Hi there one and all.
Mm, where did January go? Can’t believe it is the last day!!! And it is also Wednesday... so, time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday ... Pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground! Check out desks all over the world! Warning though, it’s addictive!
To my desk, or actually desk at my sister's home of last week! why I wasn't here in blogland.

Enjoying the beach, and we were colouring too with my sister’s Prismas... the crystal clear water was superb and so time was enjoyed, just chilling. No we haven’t finished yet, but I'm going to make mine up into cards...
Today's desk now has lots of cards, just finished the last of the ten cards I was making as a wedding gift. No, not made wedding card yet, need an engagement card too for another couple. Not due til third week in Feb.
I’ve had been trying out some new techniques which I’d saved in my “Must Try This!” page on Pinterest. Mine, however invariably dont look like a CASE, at all.
This one I will keep for me, its with different butterfly a magasine freebie, one below has Kaisercraftt butterfly, script stamp is SU French Script. Stamplorations set for greetings.
Didn't have right stamps or Distress Inks colours, however I was told bride likes blues, soft green and neutral shades so used those.
Loll's smooshing (see here) is nothing like mine. I couldn't get same intensity.

Wondered if she used DI re-inkers?
Mine just "mooshed" not smooshed, very non-descript, not a true smoosh!!
Very happy with these two, will keep top one, they were cased from Laurie's blog (see here) Again, not like but okay.. Used fern from discontinued set by Elusive images (pre-Chocolate Baroque). Used colours on Laurie's previous post but DI. Put down layer sponged layer of Antique Linen for background for ease of blending colours. Added Broken China and Cracked Pistachio in areas then blended with Antique Line again.
Thought
I’d share this, about a die storage book, found on eBay, to hold the
CCD or cheap China dies. Mine came quite quickly, in twelve days. (Link here to book, you can chose what size in pages you want, I went for three so some are large some are small sleeves for die.
Now to my Aussie shots..
Yes, it was simply lovely going to swim at this spot, and not there weren’t lots of people there! Very very spoilt...
Very blessed of God to live in such a beautiful part of His creation. Very grateful!
Took few bird photos too. NOTE: all from inside house, so maximum zoom through windows. This is large dead tree in front centre. Two crested pigeons sitting in it.

These are two Masked Lapwing or hooded plovers, they seemed to be on guard over the two new native banksia planted that morning by local dune patrol (family member + neighbour :D) |
These are two Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos, in same dead tree. This is why is important to keep a dead tree roosting spot for all varieties. |
I am very sorry, rather time poor at moment and trying to catch up on commenting.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek, especially if you stay for a chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty cards and what an inspiring place to craft! Where I live, the woodpeckers like the dead trees to build their nests in.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love those pretty butterflies!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pics too!
Thank you very much for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!
hugs...

Hi Shaz- Elusive Images, my that takes me back! I have stamps from when it was that, then Glenda changed it to Graphicus, then Chocolate Baroque. Gorgeous selection of cards, and I think it's great to use cards for inspiration, but put your own twist on them. Love how muted your colours turned out, I think you may be right about reinkers, they do seem to dry more vibrant. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful - especially the ferns one, the colours are soft and elegant. Love that one! It's nice to see some blue skies and I could feel the warmth coming out of your photos!
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 11 xx
Amazing cards and colouring! Those cards with Elusive ferns are my favourite too, fab inking and design!
ReplyDeleteAm I envious of that wonderful view Shaz, well of course I am, here in the UK it's cold, wet and miserable. But on a serious note so happy for you that you can craft in such a delightful location and wonderful cards at that inspired by such Natural beauty. Many thanks for sharing with us at Penny Black and More challenges.

ReplyDeleteA great creation here Shaz and what a view you have there! I have a white cockatoo here at home called Daisy so to see those black ones was quite amazing! Thank you for sharing your lovely card with us here at Penny Black and More this month xxx
ReplyDeleteShaz, "mooshed" or "smooshed" your cards are simply lovely! You do such an amazing job on your card crafting! Just love them! And as the one says...BRAVO!!! LOL I always love seeing your beach shots! I don't go much to the beach, but I do love seeing it's beauty! And thank you for sharing that Psalm! It's definitely a favorite! Blessings to you! Felicia, #29
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I so envy the view from your window! My cousin in Australia shared some footage of her walk along a beach today. So much nicer than the cold weather here in the UK! I have a few crafty things I'd like to try this year - Brusho's first! Karen#36 xx
ReplyDeleteYou make the most beautiful cards and today you have given us all a treat. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the views too, it must help to create when you live somewhere like that - it looks so peaceful and you can thank the Lord for all the beauty that surrounds and inspires you.

ps I am going to begin to learn calligraphy via a book when I get home next week. xx
That is a stack of absolutely beautiful cards my friend and I know the new couple is going to love them. I am so very jealous of the view you had out of the window while coloring. So stunningly pretty. We have had some sunshine and temperatures into the 40'sF this week, so I have no cause to complain. No doubt winter will return, but I'm enjoying each of these nicer days. And then when it's cold, I'm staying cozy inside of the house. Trying to be more thankful and less complaining this year!
ReplyDeleteBlessings always my friend,
Betsy
Gorgeous collection of cards, love them. Have a lovely woyww and happy crafty week, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous selection of cards, Shaz, you HAVE been busy! The view from the desk you were working at looks beautiful, looks like a stunning part of the world. Thanks for sharing all your photos. xx
ReplyDeleteOh wow they are gorgeous, I especially love the script background with the butterflies!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful cards Shaz - they may not look like the ones you were CASEing, but they are beautiful in their own right.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing set of pencils there - I am beaking the 10th commandment!!
Blessings
Maxine
Looks like you had a lot of fun at your sister's place Shaz, what a gorgeous view! And so many cards, you've been very industrious. They look great too. Have a great week, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteWow that looks like a beautiful spot to be visiting and the variety of bird life is amazing. That is one think I notice when travelling overseas... so few birds when you are out and about compared to Australia.
ReplyDeletesandra de @20
what a view from that table oh my gosh!!!! Your cards are beautiful as well, such luscious colors!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards as usual! I'm always most encouraged by the Scripture verses you share at the end of each post...there's been more than once I've been having a difficult day (including today), only to be blessed by God's Word that you share at appropriate times. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great time at your sister's Sharon! I love my prisma colored pencils, they are my favorite but I just love colored pencils period. lol That's a beautiful view out your sister's window! Your cards are just stunning! I love how your smooshing turned out but understand as mine never looks as good as Loll's does either. I love these soft colors you got though and think it looks great! I also love the ink blending you have done on your other's card and I love that fern stamp. Those cards turned out fabulous too. Your photo's are just stunning as well. I think this world is so beautiful and we are all very fortunate that God gave us such a beautiful world to live on! I had a question come to mind, I don't live living near the water, but you live near it and looks like your sister does as well. Do you guy have tropical storms and hurricanes??? That's what makes me not want to live by water. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWow! That is quite the pile of handmade cards! What a wonderful wedding gift. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI like your cards, even if they do not look like your examples, they are your own. Drooling over the pics of Australia, definitely on my wish list, sadly it is so far away so rather expensive, have a lovely weekend, happy belated WOYWW Vicky#10
