Hullo everyone.
Well has been a rather sad time for the folks in US east coast, in the storm area from ex-hurricane, Sandy.
My thoughts and prayers are with any out there who maybe affected. Am just very grateful my family who were there a few weeks back are now home safe again.
Here we are, another week, halfway through already! So tis time for WOYWW or What Is On
Your Workdesk Wednesday. Please join us at Julia’s wonderful
blog of the Stamping Ground to sticky beak peek at the glories of desks of the world!
Here is my desk today

And yes, some way remnants of last week's work there.. if you remember I had some stamps just newly arrived.

The bundle from Artneko (here is a set of 9 ATC stamped images, and Muted Bamboo too the top left).
Such amazing ones, and have been busy stamping them, and hopefully colour a few with my Caran D'ache pencils at the ready.
Hard to chose which one!
To see their stamps, especially ones on 50% off sale at present L@@K here!
As you can see have my two helpers there too all ready to partake in WOYWW!
A couple more pickies of some flowers here in our local town.
These glorious orchids were a gift to me from my neighbour post surgery earlier in the month, picked from their huge orchid house! Some gorgeous specimens in it as you can see from these Cymbidiums.
These are from the Botanic garden I clicked on my mobile on a walk a few weeks ago now..
"the Penstemon flowers - beautiful shades of pink.." according to Elizabeth, below comment thank you :D |
That's all from me today off to do some more jobs, several doctors appointments, all clear for eyes though! :D
I maybe missing next week because of more medical things..
Thanks so much everyone for popping over for peek and chat.
May God bless your day wherever you may be,

Hi Shaz, got to agree with you about the hurricane, I think we all wish those affected a speedy return to normal. I hope, too, that you are recovering well from your surgery and it's good to see your desk looking so busy. The orchids are gorgeous and I love the rose and the penstemon flowers - beautiful shades of pink. Hope you have a good week and Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x (no number yet)

Need to go visit Artneko as those stamps look delicious. Glad to hear your family are safe and best wishes for next week. Happy WOYWW, hugs Buttons #85
ReplyDeleteSandy has been a terrible storm for those affected! Where I live in inland but our mountains received 2 feet of snow. Where I am just got freezing temps and rain. We are the fortunate ones! Can't wait to see your finished product. Look how neat your pencils are!
ReplyDeleteThere looks like there's lots of colouring going on there this week, Shaz. You look very busy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers as always. Fancy being able to pick orchids like that.
Hope all is good and improving with you.
Take care

Hi again Shaz
ReplyDeleteThanks for tha answer about the pencils...they just look so fabulous laid out on your desk...Little Miss C has a basic set of watrcolours as do I, you have reminded me that that is something I should do with her...she would enjoy the scientific part of the colour blending with the water!
You did not insult me at all...It is funny that I embrace Halloween now...I never used to when the girls lived at home...we never decorated at all...neither did my family. I started about 10 years ago...
Little Miss C and her breother are not allowed to dress up as anything devilish or such. She is a cat (one of the Aristocats from the Disnesy movie and he is Peter Pan. We will see them tonight!
Hi Shaz, so glad things are going well after the surgery, and those orchids are amazing, I do love them.Lovely to see so much going on on your desk, those stamp images are wonderful.have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #90
ReplyDeleteI'm sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don't catch anything. I'm enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I'm leaving a copied comment so you know I've called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
A x #93

You see, I just love those boxes of pencils...that's what caught my eye straight away. Absolutely gorgeous! I was that child who always put them back in colour order :) Signs of OCD even then!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the flowers are really beautiful - I've had an orchid flowering for months now, it's the most gorgeous deep pink!
Hope you're feeling better after your surgery - sending big hugs down under,
LLJ '#68 xx

Totally agree with the prayers for those affected by Storm Sandy, and there are apparently so very many w/out power. Love your card-in-the-making. And your gorgeous flower pics...I need lessons please! Thanks for sharing all this loveliness. How neat your desk looks. (More lessons again!). Very happy to hear that the eyes are doing very well. Hope all the med stuff goes equally well. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI too love my colored pencil and water color pencils. Just bought some Inktense pencils, just like water color pencils but with the ink the colors are much more vivid and bright.
ReplyDeleteKrisha #56

Your orchids are beautiful! By the looks of your desk, it looks like you are starting some serious coloring! The card to the left is so elegant. Love your coloring job! Happy Halloweenie!
ReplyDeleteWow you have been busy! Good to know how you keep out of mischief!!! I love all your flowers, ours are all but fiished now, so I'm looking to you for that summer feel! Take care my friend and don't forget to go walkies! xxx
ReplyDeleteAw bless you indeed, I hope all the medical things go well and pass without fury or incident...I hate to think of you being incapacitated. Love the images awaiting their turn for colour, it's a lot of work! Those orchids are beautiful, fancy having an Orchid House....sounds like they have an east wing!!
ReplyDeleteI echo what you say about the superstorm and all those affected by it. I love thos images that you have ready to colour in. My watercolour pencils of choice are, of course, British - the Derwent range. I love them and can't wait for the chance to get them out again when I have finished my next batch of DT work. Your orchids are so beautiful, and they last so long, don't they. Hope things are going well for you. xx Maggie #42
ReplyDeleteHi there the images you have ready to colour are lovely as are the orchids. I have one that my mum and auntie bought DH and I last year (August 2011) to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anninversary and it has not stopped producing beautiful blooms for over 12 months- I love it. Hope all ges well for the 'more medical things' Anne x #142

ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a lot going on, on your desk this week Shaz.

Happy Crafting!

What a lovely post Shaz, loved the flowers on this cold grey day. I have my three orchids in a colder room at home for five weeks, they're supposed to want to flower more readily after a cold spell when you bring them back into a warmer room. I agree with you about Halloween, we don't join in with decorating or handing out candy. To me it's Samhain anyway, and I always light a candle for my ancestors and close family who have departed before me. Anyway, those stamped images look great and I do love your big tin of pencils, I have a few Caron D'Ache watercolour pencils and the quality is so good. Off to have a look at your candy, well done on the blogging anniversary, it's been a fun couple of years!
