Hullo everyone .. yes another mid week post.. and yes not much time as seem to be working on overload here .. need to get outside and sort out some things out there soon while it isn't too cold. Enough waffling, here to my desk, for it is WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday, over at world wide desk hostess Julia’s blog - here!
Re the download of the new fonts above if you are like me and like to use digi personalised greeting on computer, this site is really good and this is where some these came from Dafont.com
now if you have Word you can install these fonts into your word programme (Ginny taught me this as wasn't straight forward to me).
Steps are as follows ( I have 2003 version of Word):
- Chose font and download.
- Open download file and move to Documents location of folder called Calligraphy fonts.
- Extract files by right click on 7zip.
- Select (highlight it) extracted file to actually open the extracted file.
- Use the word doc button on top tool bar and select “Word Font viewer” from clicked on down drop menu of two.
- Click install button on top of pop out with Word Font viewer. It is then installed on Word. Open a word doc.
- Find the font in Word drop down menu list and use on Word.
Card made with digi image... and also a freebie digi bamboo image, which added embossing too. See over here on Ginny's blog she often has freebie digis for everyone.. really love this one! Verse is from Word Art Wednesday. What a great promise to hold onto, His word is our Light and and Guide .. and really that is found the LORD Jesus, for He the Light of the World, and is also called the Way the Truth and the Life! how utterly precious.. |
We used to eat them on the way home from school, as was tree of them, plus guava tree ,yum... and some mulberries.
Also would like to welcome my newest wodnerful encourager... and a new blogger so go and welcome her! she has some lovely digi paper on offer too, see here Gracie of Graciellie design!
Happy WOYWW every one and may God bless your day!
wherever you may be!

Your card with the bamboo is very pretty I really like the verse on it too Shaz. I'm fascinated by your pictures of the lorikeets. Such beautiful birds!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
That's annoying about that packaging. Glad they weren't damaged. I MUST remember to get out my WOYWW badge (it's in a "safe" place) and put it on my desk. Have a good week,

Love the card and the bright blue and yellow. Don't you just love Wikipedia!! Have a great week. Helen 4
ReplyDeleteI love your new spellbinders die. Glad it arrived safely. I love your card to but what really caught my eye was your 2 monkeys from a well known tea company! My mum and I have them to and thought everyone else had probably thrown theirs by now!

Good morning Shaz. Great desk shot this morning - all that gorgeous colour and those fonts look good. The bamboo card is really attractive. Well done. Thanks for your continued prayer for John. Not an easy time for him, but, as one of our church leaders said last evening, "Take hold of the good things which are happening for you".
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Beautiful card Shaz. Always love the Oz images as well. Will pop and see Gracie now. Anne x #35
ReplyDeleteLove the lorikeet, love the elephant image, gorgeous card from Ginny - in fact a desk full of loveliness. The blue and orange(ness) of it all makes me feel happy - must use these two colours myself.

Ah I love me a good font, I do! Frankly it's almost not even worth buying sentiment stamps as I can print anything I want in the size I want and the font I want. And oh Spellbinders...the do have the prettiest dies but since I don't make a lot of cards (I tend to do it in bursts, 5 or 10 at a time then not again for yonks) I an usually resist :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Lovely snippets card there Shaz!
ReplyDeleteOh no, Spellbinders changed their packaging? Those dies need good protection before being sold. I know you commented that you keep yours in their packaging whereas mine are always removed and the dies are on magnetic sheets in binders. BUT, I JUST learned how to made pretty flowers with the packaging - sigh :(
Hugs, Di xx
Pretty cards .... and now I know what the tree in my backyard is called. Our birdlife love eating the fruit. I have to be very tricky and get to it first if I want to eat any. Have a lovely week.

Shaz you certainly are keeping busy,
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you create with your new Spellbinders die:)
Lorikeets are gorgeous yet they can be so very noisy, when we have our trees in flower we can't here ourselves talk:)
Enjoy your week.
hugs
sharon:)

Hi Shaz, lovely cards as always, love the bamboo image. Dafont is ace, I agree, as is Urbanfonts and 1001fonts. What a lovely bird to have flying around wild- none of ours are anywhere near as colourful.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz xx #19
ReplyDeleteThe birthday card with the elephant is fabulously adorable! :) Also love that Spellbinder. How far up do those numbers go. First I had to keep getting the ones in the teens, and then I had to have labels 25, now you are enabling me to want 26!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the photo of bird and tree, and the story. I am glad you did, because I was showing my husband about this blog hop and specifically went to yours because you usually include photos like this. We were not disappointed. #78

Goodness, there's a heap of stuff on your desk this week!! Hope you've been having fun with that little lot :-). Love that oriental card, very smart!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 21 xx
Hi Shaz, love your colourful desk this week - and such a lot going on. I have lots of super fonts loaded on my PC but couldn't tell you now where I found many of them, it was so long ago. Oddly, I don't use them as much since I retired - I just forget they are there. Love the Aussie photo today - such a colourful bird. It's been a windy old day today so it was surprisingly chilly when out watering the garden - it does seem to have died down now so perhaps tomorrow will be better. Thanks for your earlier visit. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #56
ReplyDeleteHi Monkeys!!! nice to see you. It feels really strange when you talk about the cold Lol!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely and the new die.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #41
Lots of pretty things on your desk this week. I just got a new die with the new minimalist packaging too. It didn't bother me (I didn't think about it getting bent) but I did wonder about all those people who use the thick plastic in their multimedia art. Love the primary colors on the first birthday card, so fun. Judy #77
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, fabulous card, great use of snippets too, love the green you have used and the finished look is so very elegant. Fabulous photo's too - it took me a while to see the bird what a beautiful creature Karen x
ReplyDeleteThat is a top share Shaz, those sort of instructions are valuable. I use DA font but haven't got them in Word, I have to type it all up and do loads of moves to change it to DAfont when I'm done. Thanks!
ReplyDeletehard to believe you're hustling to get stuff done. Because of the cold! Love the bugaboo card in the making, my word, don't we all spend a lot of time putting special cards together!!
Visiting your blog is always SUCH a blessing to me. Not only do I get to see the beautiful art you create, but I'm also lifted up each time by your encouraging words. Thanks for being such a blessing to me and for sharing your lovely creations with us. You are such a blessing!
