will learn how to do that!!
ReplyDeleteHave had a go but mine is just lines of colour but I still like what I do. All new to me this venturing over to fabrics.
So you link to Frugal Crafter too - great minds and all that.
Glad you are recovering from your hectic trip - but what an adventure you had.
Stay well and safe.
Hugs, Neet xx

Hello! Woo Hoo! Can we play in the Playground together Shaz? If you sit on the swing I will push you but very gently and I promise not to push you off! Or maybe we could go on the seesaw!! But as Sarn has said we will have to be gentle so you don't get headache!

Those stamps look particularly lovely with thtat technique Shaz..it's such a good way to showcase solid images. I know the dumflings are beautiful, but don't you think Jo's houses are great too, she has a whole village designed...lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to get one of those dumfings, I am in love with them.LOL
ReplyDeleteThe one from SA may take a while to get there as we have just had a 5 month long postal strike over here! Gladly that is over now, but it may take some time to catch up with sauch a backlog!
