Hi there everyone! Yes, this month is rattling by and we are almost a quarter of way through 2021! For it’s the 31st, today Scrappy Mo’s Christmas Challenge ends for March - see here! Firstly as is Wednesday, and WOYWW - What it On Your Workdesk Wednesday over HERE at Julia’s.
This is a set from Beccy’s Place Digis "Prehistoric Party" that retires by 31st April, check them out.. so cheap. I've bought a number of her half price retiring sets here, love they’ve greetings, coloured images , which I used and black and white.
TIP: to make cutting out fiddly images easier, do a thicker outline around it, imperfections are more easily hidden. I also shape them with shaping tool on foam mat, do extra snips in image to accent shape. *I often work on scrap advert paper so then it’s thrown away, saves cleaning desk surface! Now next pickie, only a crafter will feel what a bargain and gift of God this huge roll of branded tape was.. for $Aud3.50! π³π yes, only one in stock at big hardware, with other mounting tape, no label as is, so lady "gave" it to me. Never seen them in Oz before.. only in videos in USA. Happy dance time!!To my cards! Rudolph day Christmas card first.
Believe it or not this is ALL Snippets!? So off to Snippets Playground here. Even base, made it for another card last year, but never used! Foil were all from small bits. Dies are CCD, except greeting strip, set by Avery Elle. It’s first outing, as well as the CCD two dies, quite separate Nativity globe andJOY dies, so a NBUS. The stamped greeting “to the world” greeting is by Poppy Stamps, “Joy to the World”, heat embossed Gina K silver EP.The design is a CASE from my Christmas card received from Brenda of Crafting with Friends, used a deer die cut jumping through the “O” instead of small nativity. Thanks Brendaπ for the idea. The EF is by Couture creations, I think, Christmas set.Mister 8’s card!
First of all two photos to share!
- from my friend, Anne in France, where spring bulbs are showing colour to cheer anyone’s heart!Well, thank you for popping over to peek, especially if you could say hi! You’re so appreciated. My commenting was really hindered by a weekend bug which visited, but am over it now, thankfully π .
May God bless you all and keep you safe wherever you may be!
Prayer hugs, ππ€ , Shaz in Oz.x
Thought for the day:
Well, Easter is coming, as we call it. This Friday is the Passover , as the Lord’s people, Israel call it. The Passover was first celebrated as slaves in Egypt, when in each family a π lamb was slain and the blood π©Έ was put upon the door lintel and the door frame sides.
This dripping blood formed a cross - when God’s angel of death passed over in judgement upon Egypt’s cruelty in enslaving His people. When the blood was seen, God passed over.. The firstborn male was preserved, not slain as in unbelieving families, with no blood upon their door lintels.
Each year this Passing Over of the angel of death is celebrated by Israeli’s to remember how God preserved them, His people.
This first Passover lamb slain was looking toward the cross, upon which the Lord Jesus Christ died - for my sins, and for yours and for all mankind. As John said: “BEHOLD, The Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the World”.
The Christ born in Bethlehem became the Lamb of God, Who gave up His life upon the cross, on Good Friday upon the cross. He gave up His life, it was not taken from Him!
"He could’ve have called ten thousand angels to set Him free,
But He died alone for you and me"!
I will be back God willing in Resurrection Day.. Sunday. π

I love those chauncy little dinosaurs, Shaz! They have such fun expressions. That's a very good tip for fussy cutting - must remember that one. I am glad the weather has improved where you are, and you are getting some sunshine again. Your friend's French flowers are beautiful! We are enjoying gorgeous spring flowers in our garden at the moment and it always lifts my heart when I see the primroses blooming again.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW and God bless,
Shoshi x (no number yet)
Fabulous cards, Shaz! Love the dyno one, and many thanks for the tip about the marker on the outlines before cutting out fiddly images!! Very useful and simple!
ReplyDeleteI think I have the EF you used, it's a two-packed one: 657398 Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2PK - Peacocks & Leaves Set. Hope it could be useful for you.
The nativity in the circle is another great idea, really striking and just perfect to celebrate the real reason for Christmas! Well done!
Lovely photos too, here is spring but seems summer, the weather is hot!!
Hugs
Love the dino card! How charming and beautifully decorated! THis is such a wonderful week from Palm Sunday to Easter - He will soon be Risen!
ReplyDeleteShaz, both of those cards are beautiful but I adore the Christmas card. How delicate and beautiful. And what a reminder with this being Easter week. Even more important in our lives and our redemption!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better from the bug that visited. You have shared some beautiful photos from your friends today. The flowers in France and the sea in Oz. I feel as though I have traveled around God's beautiful world in your post. Then I look through my windows at the brilliant blue sky and mountains. How He has blessed us all.
I got my second vaccine yesterday. Not as smooth sailing as the first one as I was up most of the night with a fever, bodyaches and headache but I feel much better today. Just tired. And fully vaccinated! Yay! Now I can travel according to my cardiologist.
Have a lovely week my dear friend. May God bless you as we remember the sacrifice on the cross.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your Christmas card is beautiful Shaz, the mirror card is a beautiful colour. I love the gorgeous die cut and the beautiful star too. The embossing in the background adds lots of wonderful texture.
ReplyDeleteYour dinosaur card is really amazing, what a labour of love! Thank you for sharing the tip about colouring around the image before you fussy cut, that's a great idea. I'm sure Mister 8 is really going to love what you made for him.
Cheers,
Beccy

Love the JOY die (it is a die isn't it?) and the dino card came out really well. Happy Easter God Bless BJ#13
ReplyDeleteIt’s all about the green on the desks today and your’s is no different, lol! That’s such a great tip about the marker and cutting out, a lot more forgiving if you make mistakes at all (and I do, plenty of ‘em!!) I like the snippets C card too, the purple/pink card for the word Joy is a refreshing change from the traditional colours. Lovely pots of tulips and daffs, there’s a few in my garden too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Shaz, I hope you have a marvellous weekend.

The dinosaur card is just the cutest, I am sure he will be thrilled and I just love the nativity inside the word joy, looks great against the embossing too!
ReplyDeleteLove those dinos! Great tip about the cereal boxes - I bet that makes them stand up well on the card too. I saw a lady at a crop with a big roll of tape like that and she kept getting her hair caught on it, which is the sort of thing I would do! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #3
ReplyDeleteSuch a fabulous dinosaur card Shaz - well worth all the snipping. Some great tips too. Well done on the roll of foam tape find as well. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #9

Shaz, ALLL those cards came out beautifully! Really love the "joy to the world" card!! Those spring bulb photos are just beautiful!! I have a few pots outside my door, but wouldn't a garden full be amazing??? The beach scenes are gorgeous as well! You could almost just walk right on in those photos!!! That is some roll of tape you were blessed with too! Wow! I wish we could enjoy our beaches but we are now in a 'lockdown', so only 10km travel allowed. Ah well, the Lord knows best! keep sending them photos in so that I can be at the beach virtually!!!!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant cards all! Love the dinosaurs...
ReplyDeleteSuper pic of the seagulls!
But LOOK AT that roll of tape!!

The Dino character is so cute and looks great used on a card. The Joy to the World card is supreme and not too fussy...beautiful in fact! Restrictions have been lifted here in the Valencian province so we also will be making a trip to the beach next weekend. Lovely photos of the beach where you go swimming and those wonderful blooms such a gorgeous splash of spring colour :-) Happy Easter Amanda x
ReplyDeleteYour Rudolph Card is lovely. I love the glimmer of colour in the mirri card you used in the design. It is subtle and lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are spectacular. the crashing surf is so lovely!
But the gardening boots full of bulbs steals the show. What a beautiful display.
Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
As always, a fascinating post Shaz about your work and also life whre you are. I LOVE your snippets card. That's a great tip about going round outlines before fussy cutting. But what if you have a shaky hand at times like me. I snip first and then run a black marker around the outer edges. Am sure your way is much better though - with a steady and reliable hand :) I'll give it a try!
ReplyDeleteSending you love
