WOYWW Scrappy Mo’s Christmas Challenge, Brushos cards

Hi there, Wednesday so that means it’s time for WHAT IS ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY.. or WOYWW over at Julia’s Stamping Ground! So pop over and join in with desks of the world!
To my desk.
I’m working on several cards, surprise! One on right is Christmas card upcycle as it is time for Scrappy Mo’s Rudolph day Christmas Challenge. It started in 25th Feb... However as
February has only 28 days you need to have your entries in by Thurs 28th at midnight, Eastern Canadian time, they’re 15 hours behind us... so we almost get another day. 😊
On left is another card almost complete. I’m doing sorting, technically tidying but I’ve yet to work out if it’s tidying as still a mess, anyway I find this gorgeous pile of ink resist creations made ages ago, prob years now. I’ve a friend in need of snail mail cheering up hence making quick card with things already three quarters done. I’ve also hunted up a piece of green Brusho card to match that missing piece on my B on happy birthday card below. It looks like the real piece, a perfect match. Love Brushos.
To my cards, the Christmas card.
It is upcycle with last year’s card, I’ve several more on go as changed this design several items so will prob make one or two more am behind already on my Christmas cards. SB fancy large ovals used and a digi verse.
Next card is the sending hugs and prayers, stamp set is by Hero Arts and the large stamp dandelion background is also Hero Arts.
The ink resist was done with white EP and Distress inks.
Last is the one I almost finished last week when I was away,  but had a missing piece, which is now rectified and complete. It’s using MB stars stencil and Quietfire Elizabeth Craft Designs happy birthday with Brushos of course! See last week’s desk for colours.
Well now for our Aussie shots. We’re having a mixture of rain and sun at the moment which is quite different for us, we do need the rain. Very thankful for it, we’ve had big seas and some sea erosion too.
This is the same wave tossed surf that was tranquil in comparison the previous day when we went for a swim. This is southern end  of beach. The foam whipped up in photo below is from northern end.
Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat may God bless your day wherever you maybe.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
A thought for today:
Be still.. and know that I am God is something I need at the moment. Sometimes things flow smoothly. But more often they do not.
Then we must wait on our Lord to Work..
Wait = be still.

I’d like to join up with also:

CAS Stencil + CAS Christmas + Twofer Challenges + WOYWW

Well, hoping to knock off a few challenges today! But as it's Wednesday it desky share time.  For WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday! Pop over for desks of World at Queen of desks - Julia's! ...my desk this Wednesday! Yes, I'm AWOL!
Tough spot to be in, eh? Someone has to do it! Great swim this morning! Very blessed..
However in the best form.. here is one (or two) I prepared earlier! 😊
So  knocking off a few challenges... Darnell's Twofer challenge had stars, so used mask from MB with glitter paste on one piece with Brushos and versamark and silver EP on other. Two very different backgrounds.
The Brushos and stencil was with Loll's CAS stencil challenge. However unlike videos I watched the idea of adding excess water over it didn't work in keeping brusho into just stencil glitter paste area so tried second piece below. Only added limited spritz on Mixed Media paper and it worked really well.
Did tape it down all way and sprayed hair spray on stencil to seal it to paper better. And only sprayed a few times and lifted quickly. That worked well no residue. Found tip on Splitcoast when doing technique reseach. Finished Twofer below.
Made one into Christmas card for CAS Christmas card challenge which is peace. Hence Peace diecut.
Impression obsession nativity triple layered with Peace die. Background paper from bunch flowers, hologram silver mirri card is snippets.
Off to Snippets Playground!! Yay!
Will add a small happy birthday or thinking of you or thank you to finish this Friend card.
Was planning to make this a Threefer and brought this almost done card out here to complete! But alas! one piece around "B" is missing so will have to wait till home to complete now.. not to worry. Will just recut another piece of similar coloured brusho. Enough bits at home! That's the back of cereal packet originally the green piece.
Now to Aussie shots. It was a full moon out here last night.. first taken at 6pm second at 8pm. Simply beautiful.
Thank you to those praying for the fires north. Thankfully they are all under control. However 19 homes were lost in this fire alone, plus farm buildings fencing crops etc. So sad especially as deliberately lit on total fire ban day. 😑
Thanks for popping over for peek and chat and may God bless your day wherever you may be.
Hugs Shaz in Oz.x
a thought to close..
Love this passage at the end of Thessalonians. Pithy little needful exhortations. Rejoice! Pray! Give thanks always! Secret to contentment. Need each one...

WOYWW + more Glittery Serviette Cards

Well, yes, it's really summer here, very hot today, cool change this arvo thankfully. Went for swim on high tide, too. As its WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk time.. so pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground, please! My cutting station left from last night.
I'm doing three more cards with that one serviette or as US call them, napkins. Love the subtilty of TH Rock Candy. Hot evening last night so started 3 cards, doing more die cutting. Was fun to try thinking of different dies to use!
They are underutilised!
Now to three cards!
Used SB dies same Sweet & Sassy "Wait" stamp set, and embossing on base card.
Butterfly Challenge Letter A for Aperture (used 3 + butterfly, Apertures - on cut outs + Apple Green + Anything)
Psalm 62:5  "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him."
Going to close with the pineapple picking ceremony.
Last week then left for week to finish ripening. This should be smellavision! It measured with top about 30cm or a foot. Here it is cut up also, 485 gram of fruit or almost half a kilo. Sweetest ever!! Yummmo!!

This was one of the five spots we swam at last week!
And the sun last night.. sign of bushfires and heat that red glow. Six homes sadly lost at Tabulum north of here. Praying for the brave Firies.
Our frangipanis though are very fragrant.
Well, do hope this has mostly cheered your day. Thanks for popping over for a peek and a chat.
May God bless your day wherever you may be.

WOYWW + Serviette Rock Candy Cards!

Hi there everyone! Well, here I’m trying something I didn’t think I’d like... but I do! Also 'cos it is Wednesday, linking over to WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday over at Queen of Desks, Julia of the Stamping Ground! To my desk earlier!
I was given some yummy home made bickies at Christmas time, made by Marco! My friend Isabella’s dad, who is from German Switzerland. He’s an amazing baker and his biscuits are a real treat. This serviette came with them. I looked at it, wondered if it would work in the serviette technique? Left it for ages and was nearly throwing it out when thought I’d give it a go. I’d seen a you tube video on using glitter with heat and stick on serviette. Well, don’t have heat and stick, but had a go anyway. Attached the top layer with the plastic wrap iron on method. (Cardstock, plastic wrap, very top layer only of serviette, copy paper and iron on very hot iron). I had to iron out creases anyway so decided it was easiest. Then instead of heat and stick used just large piece of DS Tape. I was given this lovely TH Rock Candy by Ginny Maxam so rubbed that over the top. It is more subtle than glitter.
After the first card, which I framed with pink scallop frame, decided to die cut the serviette piece before adding the DST and rubbed in Rock Candy to lessen waste.
I loved this technique so much, you can see it really changed up the look of this serviette. (* SNIPPETS used so yay! Off to playground!)
Really love the verses on these cards they're from Sweet and Sassy. Waiting on the LORD, for He is our Strength at all times.
Have made three cards and probably make three more. They’re for female birthdays have a few of them in February and early March. Good to be organised.
I will be slow in commenting as I’m not here! This is scheduled. I’ve visitors so out and about, swimming, dining, swimming, going for walk in botanic gardens ... oh, and did I mention swimming??? 😆😂
Here are some pickies from our Botanic Gardens.
Can you see the harmless green tree snake in the garden? I'm also adding pineapple update at end.
We'll probably pick it soon a week or so.

I’m praying for folks though, Australia is really coping it north and south. Up North with massive rainfalls, a year of rain in eight days and so many far North Qld towns flooded and down south, Tasmania and Victoria are struggling with fires out of control.
Many thanks everyone for popping over especially if you say Hi, and may God bless your daywherever you may be.
Prayer hugs,
Shaz in Oz.x
PS I want to welcome some new Encouragers of this blog but don't know their names. Sorry. I really truly appreciate you.
