Will share how my card is made it step by step.
For those who don't want all the details - then just look at the pickies :D
Took a piece of water colour paper, and some watercolour markers in this case Tombow markers - bought in 1990's and still going strong. Wet it thoroughly with misted water to let colours blend. allow to dry well before using embossing buddy (how to make one here) and inked stamp as per recipe below. (Used yellows because the lady who I was making this for fav colour is yellow!! Green used, which wasn't tombow didn't blend, so did another sheet without the green) |
Finished card - used the following items:
Clear Embossing Powder and snippets of cardboard.
Also made some bookmarks to go with this card .. the pippi butterfly die was used here. Not actually in
list but Bec is able to source it for you... or check link there are some
similar ones there too.

I have made two other cards with this Butterfly stamp - you can see how versatile it is! please click on links for how they're made :D
Recipe - details here |
Thanks so much every one for popping voter for a peek and chat!
May God bless your day wherever you may be.

You do such wonderful backgrounds. If I may say I really like the two tags but the cards are wonderful. Butterflies are so much fun, peaceful winged beauties. Thank you so much for entering your creative and beautiful art in our challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

These cards are even more gorgeous than your last one, such pretty colors in the first and the embossing with the copper background in the second is perfect. Terrific bookmarks also!!
ReplyDeleteAll your cards are so cute!!! I will somethings edge my paper using my Copics. It seems to dry faster then just edging with ink-I can never leave it alone long enough for it not to smudge when I use ink!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.

ReplyDeleteA beautifully detailed stamp, and looks great in each card that you've done. Loved the ombre technique with the w/colors, and the edging details too. I especially loved the richness of the coppery embossing with the turquoise and gold on #2, and the more sea-shore color combo of #3. Great work! TFS & Happy wkend.
ReplyDeleteMy friend. Thank you for the wonderful comments on my blog. Your cards are beautiful! Thank you also for the great recipe for "Gelli plate".
ReplyDeleteI also really long was collecting money for purchases from Ryn Tanaka. When I have the necessary amount, it turned out that the delivery costs are enormous. But Jesus helped me :-) For you can certainly find some way that you could have some lovely stamps from Ryn. That I sincerely wish.

That stamp set is gorgeous, Shaz! Love what you created with them - just beautiful! I've got a few Tombows but I've never used them for backgrounds - I thought they were a new product - didn't know they go back to the 1990s! Thanks for visiting the other day, even though I skipped WOYWW this week. Hope to be back next week!
ReplyDeleteThese butterfly cards and bookmarks are just beautiful. I love the background made with watercolor and the card you made with it is so fantastic. The bronze cards are simply gorgeous. All I can say is wow. The shimmer on your last card just shines. I have never seen a rock pool so thank you for sharing that. You live in a stunning place.
