Hi there, Wednesday so that means it’s time for WHAT IS ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY.. or WOYWW over at Julia’s Stamping Ground! So pop over and join in with desks of the world!
I’m working on several cards, surprise! One on right is Christmas card upcycle as it is time for Scrappy Mo’s Rudolph day Christmas Challenge. It started in 25th Feb... However as
February has only 28 days you need to have your entries in by Thurs 28th at midnight, Eastern Canadian time, they’re 15 hours behind us... so we almost get another day. 😊
On left is another card almost complete. I’m doing sorting, technically tidying but I’ve yet to work out if it’s tidying as still a mess, anyway I find this gorgeous pile of ink resist creations made ages ago, prob years now. I’ve a friend in need of snail mail cheering up hence making quick card with things already three quarters done. I’ve also hunted up a piece of green Brusho card to match that missing piece on my B on happy birthday card below. It looks like the real piece, a perfect match. Love Brushos.
To my cards, the Christmas card.
It is upcycle with last year’s card, I’ve several more on go as changed this design several items so will prob make one or two more am behind already on my Christmas cards. SB fancy large ovals used and a digi verse.

Next card is the sending hugs and prayers, stamp set is by Hero Arts and the large stamp dandelion background is also Hero Arts.
The ink resist was done with white EP and Distress inks.

Last is the one I almost finished last week when I was away, but had a missing piece, which is now rectified and complete. It’s using MB stars stencil and Quietfire Elizabeth Craft Designs happy birthday with Brushos of course! See last week’s desk for colours.
Well now for our Aussie shots. We’re having a mixture of rain and sun at the moment which is quite different for us, we do need the rain. Very thankful for it, we’ve had big seas and some sea erosion too.
This is the same wave tossed surf that was tranquil in comparison the previous day when we went for a swim. This is southern end of beach. The foam whipped up in photo below is from northern end.

Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat may God bless your day wherever you maybe.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
A thought for today:
Be still.. and know that I am God is something I need at the moment. Sometimes things flow smoothly. But more often they do not.
Then we must wait on our Lord to Work..
Wait = be still.

Great idea to re-cycle Shaz and makes me realize that your Spring is so very different to ours, thanks so much for joining us across the world at Allsorts Spring challenge. Thanks also for sharing the photos, I will tell Eliot when I next speak to him, he called last evening, he and Veronique had just returned from a weekend on the Isle of Weight, he surfed in some unusually warm weather for this time of year in the UK, and we even had afternoon tea in the garden on Sunday (Granddaughter Azaria took it into her head that we needed scones and cream) which is unheard of in February (weather not the scones!).

Hi Shaz,
ReplyDeleteoh my word your cards are so gorgeous.
Love your super backgrounds you created.
Beautiful image on the first also.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L. DT
Such wonderful cards, thank you so much for sharing at Allsorts challenge!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning cards as always my dear Shaz. Love the sea photos as well. It was -1F this morning here. It’s hard to believe people are swimming somewhere in the world! Thank you for the link to the blog with the twiddle mitts. I popped over and took a look. She has some beautiful projects. The woman who coordinates donations and volunteers at the Veterans Home called me yesterday. Although I had planned to make twiddle mitts, she asked if I could make twiddle blankets instead. She said it’s easier to lay them across their laps and they don’t drop them as easily. I had never thought of that. Wishing you a most wonderful day my sweet sister.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy

You make me smile! You must be the only crafter who works out international time zones to see if you have more time to complete a challenge, lol!! The upcycled cards are beautiful, really bright and cheerful.

Hi Shaz, love the cards. I have that Birthday die, so useful, I find. Love the resist pieces. Not had much rain here, which is most unusual for the UK. In fact, so little rain I've actually had to water my planters. Unheard of in winter.Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
ReplyDeleteGreat, great cards! So blessed that you joined our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday and would like to invite you again to link with us at the new challenge that started today. Leaving you with God's Word in 1 John 2:15-17 which says, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." Have a blessed and wonderful week.

What a beautiful quote you ended with - thank you, I too needed that.
ReplyDeleteLove your Brusho cards, it is about time i got mine out again and started using them - they are so versatile and, as you show, you get some great results. Mind you I think you are the Queen of Brushos.
Thanks for the Aussie pictures, the foam one reminds me of somewhere I once went when the sea was like that - maybe not as much as yours but similar.
Take care my friend.
God Bless

ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, Loving your cards. I try and reuse cards.
ReplyDeleteT^hanks for sharing your photos. Does look rather windy. We are just going in to a wet and colder spell, after several sunny days, with temps above normal for this time of year.

Lovely cards Shaz. That surf foam looks like meringue! We had beautifully warm weather yesterday and had picnic lunch in garden - today it's raining and much cooler but then it is only February!! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards and beautiful photos of a beautiful place. Glad im not the only one that works on several projects at a time and in the middle seems the desk is buried:-) I love your inky backgrounds. Emmax
ReplyDeleteIt always feels good to get one more Christmas card made ahead of time doesn't it :)Love that dandelion border with all that color in the center. The gold inlay on the last with the sparkle stars is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWow you had some rough waters, so dramatic! Glad you are getting the rain you need.
What a great selection of Xmas cards and thanks for joining us at the February Rudolph Days Challenge, Luv Sam x
ReplyDeleteI’m late, sorry! So impressed that you’re already doing the Christmas cards, oh boy. And that you’re sorting or tidying., it would be the same question here too, but I certainly won’t be uncovering some fab backgrounds like that. I have one pot of Brusho and it’s scarlet. I am careful with it...it looks like blood and bandages if I get too carried away! I have that HB die from Quietfre, it’s one of my all time, top ten, save-from-the-fire dies. (I like it!)
ReplyDeleteWow! Cards are amazing! Dorlene #25
ReplyDeleteHello, Shaz! Your cards are all so gorgeous! How wonderful to find those ink-resist backgrounds while tidying up! You did a beautiful job upcycling the Christmas card too! Thanks for sharing your photos! I really enjoyed looking at your scenic views! We've just been dumped on with snow and more to come tonight! We're still in the midst of winter - I am eagerly looking forward to spring! Wishing you a wonderful day!
