Hi one and all, time is running away from me so lobbing in with a very quick post for WOYWW and to share a new card in the Faux Vellum technique but as this is WOYWW or What is on your Workdesk Wednesday (pop over to Julia's and join in do!). So here is my desk.. or as was last night, as packed up now!
I made a set of three of these cards, this is using the Faux Vellum technique which I showed step by step on the post below (or here). Used some Victorine stamps (the three silhouette wise men and the sentiment stamp - Wise Men seek Him Still). The the pebbles and the reed grass stamps are two Stampscapes stamps, multiple stamped. I rubbed some Cocoa Memento ink with my finger around the bottom to define it before removing the mask. |
Thats it for today am busy making up some DT cards as want to get the posts for next three months done ahead of the busy Christmas time. Some of the DT cards are also Christmas ones so that is a double bonus!
Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat.. you are really appreciated!

May God richly bless your day wherever you may be!

Those beautiful pencils all laid out like that made me happy this morning! There really is nothing quite so pleasing at looking at all those colours :-). Unless it's looking at photos of your glorious countryside, look at that sea...gorgeous!!

A gorgeous card, I love the technique you've used for this.

Happy WOYWW. So many gorgeous creations. I haven't done any colouring for a while, but planning to print off some Xmas images to colour in whilst watching tv in the evening. Your local scenery looks a lot like Pembrokeshire. Our planet is so beautiful. Ali x #10
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, lovely Christmas cards from you there. I was watching an American lady's video on the tissue technique last night, and she said it was often worth trying any Tissue gift wrap, as some will do the same thing. Glorious scenery, seems strange that it's turning to Autumn here, just as all your spring flowers are appearing! Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #6 xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, busy looking desk, and a beautifully coloured image waiting to be made into a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteYour card is stunning, lovely image and design, Kate x
Lovely card and colouring! I never thought of watercolour pencils as "lazy" but I see your point LOL! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #22
ReplyDeleteBeach pictures look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYour card looks great. Nice technique. The colouring looks really good too.
Happy WOYWW

Looks like a neat technique, you can indeed make a cheap stencil out of dies, but wouldn't call dies cheap. Happy WOYWW, Vicky #9
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Shaz - I do love that technique and have the goodies here to have a go - when I find the time! Lucky you, heading into Spring! Getting much cooler here now, sigh.

Oh, precious Shaz, you were my very first comment, and what a joy you are! It is always a delight to see what is on our desk! You are amazing, and I love how beautiful your pencils are arranged and the lovely coloring of the manger scene. And what a gorgeous card with the three wise men. Ah, that we all would be wise ini seeking Him each and every day. Oh, you certainly do live in a beautiful place, Shaz, and we are blessed as well to live near the ocean and see all the birds and the beach/water. I love when you share photos with us, and I especially love the beach. Hugs, precious friend, and I'm so glad you received your package (finally...you know how "life" gets in our way, right?). More hugs!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I love that faux vellum technique in the last post. You can really see the shimmer too. Happy Wednesday! LisaDV #26
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, Lovely cards. Really like the technique.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the beautiful scenery.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I am drooling... not only over the photos of such a gorgeous beach but those pencils!!!!! love the cards, too. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty, pretty beach. I always amazes me when I think that while we're experiencing fall and our first COLD snap, your part of the world is enjoying springtime and all of it's glory. Hubby and I are planning a trip to the Oregon coast next week so we can get some beach fun in too although it's sure to be cold and windy as it always seems to be this time of year on the coast.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Beautiful card Shaz, love that Faux Vellum technique! Your images are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSpring is indeed looking good at your jetty, how wonderful. I hope it helps with your recovery and overall feel good. As will the colouring, there is nothing so good, especially when the results are like this, lovely lovely cards. I have that str die cut, thanks for the reminder too!
ReplyDeleteI love your coloured images using your water colour pencils. I have just invested in some dearer pencils and the difference is you get what you pay for as I only had a set of 12 cheap ones before and they kept breaking on me. I have not heard of the brand your using. Glad to see you back in blog land. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteYour 'work in progress' looks like they will make wonderful cards and also love you new design of the vellum card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo's, you are certainly blessed to be living where you live.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

I love my Caran D'Arche crayons but think pencils better as they do not break when dropped. Beautiful photos of coast. Have a lovely spring time.

Hi Shaz, lovely colouring. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 19
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz! I'm going to try that technique this weekend. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteLove the beach photo's. Fall is in full swing so no more beach for me.

I am impressed with your Faux Vellum technique! It's given me some ideas. And I just LOVE your scenery photos!!! Oh, your coloring is pretty cool! Hope you have a great week!

Your cards are just lovely - I've never heard of that technique, so it's always nice to see how something new looks in real life. The jetty pictures are beautiful, what I wouldn't give to have the time to get to the beach! Have a great week! Heather #40
ReplyDeleteBeautiful technique!! Love the card you've made!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Shaz! Love the coloring you do! We are heading towards winter here and today was the first really cool day of fall. Right now it is 54°F or 12°C. It is only suppose to be 54° tomorrow all day…brrr...Thanks for visiting my desk earlier and leaving a comment. Have a great week! Vickie #2
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz,
ReplyDeleteYour faux vellum technique is effective. I've not done anything like that at all.
Love the beach pics, as always!

What a lovely ocean scene. Your manger scene is looking good. Can't wait to see the finished card.
ReplyDeleteApril #25
I've used my DI ink pads quite a lot lately for coloring. Shading sure is easier, as you say, when water is involved...
ReplyDeleteLovely design - brings attention to the image. Thank you for joining in the challenge at CHNC Extra for October.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous boy card! Wonderful techniques used to make it. I love seeing all your scenery pictures - especially when winter hits as they are much looked forward to during the snowy season.
