It will make her smile, as she loves purple and butterflies.
And as it is Friday is time for Annie's smiles!
This Bromeliad makes me smile every time I see it. The flower is so much more beautiful in real life - very hard to get a good photo of it they all seemed fuzzy. |
These two shots were taken when a friend was here two weeks ago now .. had great fun swimming here! and went for swim today too, but not here - at our creek five mins down the road.
Isn't God's creation enough to bring the biggest smile to your face with thankfulness for it?? |
I will comment as able - a busy day today :D
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be!

Such an elegant card! I adore this! I love the quatrefoil die superb! I think the royal purple and simple elegance of your card does this beautiful proverb real justice. Superb! Bromeliads are amazing plants, their flowers are great. Your cordyline is lovely, my hubby does exactly as you do, he will cut something that looks dead back and suddenly new life begins again. There has to be a scriptural analogy in there somewhere....! TFS! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, I did smile because you're doing smiles on Friday and I'm the other side of the world just about to dish up Thursday's dinner!
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely and do you know I think I have that die hidden away and only used once before. A pretty photo of your bromeliad. We used to have one of those but it lived in the greenhouse!
How wonderful to go swimming just down the road. We live in the middle of the country as far from the sea as we could be and it's too cold to to even think about swimming just now anyway. Have a wonderful week. Barbxx
Wonderful card Shaz, love how you pieced the dp into the die. Makes a gorgeous background for the sentiment. Love your pics too. Looks like you're enjoying the lovely summer weather we've had, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Shas. I must remember to put some pretty scenic DP behind my die when I finally remember to use it! lol
ReplyDeleteYours looks so beautiful.
Love your local photos...always so nice to see the scens of where our blogger friends live.
Beautiful card. I love purple. I am so glad to find a blog that praises God. It was fun reading about your work
ReplyDeleteLovely card! Thanks for sharing the pictures of the plants and weather!
ReplyDeletePurple! My favorite color and one of my very favorite verses. This is a lovely card Shaz. And of course I love the beach scenes. I'm a beach girl at heart.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Your card is stunning Sharon!! But it is the sentiment that I love most. That flower is gorgeous and I love that plant. You are so making me long for summer! lol That beach area looks fabulous , even I want to go swim there!! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous card Shaz - love the purple and the way you have used the lattice. The Cordyline is stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove your beach and river scenes. We have been hot here too - 28 oC today with high humidity - that for us is high!!
Blessings
Maxine
I love your card Shaz but did chuckle at you making it like a jigsaw. You live in a beautiful part of our world...thanks for sharing your pics.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
Hi Shaz, Thank you for the very kind comments that you've left on my blog and I'm very happy to say that I've just become your latest follower:) Your cards are wonderful and the photographs of sea and sand are just what we need here and we have lots of wind and rain at the moment:( Have a lovely weekend. x
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Shaz, your card is just beautiful - I agree it does look like a garden scene through a lattice window. I'm showing off my broms too today, a lovely surprise to find quite a few peeping up from the cups early in the week and now they're up displaying their vivid colours. Wish my Cordylines looked healthy like yours. Have a wonderful weekend Robyn
ReplyDeleteIve just turned the page on my perpetual calendar and it says
ReplyDelete"Today serve the Lord by serving others. There are many who need the assistance that only you can offer"
Underneath it in 2013 I wrote " I have done, I did the VAT Return. Philip can't do that haha" (thats my hubby)
So I've made myself smile this morning.
Have a great weekend
Lynn x
That is one beautiful card! I like the stamps with the verses. And this verse is so encouraging. Well done.
ReplyDeleteYour plants look lovely. I have seen a Bromeliad flower in real life (In Europe they are houseplants) and they are indeed stunning.
Swimming in the lake looks fun and refreshing. You live in a lovely area.
Thank you for visiting, have a great week,
Blessings,
Lisca
Gorgeous card. I am sure you had a lot of "fun" piecing it together. :) Your lovely pictures make me wish for warmer weather to hurry up. Enjoyed the post. Have a great day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and verse!
ReplyDeleteYour friend will love this beauty, that paper is just lovely, I do love the lattice look also, and the sweet butterflies flying around, along with the very encouraging verse!
ReplyDeleteOh your pictures look so inviting, warmth and sunshine!! Enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful card, Shaz. It really does look like a view of a garden through a screen. As we are going through the most awful stormy weather - Storm Gertrude has just passed but Storm Henry is on his way and should hit our shores tomorrow so we have a brief respite today - your Aussie photos cheer me up no end :) Hope you are keeping well ... sounds like it with all that swimming. Take care, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteA wonderfully inspiring verse put in a very pretty design. I bet those tiny bits of the die were so fiddly to inlay, but what a look you've achieved. I like the dark purple with the dp too. Enjoyed your lovely surroundings - we had bromeliads similar where we lived in South Florida, but have no clue as to if it's the same variety. Colors are always such a surprise when the rather ugly fronds burst forth with the flame colored flower. TFS & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Bit jealous of the weather though, it's rained all day here, still you have to have rain sometimes Lol! Take care and thanks for the visit to mine, Angela x
ReplyDeleteFiddly work, but so well worth your efforts. And doesn't it feel well not let I g anything go to waste!
ReplyDeleteWe got rid of all the snow just before the weekend. And what do I wake up to today? Snow! So started my week with the first thought being 'oh no'. Well, it can only get better from that starting point, lol. But so envy you the weather and access to swim areas.
What a beautiful card Shaz, especially in my favourite colour...purple!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the bromeliad in situ, unlike our little teeny ones in a pot that don't last long.
Hugs
xx
The trellis fretwork looks so diferent in the negative and positive. I like them both. Love the butterflies on the white version. hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteOh, Shaz, I know what you mean about all the pieces and feeling like it was a jigsaw puzzle! But you've finished a beautiful card with the rich purple, and I so love this special verse! Yes, with God ALL things are possible. Praise God! I'm so sorry to have read about your dear friend going to be with the LORD because you will miss her. Praise God she is now with Him forever. What comfort and peace we have with that knowledge. I love your bromeliads that we have here in South Florida, and they are beautiful. And what a beautiful place to swim, and I'm sure you loved it with all the heat! Yes, a merry heart is good like a medicine. Sending hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the outcome of your fussy die arrangement- this is such an amazing look! The sentiment you added- makes for one gorgeous card. Wonderful that you share your flower- so pretty. Also, love the pic of your creek- you are so lucky to live so close to a beautiful place like this!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant designed creation...fabulous colours and die. Thanks Shaz also for your congrats.x.xx
