Hullo there everyone - well this week and really whole year is on fast forward so missed WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday yesterday! but here I am to join in on Thursday :D.. pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground!
My desk in mid creating mode this morning, in between jobs, making this card below:
Over at Mrs A's its another challenge and this time we need Butterfly challenge - use butterfly and 3 designer papers :D
And here is another card made quickly with an image found online if any one wants it they can email me.. all snippets except base, even image printed on snippet. :D
To close with an image from Oz today....
Was really excited today, I went to run for the camera to show him to
you all - but he flew away before could take one for you. However this
is what was in the backyard - he is a male King Parrot. I think he was enjoying the rain falling gently, which has
been so very scarce, but took this image from online .. for more, see here - King parrot. We also had a scaly breasted lorikeet here two days ago, flew away after feasting on the flowers on grevillea. You would think they would wait for you to rush and get your camera, and then pose for you, eh? not sure if the drought is bring them into town or what? as don't often see either of these. |
Also if you did not see the fluff balls from last week and want to know what these are?.. look over here on this post.
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, may God bless your day wherever you may be!

Lovely cards, Shaz, and gorgeous pics from Oz as usual. What a stunning red parrot! Makes our UK birds look somewhat drab.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to your other post, too - I roared with laughter at your funnies! Great stuff.
Thanks for your visit and your nice comment - so glad you like my mini-album. I did 3 more pages yesterday, and am waiting for my camera battery to recharge so I can post about them.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Thank you for fluttering by and being first in with this gorgeous card. Your friend will appreciate
ReplyDeletereceiving. I love the flower and also the delicate lacy pattern of the background. Did wonder if I had made it too hard with 3 dp's
(which is why I made different cards) but you have come up trumps. Hugs Mrs A.
So pretty. TFS!

I love how you combined all those patterned papers together. I have the hardest time doing that and yours came together beautifully. It makes a stunning card. The online image is beautiful too. Your country is so gorgeous. I've only seen parrots in a pet shop and to see one on a tree limb is the best. Thanks for sharing those pictures as well as your cards.
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous snippets cards here my little friend! You sure cracked combining the three designer papers, am hoping Mrs A doesn't come up with ever more tricky themes as the weeks go by!

busy desk and I love those cards! I was late like you but I thought I would rather be late then not play at all! That red bird is brilliant. I love it. My SIL African Grey has a bright red tail like that! Thanks for stopping by my desk and leaving a comment! Have a great week. Vickie #68

ReplyDeleteThanks for the warm welcome on your blog :) Your calligraphy work is stunning. I started calligraphy one year ago, but I'm far from masterpieces like yours. Also, you made a beautiful blue butterfly card.
ReplyDeleteAnd I absolutely love your photos from Oz - to have all the colourful birds in the backyard must be really amazing, I can only see some parrots in the zoo.
Hugs,
Veronika

Oh those birds are great! What a shame the parrot wouldn't pose for you.... I went and read your 'fluff ball' post. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI also like those printed cards that you bought to use as toppers. I too like to emphasize the real reason for Christmas.
Sorry I'm so late in commenting. I like to comment on all of the posts but there just aren't enough hours in the day...
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
Have a good week.

Such beautiful cards and thank you so much for sharing these and for joining us over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog! :)
ReplyDeleteHi there. I am SO late visiting this week.
ReplyDeleteThe card is so beautiful, Shaz - well done. Those plover babies are just gorgeous. We have plovers here - also called peewits or lapwings 'cos of the way they fly, looping from side to side in the sky. They are lovely birds, and we can often see them in the field just down the hill from our bungalow. Mostly, at the moment, it is curlews we see. Lovely birds with a beautiful rippling song. Some folk call their song mournful - but no me! think it's lovely!!
Thanks for visiting already, and for your comments. Yes, the money raised at the table top sale has gone to fund the bunk beds for the dormitory in our sponsor school in Kyehimba. The team has just got back and say it is coming on well and will be ready for the new intake of pupils in February. Brilliant. Thank you Father God.
Take care. God bless.
