WOYWW + ODBD Challenge

Flying in with really quick post - pickies? plenty - yes Words - not too much!
Its WOYWW or What is on your workdesk Wednesday over here ..at our Julia's of the Stamping Ground!
To my desk this morning:
Well, it is moderately tidy considering I am mid card! You cant actually see it, 'cos it is hid under the white sheet at very front right. It has new item from today's mail on top of it.  The card is for a birthday next month, might also use it DT post.
BTW love the Cottage Cutz stitched ovals, was able to get them very reasonably (for Oz) from Bizzy Bec's ..they fit perfectly onto most of my Spellbinder fancy ovals ones, here am using it (see test die cuts at front with blue peg on top of it) from SB Elegant Ovals.
Loved this since it came out, has underneath the "prayers" die too, to match it - so many lovely cards with this set and cant wait to use it..
My desk last Friday, used SB Fancy ovals with the Cottage Cutz stitched ovals.. dusted in a combination of picked raspberry and dusty concord DI. This was an order, my friend love turquoise and purple, she wanted this verse (which I love) from Romans 12:12 -
“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”
Recipe:
Digi image for Romans 12:12 on
Cottage Cutz stitched ovals,
popped up onto SB Fancy ovals, ODBD Beautiful borders, MB Pippi Butterfly,
LOTV Background paper, Lala Land fancy corners.

ODBD Beautiful borders, SB Petite scallop ovals, ODB Rose Stamp layered on dimensionals, CB Vintage Corners (disc.), digi rose paper by Donna of Bearly My designs.
To the Aussie shots - when out with dad for Sunday icecream drive, we found a new spot or "not-in-years" visited one! looks inviting doesn't it?
.. this is the hill we came down, with the beautiful growth all around.
This is what it opened up into - the creek, and goes out to sea in far distance. It is good fishing spot apparently as you see below .. a canoeist!

Well, I'm delighted to welcome new wonderful encouragers ..
a big welcome to Kim of Cupcakes, Cards and Kim
You will learn much from this clever crafter.. a pleasure to visit..
And also Kathy K of Purpliscious Princess Diaries
.... so do pop over to their blogs and give them some encouragement!
Thanks so much everyone for popping over and saying hi!
And may God bless your day wherever you may be!

  1. I've always liked that verse in Romans and the purple card is perfect. Well, they are both beautiful, but since purple is my very favorite color...You are so talented Shaz.

Love the Aussie shots for today too. What a beautiful road to meander down and have the refreshing water at the end of it. Perfection.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  2. What a busy desk you have Shaz - you work in an area about as small as I do - although my desk is very large, as I don't have much in the way of storage, so a lot sits on the desk....
Love your cards - they are so pretty.
    That river mouth looks beautiful

  4. Until I was searching for oval dies I didn't realise that each set was different in shape. Narrow ovals and fatter ovals! I think I might have to invest in some of those stitched ones, they look great or is it the 'Shaz in Oz Magic' that has worked them so well?
Thanks as always for the lovely shots from around your area- just wish I was there. So tranquil.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me whilst I was out.

  34. Both cards are just beautiful, love the papers along with the elegant dies, love the border dies on both!!
So good you were able to get out to a place you haven't been to in awhile with your Dad, it looks like it was a wonderful day... I love when roads have trees growing over it like that too form little tunnels. We have some of those in Northern Michigan, and it is just beautiful when the trees start turning color!

  35. Shaz, those cards are so beautiful, the co-ordinating colours are fabulous. Love those Simon Says Stamps on your desk, but a search on the internet suggest rather high prices and postage on top, and as I rarely use stamps, I'll wait to see what beautiful thing you make with them.
Thanks for visiting my page, we nearly went to Balmoral, drove past one day and decided to go back the next but it was pouring with rain and I gathered that the only room inside was the ballroom and then we would be slogging round gardens in the rain, so we decided against it.

But truly, the two ODBD cards are gorgeous, and I love the new Scripture sets with the verses chosen by our sweet and dear Grace Nywening. And I also love (and now have) this beautiful Prayers stamp set with die. I look forward to seeing what you do with it. And thanks for sharing the beautiful photos of where you live. 38. Your cards look gorgeous. I didn't realize at first that you'd used the same verse on both cards, they looked different at first glance, the effect of different details and colors I guess. Love seeing someone other than me having a creatively messy desk:)
