Two current desks to see today!!
Well we had a special ceremony yesterday... a pineapple picking one! Here is it a week ago when still not quite ripe!
Ending with two shots from my walk yesterday afternoon, another sunset, if had stayed another half hour would've been even more scarlet, especially with that lovely mackerel cloud as my dad calls them.
On the post below I've and new stamping technique called Retiform.. with some Darkroom Door Ste Sail stamps .. wow, love this technique will be doing it again!
I'm also totally delighted to welcome a new wonderful encourager ..
Maura of Two stamping Sisters - Maura leaves the loveliest comments when she visits as DT for Simon says Monday blog, so very glad she has joined. Thank you!
.... do pop over to give some encouragement too!

Oh, I hope that pineapple tasted as gorgeous as it looked! I visited a pineapple farm in Queensland (owned by a cousin of my friend) and ate so much fresh pineapple, it took a layer of skin off the inside of my mouth!! But it was sooooo good 😊 Your cards are really lovely, especially the 21st! And I'm showing pics of my local beach at sunset on the blog today as well - how funny!

Had to drop by as I saw your name a couple of spots after mine... Been ages, but great to back at Julia's WOYWW. Wonderful projects and photos!
ReplyDeleteClaire xx no. 25
How exciting to eat your own pineapple. Long, long time since I was in a pineapple area and had fresh pineapple. It seems they are an autumn or late summer crop as you are heading into winter.
ReplyDeleteLots of creative beauty
Hugs monica #30
What a great WOYWW TFS xx Jan
ReplyDeleteI'm always in awe of your illuminated work, excited to see how this turns out. Fab photos, love the pineapple, would love to grow one. I always laugh as the only two edible things in the garden are strawberries and rhubarb, both of which hubby hates, he also dislikes pineapple too! Cara x
ReplyDeleteI really like the 21st card. My colors! :-) And you were able to finally pick the pineapple. How did it taste? I think the circle of life is wonderful. Now you'll plant another. Isn't God and His creations wonderful? The sunset He gave to you is another example of the beauty He places all around us if we'll only take the time to notice it. Have a lovely day my sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Hi Shaz, so many lovely cards to look at! Love all your scenics too, and those Pineapples are amazing. Got to get on with my ATC's- the backs are the only bits done so far! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 XxX
ReplyDeleteDesk 1 - lovely cards and I do like the one with the verse from Proverbs on it.
ReplyDeleteDesk 2 - I cannot wait to see this work of art. The gilding sounds wonderful. The card you do show us is very beautiful and those little pearls are the perfect foil for the heart in the centre.
As for the pineapple, I am so envious - how wonderful to grow your own. Thanks for the tip re the leaf, I knew about the smelling and often wonder if people look at me strangely in the supermarket as I sniff them all out. (Pineapples not people)
Thanks too for the views.
May God Bless Your Day too.

What beautiful things on your desk Sharon!!! I am loving your cards-all so equally beautiful! OMGosh, look at your pineapples!!! My mouth is drooling over them for sure. How do you plant a pineapple to get it to grow??? Can you grow one from a store bought pineapple??? I guess you have to have a lot of hot days for a pineapple to grow huh? Man, I wish I could grow one here! lol I have missed a lot I see, had a look around and everything, including cards, pictures, flowers and birds are all so beautiful! You so make me wish I lived in your country! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteA very interesting desk Shaz, looks to be the makings of some super cards. Great heart card, like the pearls on the EF and a really lovely heart.
ReplyDeleteI used to hate pineapple but I have really grown to like it now.

Well you need a second desk to do that careful, patient, nerve wracking calligraphic illumination work, surely. I couldn't possible attempt something so intricate and delicate amongst all the clutter on my everyday desk! Gorgeous card for the twenty-first, the pearls on each cross over the background are such a lovely idea. Congrats on the pineapple!!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that you have been very busy! Wonderful card with that big golden heart, so gorgous! And great photos of your pinapple, hope that its taste will be fab as the smell :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of the sunset on the sea, too!
Gorgeous card that is really lovely card with the heart. Pineapple, lovely, I didn't realise they grew from suckers like strawberries. Have a great crafty week and a happy woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteThat 21st birthday card is adorably pretty and so elegant. I like the message too

What a beautiful card Shaz, and you certainly are one multi-talented lady - guilding, pineapple growing, photography, cards in a 'foreign' language ... there is no end.

ReplyDeleteOh the joy at the thought of picking your own home grown pineapples. Out of the question in the UK. I adore that vellum heart. I haven't used vellum for stamping and colouring for ages, so you have inspired me to experiment again. Thanks. Sarah #17
ReplyDeleteFantastic romanian cards and the the second card is gorgeous Shaz.. Enjoy the beautiful pineapple..Loz

ReplyDeleteHi Shaz. What a wonderful set of photos this evening. My friends have all gone home now, so I'm able to visit a few folks. It's going to take some time! We all had a lovely time together - and ended our time with a beautiful half hour of worship.
ReplyDeleteYour Romanian cards are lovely - as is that gorgeous 21st birthday card. Trust that pineapple tasted as good as it looked, and that you enjoyed your walk down by the harbour.
Take care. God bless.

ReplyDeletePineapple picking - what fun! I just love your embossed heart colored with purples. Stunning! Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteI came for the pineapple picking but got distracted by your cards. How cool--both the pineapple and cards.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card you made!
ReplyDeleteI´m a little bit jealous of your wonderful pineapple! Here in Germany it is way too cold to plant them.
Thank you for joining in with our May challenge over at ARTastic, please read the rules carefully next time!
Evelyn
The gold embossed heart image caught my attention, so detailed and delicately colored. Unfortunately I can't eat pineapples any longer, nor kiwis, but nothing is as good as a sweet pineapple with just a tiny little hint of zest.
ReplyDeleteAlways impressed at all of the work and details you put into your cards! Such a wonderful way to brighten someone's day with God's Word and knowing that someone spent all that time making something just for them. And that pineapple plant is such a neat thing to be able to grow!
ReplyDeleteSuper lovely card! Thanks for creating with us at ARTastic.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Thanks for sharing with us at ARTastic! Anna xo
