Hi dear ones, well it’s a bit of a sad post ๐ข today for those of us in blogland and WOYWW - What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday (Deskland over at Queen Julia’s blog here). I was introduced to WOYWW by a few bloggers back in 2010, when I started blogging, and one of my first followers, was ShazSilverwolf ... thanks to Maggie Silvercrafter and WOYWW. To my desk.. and Shaz and her handicrafts are the desk stars ⭐️
So grateful to have met Shaz in 2018 at Margaret’s Llandudno crop. This large photo triptych was made by Shaz for me to remember that day, it arrived chez Margaret the day before I left for Florida (it's described in Shaz's last post for 2018, here, as her favourite make in 2018, so honoured). Normally, it’s between kitchen - dining room, however now it needs to be promoted to my craft room..
Large photo in centre of tryptich. The very last card from dear Shaz is the Christmas card at the back left and it rather touched me as knew Shaz was so unwell. The rest are various ATCs by Shaz and my total favourite (it’s out on my shelves all the time) is the purple and silver WOYWW 10. (My craft room is purple ๐๐). I think the saying on that ATC epitomises Shaz .. “With love from the heart”... “Friends - the essence of Life.” Now some joys of the wonderful day at Llandudno. I never published any photos at the time as was still month before I was home. It was my last trip, my darling dad (story here) had just passed before I left, and it truly was such a time of miracles. At the time I described that day as “a-pinch-me-is-it-real?” kind of day. Starting with the food table spread by Margaret, Chris and other helpers hands, centre at tables is dear Shaz.
Shaz brought a gift bag to the crop bursting with crafty goodies (these penguin cards back - see here is a set of her Stamps from that day). So Shaz’s liberal bounty often pops to mind as sort through crafty stash.
One more card to share from the Joseph’s coat of many colours series (I’ve not made any in past week, too unwell).
When I met Shaz in blogland we had an instant affinity, firstly sharing a name, but a love of craft also. This is her first comment on my blog about Stampscapes which we both loved.

Hi Shaz, from Shaz! :) Thank you so much for your lovely comments, and for the link over to my blog, that is so nice. I really like your Stampscapes, and the Purple Twilight/ Mountain Rose/ Peach Bellini blend is one I have to try- its gorgeous. I love my Stampscapes, and I agree with you, they make such perfect male cards, and I also love them for Sympathy cards, and for those people whom 'cute' or floral wouldn't suit.
My Brother & his Wife emigrated to Perth in December 2009, and I know they are saddened by the difficulties being experienced by those in the north.
Thanks for visiting me, I will be back soon.
You can hear Shaz cheerily talking in that comment, and also again on her extraordinary blog, where she willingly shared her skill, wisdom and understanding crafty-wise.
Thank you Shaz for your kind and caring ways, your funny, generous and genuine heart. You'll be deeply missed in blogland, for all who came by, it was a favourite stopping post.. and you always left us with a laugh and a smile with your “And Finallys...”.
And now to two Aussie photos...
Thank you for taking the time to pop over and especially if you’ve time to comment, you are so appreciated. Lord bless you too and keep you safe, and those you love,
Giant prayer hugs, ๐๐ค Shaz in Oz.x

Thought for the day:
As I thought upon Shaz this verse came to mind, from Proverbs 10:22 “the blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.”
Knowing Shaz, we all who’ve been touched by her life, are rich and so blessed indeed by that knowledge of her, and will keep her memory close in ♥️heart๐.
In our sorrow at her passing, comfort may indeed be found in God alone. Our God knows what it is to suffer loss... the shortest verse in the bible is “Jesus wept” John 11:35.
We live in broken, hurting world, so now there is sorrow, pain, grief, loss, this brokeness is not at all of God’s original, perfect plan.
One glorious day “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain, for the former things shall be passed away..(Revelation 21:4)..
One glorious day yet to come, in Jesus...
What a wonderful tribute to Shaz - there have been so many - Shaz truly touched us all! take care and stay safe. Helen #2

ReplyDeleteA lovely tribute to Shaz - what I love about all these memories on the desks this morning is that they all share different aspects of our friend, it’s also really great to see someone else’s pics of a crop day! Doug will love that card, so bright and in your face, Shaz was so not a pastels person! I hope that you are feeling better now after being unwell.

Morning Shaz. That's beautiful. I am so glad you were able to "stop over" in Wales and meet so many good friends - it was a bit of a week, wasn't it?!!!I don't quite know how we managed to fit so much in... but we did.

Such a lovely post and also nice to see the photos of the crop. Yes we do have a few similar ATC's from Shaz. While I was looking
ReplyDeletethrough my ATC folder I came across a few other crafter's who've passed away. Looking forward to a catch up and I will send an email tomorrow.

I remember quite vividly how you two hit it off at the Crop in Wales. Looking back on things it is nice that we all have such wonderful memories of a real lady.
ReplyDeleteI too had made a card for Shaz but by some strange happening it did not get posted when it should have - and I am glad it didn't as i would have hated Doug to walk in on that after returning from the hospital.
Your card, however, will be loved by him, and treasured for all time.
God Bless you my little friend
Love, Neet 17 xx

What a beautiful tribute to the other "Shaz" Sharon. I didn't know her or her blog, but she certainly sounds like she was a lovely person with a generous spirit. I'm so happy you have all those precious memories of her as well as the physical memories in the cards, atc's and that large photo triptych made by her. I loved reading about Shaz and enjoyed learning about her as well. Thank you for sharing. Loved the Aussie photos too, please feel better soon. Sending my love, prayers and blessings. Brenda
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry I’m so late visiting this week. I’ve been head down making Memory bears this morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tribute to our dear friend. She really was a special lady and will be missed but I have a feeling she will live on in the hearts of so many.

Shaz, this is such a beautiful post!!! You shared so much and mostly your heart. I am sure everyone who has read can "feel" your thoughts through your words! I am so envious of you all who get to see one another at the crops (when it's not a pandemic) but so, so happy for those of you who got to spend time with her during those crops of fun and creativity!! Your pictures tell the story!! So, so lovely! I love that you have all that goodness from Shaz to display and look on fondly as you remember your friend! She just oozes out of them, doesn't she? That lily is gorgeous and looks like it is perched there in her memory. I have copied the photo and want to draw and paint....I hope you don't mind? And what a beautiful walking scene as well! It will be summer here in no time, so until then, I am enjoying our cool weather! Blessings to you Shaz and thank you so much for sharing your heart! Felicia #34
