Well, another quick post. Amazingly it is Wednesday again, so desk share time with desks of the world over at Julia’s At the Stamping Ground. To my desk, not today some time ago. I was doing an Illuminated piece for my friend with my water colours. I’ve decided I like gouache best as wasn’t 100% happy when it was done. I shared completed work yesterday see here or scroll down.
The desk today is a little boring and not much different to some others, but here tis anyway.
It’s tidied a tad, on left are some Christmas Stamps partly out of view, not done with yet, and card almost done right next to them at back, in front of it is a background I’m thinking about using. Mm, 25th looms and the last Rudolph day over at Scrappy Mo’s until 30th Nov. Watch this space!
Lastly is the Aussie shot today of a very sunshiny view with wattle flowering in foreground taken a couple of months back on a memorable day. In that scrubby growth are blue wrens hard to photograph but, oh so cheeky!
Well that’s me for the day. May God bless you every one!
Thanks for popping over and saying hi, you are REALLY appreciated!

The verse for the day!
The verse for the day!
One of my favourites, yes have lots of them! 😉 but tis great to remember when my strength runs out I’m not depleted, for God says “My grace is sufficient for thee, my Strength is made perfect in weakness.”
I’d like to link up with the following:
Oh what beautiful cards. I especially like the purple one...my favorite color. You always make such wonderful cards with scriptures. What a blessing they are to the recipients.

Lovely cards Shaz! I went to the wrong link but enjoyed reading what I found. clicked "home" and came back here.
ReplyDeleteYour calligraphy is absolutely wonderful. How long would you say it takes you to do something like that from start to finish and do you have breaks and go back to it or just do it at one sitting? So many questions but it is so beautiful one likes to know about these things.
Take care my friend, must email you soon.
Blessings and Gentle Hugs Neet 4 xx
Hi Shaz, great cards, love it when we can use up leftovers. I always seem to have loads of them. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful calligraphy, I just scrolled down and saw the finished piece - it's beautiful - you must have such a steady hand to work in such detail. I love the cards too - such a pretty iris stamp.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

There you are Shaz, I came to visit earlier but found myself back in time but I did like looking at that cute Kangaroo playing hide and seek in the bushes.
ReplyDeleteYour Calligraphy piece will be outstanding, I have not created a piece so big since my college days. Way back I was given a vibrant gold ink from my tutor as a gift, little did I know that I would never find one as good and I am still looking for one that was as good as that, wish I could remember the name of it but it was magnificent for adding opulence into plates such as yours.
Great cards created from snippets, I feel at times I have more snippets than paper..
Thank you for your kind words Shaz, a new date for Hubby's op has now been set.. just have to wait again now.
Happy woyww blessing Tracey #6

Well your friend will love the gift, that illuminated scripture is beautiful. Gosh it must take you hours. Lovely to see that you’re using snippets too, my word thats very impressive Miss Shaz! Love to think of the little blue We=rens enjoying the wattle and the sunshine, I know I would!
ReplyDeleteHi Shaz, wow to the calligraphy lettering- it's beautiful. I want to learn, and did buy some cheap pens - but they really don't work for me, so I think Santa may be bringing me some decent pens, we'll see! Your cards, as always are lovely. I need to empty my UFO box and use up the bits in there! Thanks for stopping by earlier and have a lovely week Heather x #9
