{WARNING - Picture heavy post.}
Hullo there everyone - YES! 'Tis Wednesday and desk showing/ sharing again!! Pop over to Julia's - we all join together to share and learn on a world wide desk hop.
Here are my messy desks x 2 = double trouble :D
Desk late Monday as was making my nephew's birthday card - used some snippet of photo paper which had been inked using the crumpled wet cling wrap method see here. Am measuring pieces for tile effect on card with snippet of back to mount. |
Completed card with computer print out for greeting, Stamp is from My Stamps 44F of Australia, circa 1995. |
Today's desk shows the card begun last fortnight's desk, and here layering the Cheery Lynn "Mini Fanciful Flourish die"with three layers so it sits well on card. Rest of recipe see this post here - where made wedding card - this card was test run for it. Inked up on the die cuts to match the DP. |
The finished card - 70th for my dear friend's birthday. Do love Spellbinders -recipe here |
A close up so you can see the details, greeting is on computer again. The green is there on the DP, it just does not show up much in photos. |
Ending with a little of housekeeping I am delighted to welcome a new encourager of this blog ~ Therese, from Australia, who does great videos - her blog is Lost in Paper, do pop over. https://lostinpaper.wordpress.com

What a beautiful Bible verse - and so appropriate. Two gorgeous photos of the wonderful area in which you live (or visit).
ReplyDeleteThree gorgeous cards too - I love the froggy one and must check out that technique - such a lot you can do with cling film. The Cheery Lynn one - well, that is just absolutely beautiful and the biscuit one is pure genius.
You are so talented Shaz.
Take care, Blessings, Neet xx 29
Love all your cards, but that 70th one is really beautiful, so pretty with all it's layers. The biscuit one made me smile..they looked lush!!

Love the cards Shaz. The frog card is a great idea, it's ages since I used the clingfilm technique. Looking at your photos reminds me of what a fantastic place we live in, you're enjoying the lovely summer weather and we are looking out at a gorgeous frosty morning. Thanks for the visit and hope you have a great woyww, Angela x 33

Hello!
ReplyDeleteLove your card and that picture of the foamy sea ah wish I could jump in there! I am in England at the moment - it is cold here but at home in Slovenia they have about 70 cm of snow! So a big difference from what you have there! So lucky!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian
Super cards Shaz. Beautiful photos of sea. I am longing to have our ( cancelled last year cos of knee ) holiday by the sea. Anne x #40

ReplyDeleteLovely cards, Shaz - cute frog!! Oh, that sunshine and sea! We haven't had snow here by the sea, but there is plenty on the mountains... how I'd love to get to them and see it.... have to see if John is up to that.
ReplyDeleteTake care, and thanks for visiting.
God bless.

I love the tiled frog card, if I attempt anything like that I end up with wonky, odd sized tiles! Your scenic photo looks very inviting.
ReplyDeleteHorace @ no.47
Such beautiful cards you have created and I love the photos of the ocean. I could spend the rest of my days living close to our oceans...it is food for my soul!

Picture heavy posts are ALWAYS welcome! Wonderful cards, and absolutely gorgeous landscape photos. So beautiful, Shaz, thank you for sharing them! The ocean photo really does illustrate that verse, I can see why you chose it.

Such a cute card for the little boy. I have a hard time making cards for kids and this is great. The birthday card for the 70 year old friend is beautiful. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely cards - especially the froggy design. x Jo
ReplyDeleteWell here in France it is grey and cold with our first spattering of snow yesterday! beautiful beach scenes...want to do a swap?...
ReplyDeleteYour cards are wonderful and I adore all three! Each has their own merit and are superb! Lucky recipients! Bravo mon amie!
It's still cold here in the Pacific Northwest, but not as bad as on our East coast so I'm not complaining too much. :-) However it would be a wonderful thing to be swimming with you in that lovely ocean my friend. My favorite card today is the 70th birthday one. It is gorgeous with all of my favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Love that froggy stamp... just my style. Wow..the waves..the warm water...I am so envious! I hope you enjoyed your holiday in the bright blue.
ReplyDeleteI tried the cling plastic once, but my paper was not coated enough and it ripped... Checked your link, but I don't have glossy card at the moment...I'll have to retry with photo paper! Love the frog, really fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
I want to go splashing around in a warm sea salt bath! That totally sounds appealing. You've accomplished all sorts of wonderful things lately. Love that birthday card, so much loveliness all in one place. Judy #79
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, that 70 th card is gorgeous!!!! Love it. Beautiful scenery, too. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. #32
ReplyDeleteThe Texas coast is really a bay the Gulf of mexico and we do not have surface and it never looks that blue which is probably OK as I could never take a fab photo like you have. makes me want to jump on a plane. Love the blue of the cards and now can ssee your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh my friend, how I would love to go swimming in the ocean :) I haven't been in the ocean since my honeymoon and that was....almost 8 years ago.
ReplyDeleteYou always create beautiful cards, dear Shaz. Thank you for sharing. Hugs to you!
What wonderful cards. And seeing such a beautiful picture of the water...love it!

What a terrific frog card. That is a great technique with the plastic wrap. It's a good guy card. Your second card is beautiful and so detailed. The biscuit picture made my mouth water. They are gorgeous! So is your scenery. How wonderful you have a place like that to visit.
ReplyDeleteWOW . That is an awesome desk for sure ... :) Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteKind regards

Hi Shaz, love the cling wrap background. I will have to give that a try. I adore your beach shots. Even though we have a boat and often go up the Hawkesbury River for the weekend, I pine for the ocean. I love everything about the beach, summer or winter ... I think it's genetic.
ReplyDeleteAbout those Gelatos ... I got them from Craftonline and no they didn't cost a fortune, $15, I think. Some other sets were less than that but the ones I got are "metallic", because, naturally, I'm attracted to anything shiny :)
Beautiful cards. Especially like the froggy one. Thought I heard a frog in our pond the other day. Beginning to wake up and getting ready for the spring. I checked on my little Ellie's yesterday and they are still tucked up snug in the leaf moulds in the container in the garage. Won't be ready to hatch out until April.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for spring to start.
Had enough of the cold and wet and damp. Not having a good time here at present. Amongst other things I have a double dose of cystitis. Pills from Dr's have just about kicked in but feeling very down. hugs mrs A.
Beautiful bible verse, it goes so well with the photo. Your cards are gorgeous, love the froggy one and those biscuits are scrummy.

Oh and I love your pictures- the beach looks so pretty- I just had a quick visit to Florida- not warm enough to swim, but a beautiful beach and the first night sunset was just fabulous!
