Hullo everyone, lobbing with a quick post here - for Scrappy Mo's Christmas card challenge - aka Rudolph day over here!
Of course - Christmas cards start the Easter story, don't they?
.. the coming of Christ as wee babe!
.. the coming of Christ as wee babe!
First card is an upcycle card - Christmas card re-made, nice and quick with few bits added. As it says: " the wise still seek Him". |
... and why did Jesus come? ..that He might die on the cross, suffer death and be cut off, separated from
His Father in heaven - when He bore our sin!
.. for He cried out on the cross: "My God,
My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" ..
He was forsaken by God the Father because He was bearing our sins,
.. dying for my sin and your sins.
Praise Our God -
He didn't stay dead, but He rose again.. and:
"He is not here, for He is risen as He said." Glory Hallelujah!
"He is not here, for He is risen as He said." Glory Hallelujah!
This is the stamp that was on my desk two days ago, NOEL by Magenta (gift from Ginny of Maxam Made, I just had to pay post cost to Oz :D). Embossed in gold EP. Touched up with watercolour pencils. |
Cut up letters then edged cut plain edges on the edge of Versafine +EP. |
Well, I'm delighted to welcome new wonderful encouragers. Wow! Such creative work on both blogs, so a very big welcome to:

Beautiful cards, so fitting to make Christmas cards at Easter I think. Your calligraphy continues to wow me, the closest I've ever got to calligraphy is dropping my mum's calligraphy board on my big toe as a child and breaking it (my toe not the board!). Take care, Cara x
ReplyDeleteHello Shaz and what lovely cards, I especially love the second one, the colouring of the tiles is glorious and what colours. Great upcycling on your wise men card too, have a lovely Easter weekend, Kate x

Love the Noel images! So pretty, TFS!
ReplyDeleteYes, it sure does all start with Christmas Sharon! I love that you did this post this way. We couldn't have reached this point in Easter without Christ being born. Now I am loving your cards! Great way to recycle an older store card! I love that "wise men still seek Him" sentiment and it was perfect for this card. Your Noel card is just stunning. What a fabulous stamp and I love the sentiment verse you placed on this one too. I hope you had a Blessed Easter my friend! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLovely rich cards xxx
