At first using Promarkers to colour it.. then had an idea (make it more complicated!! 3D it!). Used CB embossing folder "Branches" to emboss the grass coloured card. |
Triple checking I have it right, before I glue it!! the digital sentiments are with Chisel Script, free font by Dafont.com added to Word. I have tutorial on how to download it here. Embossed greetings with clear EP, as a dense scrips, printed on smooth card. If you use a shiny or really smooth surfaced card you are able to heat emboss it: 1. Smooth over surface to be printed on with embossing buddy (see how to make one here) before printing 2. As soon as out of printer add clear EP and heat set quickly. |
Finished card - and jut for the record my very dear Uncle Ted's 80th birthday was just PAR-fect! God blessed in every way. |
To my Aussie shots now.. two taken by my sister (Robyn in Oz :D) on their visit down to South coast of NSW, at a place very aptly named!
Pretty Beach, a real treat visually in every way!
Some lounging lazily kangaroos at nap time in afternoon :D |
Here it is ... Pretty Beach, one of its views, God's creation quite takes your breath way. I have few more to share later on. |
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be! Shaz in Oz.x

ReplyDeleteOh my! Feel for you having to start over and over again; been there and done that so many times! Had a real chuckle about pierced dies after 3D-ing. But you ended up with a fab card.

Hi Shaz,
ReplyDeleteYour perseverance with this card has been well rewarded I think, it's fantastic! I love it! Would you mind if I tried to make something similar, I don't have this image but I do have golfy ones and I know someone who would love a card like this.
Thanks for sharing, Lyns #17 xx
Isn't it funny how some projects are simply£@^%&$*@ from beginning to end while others just sail through smoothly! It was worth persevering though as that card is fab..the tartan pattern just sets it off perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 11 xx

What a wonderful card, such a lot of love gone into making that, FOUR times! It is so frustrating when things don't work out as you plan, but the end result was well worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of kangaroos and the lack of imagination but honestly named Pretty Beach.
Bless you
Chris #15
Hi Shaz, and yes, I admit to laughing a little at all the mishaps. Just because it was so cheering to discover I'm not the only one who has card sessions like that! Well worth the effort though, the card is amazing. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #19xxx

Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou are a stayer, I want you to know that I have learned that I don't need realism like grass and sky, I'm just too lazy a card maker! Your Uncles card is perfect. If only our recipients knew what we went through! I love the photo of your desk with pen and pencils cluttered around your space...this is how it is for me all the time!
Great perseverance and it pays off!! Awesome card!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Diane - WOYWW #32

ReplyDeleteSo much tried, but your persevering has had an amazing result! Great dimensions and design on your card!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, too!
Have a great day
And my husband thinks I tear my knitting out too often and start over! Ha ha! I am so impressed with your perseverance on this car Shaz. It turned out wonderfully. Those two Aussie photos take my breath away. I can't imagine having kangaroos just lounging around anywhere, since I live in the Northwest United States. And pretty beach, oh my goodness, it is beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Great card for your uncle I do that all the time but I usually just live with my boo boos happy woyww hugs Nikki 41
ReplyDeleteWell your card turned out beautifully, I must admit to doing the same, start, change my mind and usually make it more complicated, I get there eventually, hats why I never glue until it's all cut and as I want it.
ReplyDeleteJan. No 43

ReplyDeleteGlad you shared your story, I must admit I've got similar experiences with a few of my cards. If it starts wrong, I'll keep naming errors. Good thing you didn't give up as I'm sure your uncle loved his card as much as I did. Cute and masculine and fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and love the finished card. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 22

Good for you that you persevered. I would have chucked it in the bin by now! It turned out 'par-fect' and uncle Ted will have liked it a lot. How did you do the golf ball? I mean the 'dents' in it.I have many golfers in my immediate family and a golf themed card is always good.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from sunny Spain,
Have a good week,
Lisca

Goodness, but this card gave you a fit Sharon! But I'm glad the 4th time was the charm. It sure came out great and I love it! I bet Uncle Ted loved it too!! Love the picture of the kangaroos, they are so cute. And oh my, the beak view is just stunning! Ya'll do have a beautiful country. Well, God has made a beautiful and stunning world! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteYour adventure with making this card sounds like me. I do things backward, mess up entirely, find out when I am half way through I don't have what I thought I had that I need. Oh, the fun fun of cardmaking! I think God uses it to teach us patience. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteGod is the greatest Artist and nothing heals us as much as Nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of the beach and fun to see the kangaroos.
Happy weekend to your from the other side of the world.
Sussie, nr 28
