Hullo there everyone ... well this is a bit rare, two posts in one day! but really am getting backlog of cards so need to do something about it!! these two have made in the last few days..
First is seeing Mrs A. Butterfly challenge required yellow and any number of butterflies, thought of this image and away I went! used CB folder "Daisies", SB Fancy Oval for image (detailed with frosted yellow chalk + glossy accents), SB oval petites and Fancy labels 3 for greeting, ribbon and pearls. Bible verse stamp is from Our Daily Bread, so entering it also in their challenge.

Using the Nicecrane Vintage Butterfly and Blossoms set on both cards. Below is the card I was working on my desk late Wednesday, is already winging its way to England. Made with CB Kassie's Brocade larger folder, SB Beaded Ovals for image, (Panpastel dusting on open areas before removing die), greeting in SB Fancy labels, EK Success Arrow punch used with ribbon and pearls.
I made it into an Easter card as the Bible verse digi stamp is about the Good Shepherd from Word Art Wednesday, and thought it appropriate.
Here is the verse here if you would like it.
Verse is by Karen of Word Art Wednesday, see here. Right Click on it to save it.
I wrote a poem to go inside my friends card .. and although not brilliant, you are welcome to sue it for your Easter cards if you wish.
Jesus said: “I am
the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” John
10:11
The Lord is my shepherd,
We are the sheep of His
pasture,
What great treasure is this!
To have this comfort through each
day,
Whether it brings good or something
amiss,
God blesses His own, come what may!
This Gift found freely in Jesus, His
Son,
Is waiting to be accepted by every
one.

God
richest blessing to you this Eastertime,
As we
remember this great Gift given for us.
May the LORD richly bless you and those you love today and in the week ahead that the LORD has given. If you are struggling with burdens or cares, take to them to the One Who understands - like no-one else! For in Him we find Strength, Peace and Rest; freely given to all who call upon Him.
Love and prayer for each of you dear ones out there. You are such a blessing to me,
Shaz in Oz.x

Two beautiful cards...If I had to pick a favorite...I couldn't. A Baby Platypus? How absolutely sweet that would be. I'd sign up to care for the little fella during the winter shift....don't they sleep all winter? :-) Happy crafting.

Shaz, I once saved a nest of baby squirrels that had fallen during a storm. The rescue folk said to keep them warm by putting them against your skin. I put on a heavy sweater and carried them against my tummy until the rescue lady came. I'm up for keeping them warm until Brenda B can knit a tiny sweater! We don't have platypus in my neighborhood. Do you think Di will say yes if we beg and promise to keep the pond clean?
ReplyDeleteBoth of your designs are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHugs diane
