Hullo everyone... this is desk time of the week, Wednesday .. over at Julia's for WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday
Stamp is from ODB and the MFT Upsy Daisy die, and more snippets of DP. |
This is the twelve in all, I have posted some of them.. others shown here, here, here and here - two each link. .. or just scroll down below the posts. I will share the other four in the next week. |
Here is the photo from downunder, it is a sucking insect on our hibiscus. I really should have killed it but took a photo instead :D it is a jewel bug .. see details here. It is another part of God's beautiful creatures we have here .. my sister is travelling overseas and commented on how few birds, animals and insects they see over there compared to here.. we really are blessed. |
Barb, a very new blogger from the Snippety playground and very new to WOYWW also, has joined this blog as a wonderful encourager.
Well, thanks for peeking everyone, happy WOYWW and may God bless your day wherever you may be,
Shaz in Oz. x

Morning from the UK Shaz. What a lot to look at from you today. Your cards look absolutely stunning all laid out together. Your clockworks card looks amazing. My hubby does macro photography and will love the photo of your bug. Thank you for introducing me in your post. Have a wonderful week. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteWell you're just being prolific!a gorgeous set of cards Miss Shaz, am fascinated by the pro markers on the vellum, howsubtle is the viewed side, and how long have you spent doing it...that may be the thing for me...back to inking the embossing folded and putting up with that finish!
ReplyDeleteooo Shaz - I love the gold embossed clockwork piece! You really do make some beautiful cards. x Jo
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, happy Wednesday. What a beautiful collections of cards - all really nice. Have a wonderful week - been a bit fresh lately hey. Cheers RobynO#9
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, it's always lovely to see what you have been doing, the cards are gorgeous. What a pretty little bug, quite similar to our Ladybird, I take it yours is a bit of a pest? Our Ladybird is a nice bug, it eats greenfly/aphids, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #11 xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, Such a beautiful collection of cards, each one so different, I am sure the family will be blessed by receiving them. I love painting on vellum too, it is so eligant too! I found if I slip a piece of bond (printer paper)in the dry emboss folder with the vellum it prevent it from "breaking".
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering in the Word Art Wednesday Challenge # 193, Have a great day! Ginny M DT WAW
Hi Shaz, beautiful collection of cards and I love the embossed rose. I actually think I might have something very similar. You have inspired me to find it and have a play. Have a lovely week.

WOW! Your cards are just gorgeous!!!! Really like the clock card and, of what I see of the 3D Rose card... oh my!!! Not sure what I think of the jewel bug. I probably would have killed it if it was threatening my garden plants. Happy WOYWW!

Love the embossing with the watch, love that card and idea. Pretty design with the daisy's too, you did a wonderful job with these and I am sure they are all touched that you put so much love into these cards for them all.
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing bug, isn't it wonderful how God blessed different regions with their own animals and bugs and trees and bushes.
Wonderful snippets cards Shaz - I do especially love the clockwork one, although the daisies are also fab with the snippets of DP behind.

There is so much beauty in this post Shaz. Each card is a true work of art and a mystery to someone like me who doesn't do paper craft at all. I can appreciate the beauty of it though. That sucking bug resembles our ladybugs here in the states. I'm no great fan of bugs though. Blessings,

I'm so in awe over all your dozen cards. They are all so fabulous and wonderful and different. I find them very inspiring and wish I were home so I could play right now! Judy #51
ReplyDeleteThe clockwork card is fab! What a lovely thing to receive. I need to turn my hand to making some cards...we've so many one year olds' birthdays coming up with Ben being a social butterfly! Happy crafting :-)
ReplyDeletewonderful cards, and I love the embossed vellum! Not sure about the bug, I'm sure it's very pretty but don't like them if they hurt me, or could hurt me!! Helen 2
ReplyDeleteStunning cards! You HAVE been busy! Interesting bug - reminds me a bit of our ladybirds, although ladybirds are good for our gardens. Liz #49 xx
ReplyDeleteLove the cards, gorgeous. Great photo of the insect. I think if you live in a town you see less wild life in the UK but since we came to live in Lincolnshire I have seen creatures I never saw before so I think it depends on where you are. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 28
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card designs Shaz, and wow what a interesting bug.
ReplyDeleteHugs Diane
Gorgeous projects, I especially love the clock embossing on gold.
ReplyDeleteHi again Shaz, thanks for that link. As soon as I got there, I recognised Dini from SCS. She actually did a really good video on them which I sat and watched a couple of days ago- it was that which got me moving to get mine out! She really is very good, and has a lovely voice to listen to. Going back to read her blog now, which I've bookmarked! Thanks shaz xxx
ReplyDeleteLoving the vast array of cards. My favorite is the pink roses, lovely! Noticed the iridescent coloring of the bug, thus the name jewel bug? Diane 44
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous cards, Shaz! And they look wonderful laid out all together! I'm quite impressed at how productive you are! And that clockworks card is awesome! Love it! Great photo of the bug. Beautiful coloring.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

A beautiful array of cards. I especially like the one with the clock pieces on. I am faced with having to make a sympathy card for a dearly departed loved one that we had really wished and hoped would not have been so imminent. Life can be so cruel. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what is on your work desk- and am getting more tempted to join in- just waiting to have our bathroom remodeled- as the workers tools are all being stored in my work space for the time being...... My goodness, what a beautiful set of cards you have created! I just LOVE the Gold background you have created, and all of the others are stunning as well. Loving being inspired by you!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous selection of cards Shaz. You're very taltented.
