Love your card and the matching papers. Yes I heard on the news and its very sad, why would people go near it when they can see how rough it is

I just love how the blue & orange goes together so well on your card & great image also . Happy woyww Jill #16
ReplyDeleteThe card will be fab - I think I have that purple ink pad somewhere and seem to remember it's gorgeous.. lol! Great photo, shame that people don't always realise how dangerous the water is sometimes. Helen 6
ReplyDeleteI love your card, and the image you have colored. #7
ReplyDeleteYep we've all been there start something and then have to go back and finish it later. I have a few things like that just plain stuck on them lol
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW hugs Nikki #2
Covering chairs is not my idea of fun. Have tried it and failed! But then sewing is not my idea of fun either. As for the dress form it is going to be an artwork in an instillation I am doing for a steampunk coffee shop. If they don't like it then it will become a dumping ground for my clothes!

ReplyDeleteWell done for planning to recover the chair, looking forward to a pic of the finished project. Lovely card as always:) Thanks for your thoughts on selling craft.

What a beautiful card, Shaz! I haven't done much with vellum but you've made a simply splendid job of it and I love the music theme. I've got a red swivel chair like that which I now use in the office rather than in the ARTHaven as it's not very comfy for me to sit on (hence my office work always being neglected lol lol!!!) Your photo of the sea is beautiful... So tragic about the lives lost. Beneath its beauty we always need to remember that the sea is an untamed beast and we should respect it. We have a river near us which is one of the most beautiful in England but I've heard that it claims at least one life a year, as the currents are treacherous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and your nice comment - unfortunately I don't think I can finish the card before the post goes today, so I'll send an e-card to the recipient and tell her the real one is on its way!
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi #34
There's a lot of purple on your post today, love the music card...well, I would, huh??!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pic but yes, people do underestimate the sea sadly...
Hugs, LLJ 12 xx
Your card is lovely.. So sad that they do not realise how dangerous the waters can be.. You captured the beach and waves so lovely in your picture..

Hi Shaz, lovely cards this week, and you are going to have fun covering the chair - you could make it like a shower cap with velcro to hold it in place. Sad about the sea tragedies. Thanks for the glycerin advise I'll check it out. I figure the mini DIs would be ok to give me a wider range of colours. Thanks for visiting, Happy WOYWW and have a great week RobynO#22
ReplyDeleteAm with you on the Versafines, a really good ink. That is a very pretty card for Sarah (look away Nat) and im in awe of your setting aside the bugaboo stuff..I would have rushed it and probably hated it!
ReplyDeleteI love your card and wish you all the best with covering your chair...it will look fab when it's done.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

I LOVE your card, and I LOVE even more that you stopped by to share it in our challenge. Thanks SO much for the love and support you've been showing to our blog for SO long. I also want you to know that I've added your dear Dad to my prayer list, and I've been praying regularly for his salvation. God is faithful! Thanks again, and God bless you friend.

Gorgeous card girl! Love the fabric you have for your chair as well. The photo of the sea is just beautiful. I love being by the water but would not enjoy being out in it. I'm not a strong swimmer and therefore very careful about being in the ocean!
ReplyDeleteGlenda #49
LOVE that material for recovering the chair - it will look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular HB card, tempting me to look into 'Silhouette' cutting machine .... only tempting as I 'live' in a 6ft square room!!!

Love your carpet - the chair will look great when you have re-upholstered it I am sure!! Great cards on your desk and I love the view of the sea - but always have a healthy respect for it myself. Happy WOYWW Cindy #38
ReplyDeleteLove your sea view Shaz, it must be lovely to watch it and see how it changes.
ReplyDeleteThat chair is going to be just great - I hope we can see it when finished.
As for the card, what a clever way to do your lettering - love the different colours.

Love the card Shaz and it makes me happy to see that you need a clock on your desk too LOL!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and thanks for stopping by at mine, Angela x # 44
What a lovely card, and the picture of the sea is stunning. We love seascapes.
ReplyDeleteThe house of bears @no. 56
Evening Shaz,
ReplyDeleteI love that card, I remembered seeing something about stamping on vellum and now I know where. Beautiful card from Aus as usual.
And I love the sea, super picture, just love God's ower in a heavy sea.

Good morning Shaz. Another beautiful card today. What a great find with the chair and it will be perfect once you recover it. Although your picture is indeed amazing, showing just a fraction of the power of God in those waves, it's very sad to hear of the tragedies that take place there. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your home with us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Hi Shaz, I so agree about faffing with things, especially die cuts that won't! Not so much having patience with it, as being determined not to have spent good money on something I can't use, lol. Spell binders are NOT cheap! Beautiful pic of the sea, it is terrible when people lose their life in this sort of thing, but people do have a habit of having no respect for the sea. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #22 xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Lovely scenery. Sad that people do not heed warnings about how dangerous water can be. Even on the beaches of Florida, people ignore the fact that undertow is strong and dangerous. Lives are lost because of carelessness. TYFS
ReplyDeleteHello Shaz. Lovely coloured card coming on there. Glorious card with all that gold and music. Fantastic sea! I just LOVE huge seas - the power, the beauty of them is stunning. I could sit for hours just watching as enormous waves crash in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. Yes, indeed. What an amazing gift!
Take care. God bless you, my friend.

I certainly don't remember from week to week what crafter's desks look like! I don't even remember what my desk looks like! LOL! Love the colors in the card, very well coordinated! Love your ocean view. So sad how people can't recognize danger. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteCarol N #57
good luck with the re-cover of your swivel chair. A beautiful 18 card!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card. Love that red chair - red is my favorite color - worn edges or not.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier.

Happy WOYWW, Shaz! That chair look veyr comfy and when you're done with the cover it will be good as new and so color coordinated!
ReplyDeleteI love those fancy corners in your card!
The sea does look rough! How sad that visitors don't realize just how strong the waves can get.
Hugs,
peggy aplSEEDS@19
LOVE your card Shaz! Really pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd gosh your chair will go beautifully with your craftroom once covered. Lovely and cheerful material!
Hugs, Di xx
Hi Shaz,
ReplyDeleteI've heard that those seats in the swivel chairs pop right out. The fabric you are going to use will be perfect for the space.
The card in the first photo of your desk is adorable. I need to get some kid-oriented stamps.
Always love to see the photos you take of the ocean - would love to feel the sand between my toes.
Happy belated WOYWW
Peace, Kay (65)
Beautiful card and I love the photo taken of the sea.
ReplyDeleteHugs Mrs A.
Hi Sharon, Thanks for your recent visit. We've both been MIA for a bit, and I'm hoping it was just cause you were busy, and not feeling poorly. Loved your vellum card. Especially liked those gold corners trimming it up so spritely & glimmering. That MB die sentiment is luscious too, and somebody is going to just love this pretty thing. TFS the beach scene, and yes, it is sad when people don't realize the dangers of water & riptides. Beautiful to look at, but one must exercise caution too. Very impressive waves. Hugs & Happy wkend - which is pretty close!
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, late as ever but so nice to read your post however late I am. The chair looks comfy and will look fab with that fabric covering it.
ReplyDeleteThe card is beautiful - the music not background is lovely.
Stunning photo of the sea - such a shame that there are tragic stories associated with such beauty.
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs, Elizabeth x #63
