WOYWW + SU Layering Photopolymer Stamps

(Candy results below this post.)
Hi there everyone ...well, do join in with Julia, our Queen of Deskland - over at the Stamping Ground...for  What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday!
Now as I've been very slack in blogging dept., I've a number of cards to share. Don't worry wont do them all at once!
Desk one: playing with a Christmas pressie, disc. item from eBay SU Lotus blossom photopolymer stamp set. One card made and one on the go, with mini misti as it is a layering stamp.
(Edit: in answer to Kathy K. I love my mini misti, you'll be seeing it lots, took me while to get one as not cheap here, then a while to use it as it should be used!).
I did the stamping back the front to instructions as thought it gave better definition, might be just me! I tried both ways though, with same colours.
adding extra colours, to layers... the little dew drops and quite old SU spots are very handy for this sort of stamping.
First card using memento Dew drops rhubarb stalk, Rose red and SU Pixie Pink, both greens were Memento (Bamboo and pear tart?). Didn't do anything to background of this card. Greeting stamps (in Onyx Black Versafine and embossed with iridescent EP) belong to the Lotus Blossom set.

Added various shaded of blended ink to this one on background, to match images, and also SU French script background stamp in London fog
A blue one too! on background again shaded with ink dusters (or cotton-wool balls as used both) various inks similar to flowers. Background stamp is Hero arts Linen and also Thank you background stamp, wiped off so indistinct.
Now to Aussie photos! Took this photo of sister's Cataleya orchid .. not bad is it?? and yes, and maiden hair fern is pretty good too :D
this is especially for Brenda of http://friendscraftinwithfriends.blogspot.com.au/
she loves sunsets .. not as good as her's, but sunset over our place recently.
Truly it shows forth the beauty of the Creator God's handiwork.

May God bless each of you this day in all that you do - and thanks for popping over and saying hi - you do so bless my heart,

  11. I am fascinated by how you achieved such beautiful layering with your MISTI. Love that french script background. The orchid is beautiful. I clicked on the link. They sound easy to grow but I've never been successful with them because of our long winters.

  25. Being a bear of very little brain (and not a paper crafter) I don't understand how you can stamp something back to front! Or am I being particularly dense? Whatever, the resulting card is very beautiful indeed.
I live in Carmarthenshire on the South Wales coast, it's really lovely and a good place to mooch around. There's always a bed here if you want to stop by :-D

  26. Gorgeous cards! I have this SU stamp set also, and I need to get it out and use it! Pretty color combos for the flowers! I also have the mini misti, so this would be a great stamp set to use with that! I played a bit with the set when I first got it awhile back, but that was before I got the misti!

  27. Hello, sweet Shaz! How are you, dear one? It's been far too long since I've paid you a visit...forgive me!

What a joy to see your handmade cards and oh, how lovely they are!

    Thinking of you. Hugs!

  28. Gorgeous cards! It looks like you've got that MISTI all figured out. Hubby was driving somewhere the other day and I was babbling on to him about the MISTI (and how I don't understand its appeal). He nodded along politely. HA!
