Well, yes, it’s that time of week everyone!! It’s WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday... please head over to Julia’s HERE for desks of the world! Several desks will skip today’s, too many pickies.
This was earlier in the week, making another background for one more of watercolour cards, images I did back here!

Love this EF Tim Holtz bricks folder a freebie years ago. Double embossed it ..easy in my new machine, clear plates etc, then inked up Kraft card with DI Wild Honey and spritzed it then dried it, gives great look.
This card below was trying a brand new technique I thought of.. ie idea in my head. Worked ok but learnt some not to do things.
Scrap of watercolour card (back of yoghurt box) stamped Iris twice (masked, brand is Artneko) in Black Versafine ink + clear EP. Used Tombows watercolour markers but should've used waterproof Promarkers. Next masked off flowers but not leaves, think they needed it, too. Then added brushos, black and yellow! Spritz and was amazed at colour. I had to re-colour irises because lost watercolours first time around. Also lost some of definition on leaves because didn’t mask them. Did extra Iris stamping in navy Adirondack in background.

Mailed card 10 days ago, hopefully almost in Lincoln by now, for a very dear 86 year old Iris (on 27th), hence the Iris stamp. EF is Embossalicious Regency Swirls, SB dies, greeting a digi.

Well, that’s me for day - a health update: (as when I don’t update, I'm asked anyway! I don’t say, ‘cos I’m sick of saying I’m not great. Actually I mind that more than being not great!😁) It’s eight weeks today since my right shin SCC Cancer excision. Because it opened again, it’s been very slow, I expect probably another at least 3 weeks or so. I’ve been on Cortisone for over 50 years, affects skin (causes the skin cancers, I hated sunbaking when young), also affects bones, teeth etc. Left calf SCC is healing okay, but also slow.
Today Wednesday at 2:20pm, 5.20am in UK, removal of lower right molar which had root canal, but broken off too low. Mercifully came out easily not like another. Such answered prayer.
God bless your day everyone, Not be too bright but shall do my very best to comment!

Thought for today: this was said by the LORD Jesus to His disciples when they were puzzled by He did. I find comfort in this when things happen that are perplexing.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.”

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, that card for Iris is so beautiful. And the little sheep and WWYWW gifts are lovely too, although I don't know anything about them. :-(
ReplyDeleteBut, I want to let you know again that I'm lifting you before the Lord each and everyday my dear sister. You have had such struggles with your health and with healing of your legs. Now a tooth extraction too! You are such a blessing and encouragement to me Shaz. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and give you rest.
Love and Blessings always,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteGlad you atc's and other goodies arrived, brings you closer to us again this year dear Shaz. My little sheepy picture from Maxine is staring at me right now as I write this. Such talents.
Equally so your talent - love the idea that you came up with a technique yourself. You always do some beautiful work Shaz.
I pray that your healing happens quickly so that you can get out and about in your beautiful area that God has so painstakingly painted for your enjoyment.
God Bless, Neet 7 xx
Hi Shaz, so pleased that all your goodies from the Crop arrived safely. Beautiful Iris card you have made for Iris. Thank you for sharing your step by step, it does help when I'm trying to work out how to do things, or what to use. I hope you heal well from the tooth extraction, and that your calf does heal. Three weeks seems a long time! Great shots of the Lorikeets - so very colourful and cheery! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #11
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, good that you are healing, but it does wear you out when it takes so long! Good news on the dentistry too, at least. Love the cards, and very interesting how you made the Iris card. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #14 X

Great photos on your post today. I love seeing all your goodies. Have a great week. Dorlene #26
ReplyDeleteGorgeous artwork and I am so glad that the goodies have safely arrived from the crop. Loving little monkey wearing his badge with pride. Sorry to hear that the healing is taking a while, and am praying that you will be completely healed very soon. Happy WOYWW. With Love & God Bless, Caro x (#10)
ReplyDeleteOh well done dear Shaz....giving up a broken tooth without too much aggro, I hope you are pain free very fast, although it feels like a manhole for a while, doesn’t it. We’re just back from a week in Spain where Mr Dunnit’s Mum was charmed by the Lorikeets shouting at each other from tree to tree. They are such colourful noisy birds, you can’t help but smile at them. I ,love your Iris card, how clever an idea that is. I don’t have any brushos and am determined not to start another collection of coloured stuff, but oh my, they do look lovely in your hands.
ReplyDeleteFab creations! A lovely array of ATCs, too, and great photos!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Hi Shaz. Loving your cards. Great collection of ATCs too. Wishing you a happy woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeletei am sure Iris is going to love her beautiful card done in her honor, sounds like it was a learning card but you turned it into a masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful cards and gifts, how wonderful!
Sorry the healing has been long going, I certainly understand how that can get you down, I sure hope that healing will come along quickly and you can actually say you are doing great!
Hi Shaz. i Love the brick background on your card. Beautiful collection of ATCs and frames...Gorgeous monkeys..loz
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, so sorry that you're not so good at the moment. Hope everything heals up well soon. After my recent tooth removal, upper root filling, I feel for you. Your cards are lovely. I like the watercolour background on the first and the iris on the other are beautiful. You don't appear to have my ATC - I don't know how that happened! I'll pop one in the post for you. Love the Australian photos - those birds are so colourful. Hugs, Elizabeth x #24
ReplyDeleteI hope you are healing well now and that tooth gap is settling down. Your little display of ATCs is so cheery - you were much thought about and spoken of at the crop. Your reflection photo is stunning - what a wonderful world we live in! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteYour watercolour piece is dreamy and serene, Shaz ... just like the photo of your beach in the side bar! Such a pretty Iris card ... the background texture is delicious ... and the stamped/coloured/brusho'd panel positively glows! Lovely art work you received (that sheep is especially adorable!) ... and fabulous photo's! Hope the difficulties with your health ease soon. Thanks so much for coming by and leaving me some sweet words! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Shaz, and I love the outcome of your brushos over masked images!! Your box of goodies from Camp is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are slowly healing - thankfully I healed well - one lesion was pre-cancerous for SSC, so glad I had it off. Another biopsy I had came back BCC, but they did not get it all, so there's more work needed there. The joys of ageing.
Prayers and blessings
Maxine
All the creations are so awesome. Thanks for playing along with us at Make My Monday Challenge. Looking forward to seeing your creative projects in the future galleries again.
ReplyDeleteLovely Iris card, mistakes are certainly ways of learning! But the card turned out beautifully, and now you are armed with more information on how things work on the back of yoghurt boxes! Good upcycle though! I'm starting to use more things like that in my journals.Lovely collection of goodies, and beautiful photos. I wish we had such colorful birds here! Glad the tooth came out easily, I have vowed never to have a root canal again. I'd rather lose the tooth. Sorry I'm so late this week! Thank you for your earlier visit, Lindart #25
ReplyDeleteLove that serene seaside scene, and enjoyed all of your cards and photos, too! Thanks for playing with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
