Just quickly popping in for another WOYWW for Workdesk Wednesday over at Julia's place. Be warned... photo overload ... catch up on cards made this week.
If you want non Christmas cards ... these Lawn Fawn here are sooo cute!
Desk 1: Alcohol inks on gloss card being attached to die cuts in silver. |
Desk 2 - Brusho backgrounds. Two on watercolour card.. tried the other one on yoghurt packet cardstock. It is full of texture, probably from glue .. worked a treat. I've been trialing water colour techniques on various cardstock, for cereal box cardstock with Tombows see the GD Snippets post here
Desk 3: Back here in 2013 I made these anti static pads, some of them need refilling. I do have an embossing buddy, but much prefer these. NOW - to photo overload. Wont add too much, details at end of items used. |
Yoghurt box background ... is this one.
As you can see there are assorted background: brusho + alcohol ink mainly.
Digis mostly on verses, first card does use Penny Black Star of wonder set. Simple star is disc. Kasiercraft, fancy scroll star is CCD.

Peace die is Memory Box.

Now to the Aussie shots... first one from the courtyard garden.
Spathiphyllum or Peace Lily is really putting out big flowers this year. The orchid which has been flowering for 6 months is still going along happily, inside the plant.
And your beach fix everyone, to be 30c tomorrow, was 28c today, so, yes! summer is here.

ReplyDeleteYou really do make some gorgeous cards - my favourites are the ones with the deep blue backgrounds, they're the ones I'd buy in a shop! Beautiful pics of your area again and I'm not jealous of 30C.....much! :-D There's a storm barrelling in across the Atlantic so I'm glad Julia has got back home safe and sound. We were lucky with the weather, even getting onto the beach for a stroll.

ReplyDeleteBoth your alcohol ink and watercoloured brushos backgrounds are gorgeous, Shaz! Especially love the vibrancy of the card you've entered for CAS Watercolour. ReplyDeleteWOWZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O) xxx
ReplyDeleteWowsers! What an array of simply stunning cards. Loving your experiments with the different paper sources, and the box cardboard really yielded a pretty texture. Love the blue shades you've achieved. Loved all of these, but my favorite will have to be the lovely nativity scene. The brusho background really sets off this pretty die image. Well done! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning collection of holiday cards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Extra challenge

Those backgrounds are so pretty, and all were made into lovely cards. That color combo just looks great with so many shapes and scenes. In the US, we can have a peace lily for a houseplant. I heard they flower forever (practically) and have been considering one if they are okay around cats. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteFabulous set of cards.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing one at Penny Black and more;-))m
Lovely cards indeed and I have one of those stars to grace my home. Thanks so much for your card, as yet I haven't read the letter but it's inside the card. That's for when the work is done....awaiting instructions for two long poems which have to be written and framed for Christmas. Life is busy, beyond busy really and I am telling myself...well, this won't happen next year dv....and it usually does...augh.....there's no hope for me.
ReplyDeleteTake care - we have a VERY cold night in store...we've had a little snow...and the Manchester folks are probably wallowing in it.
What a lovely array of Christmas cards, Shaz! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to the glitter challenge on The House That Stamps Built! I hope you'll join us again sometime. We have a new challenge each Wednesday and a chance to win a $25 gift card once a month!
ReplyDeleteWow, you've been one busy lady! These cards are all so beautiful! The backgrounds are really fabulous and they make a big statement without overwhelming the focal points! Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful batch of cards - in blue and white, my favourite colour combination!! Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour!
