Hullo there everyone..
Well just dropping in
with quick post to let you know I am not going to be blogging for wee while. I
am not sure how long, possibly a few weeks, Lord knows.
Some folk have been asking so thought should let
you know. I still hope to pop by when able, but just very low key.
Some of you may recall I am teaching a class on Thursday
the calligraphy course I do. They are years 7/8 at our local church school. While only
five teens are doing the course, have found I am very unwell this time around. The spirit is willing, but the body not so.
Rather than give this particular class up, (as told to do by family/ friends), after prayer I am cutting
back on everything else. I also have decided (with the LORD) in the long wakeful hours to make it the last time I will teach it to a
group - one on one maybe okay.
Saying farewell to this aspect of teaching is a real sorrow of heart.. “the LORD giveth, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job charged not the LORD foolishly” Job 1:21, 22
So spake Job, (in the oldest book in the Bible), he was one who gave up much, but how much more did
the lovely LORD Jesus, Who gave His very life blood for us, and our salvation
from sin.
God knows - He understands as no-one else does. His way is perfect. As he says in His word above - "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good".
He does know best.. and gives grace for the way.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts on the post before this one, dear
friends, and most of all for your prayers.
Thanks so very much for popping over for a peek and chat –
you do cheer my heart so, may the dear LORD bless you all, Shaz. x
Card is made with a Bible verse stamp unnamed and many years
old + Marianne dies corner frames, Spellbinder Fancy labels 3 I think it was.
I would like to enter it in Di’Snippet challenge (Used snippets) and Word Art Wednesday.
{EDIT: I re-did card as "Thinking of you" card and this how it became - verse is from Word Art Wednesday}

A stunning card! I am so sorry you have to re-evaluate but if it helps, then that is the thing to do! We will miss you but it will be all the sweeter when you return. Take good care of yourself. Luv and Hugs. xx
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful card Shaz - and I'm so sorry to hear you are troubled right now. I hope your inner strength helps you through, but if it really is all too much then perhaps you should put yourself first for once.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, Di xx

His love endures forever!
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely and my heart feels for you at having to give up your class after this one. It's hard to let go of things that we enjoy and want to share with others. How wonderful of you to share this talent for as long as you have.
My prayers will be with you as you teach this class. We'll be waiting when you are able to return to your blogging friends.
Blessings,
Betsy

Stunning card as usual. That background against the lovely white design is awesome. Will miss you while you're away, but know that you're doing what you've been led to do. Hope you don't get too tired out, feel worse. Will keep you in prayer as you journey through your class chores. There is a reason you've been sent down this path...Your followers will be waiting until you can join us again. God keep you well. Hugs
ReplyDeleteVery nice card indeed Shaz.
ReplyDeleteA gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do . . . it will all work out in the end.

This is such a beautiful card! I love the colour! Very elegant and simply gorgeous! TFS!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful card, Shaz, and the verse is one that bears remembering again and again.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your troubles, it is so hard when decisions like yours have to be made (I recently gave up teaching Sunday School after 27 years so I know where you're coming from.) But it's always good to remember that the Lord places us where He needs us and I take comfort from that.
God bless you!

ReplyDeleteWe will continue to pray for you. Pray that the Lord will bring healing and comfort. That he will give you peace about giving up the teaching and that he will show what he has for you in the future. Blessings and hugs
