Hi everyone - just very brief post to say wont be blogging for a wee while.
I have been laid up more than I thought with latest bit of work - small skin graft was needed for the skin cancer removal on left foot.
However, I wanted to thank all the dear blogging friends who have sent such cheering greetings - should be back in week or so, all being well :D
As I said few weeks ago, see here - "Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. Ps 90:12"
..and think that this is just what I am being taught at present!
To wait on the LORD, one day at a time - as we none of know what each day which we are given will really bring.

Some pickies .. taken a while back now!
Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia -click here) flower in Mr H.'s garden, called such because of its glorious plumage! |
Okay, I was boasting recently we had pretty good strawberries here is one at 49 grams - not bad, eh! |
And it is surf time here everyone - well not for me, but lots of folks :D
..and yes we do need to slip, slop, slap!
To keep away the skin cancer.
- slip on a shirt,
- slop on the sunscreen,
- slap on hat!
Hooroo! |
Wishing you well really, really soon dear Shaz. Take care, big hugs, Di xx

I hope things go well for your, Shaz. Thank you for all your encouragement this year, and we have really enjoyed seeing your beautiful photos. Years ago, we saw Strelitzias in Italy, and then I grew 5 plants from seed in Dad's greenhouse. They all flowered and grew into huge plants. Might try that again, they are stunning. Looking forward to hearing from you when you feel able. xx Maggie
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Shaz and thanks for all your visits and kind comments through the year. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2013

Sharon, you take all the time you need to heal & get you better. Everyone will be here when you are ready to return. In the meantime, God keep you & heal you, and we'll all be saying a word for you to be looked after. Loved the pictures, and we had Bird of Paradise in Fla. too. Don't think ours was quite as big, bold & beautiful as the one you pictured. Always enjoy seeing your part of the world. Was not our Creator the most Marvelous? Makes you wonder how gorgeous it will be in Heaven, doesn't it? When He gave us so much beautiful here on earth! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz,
