More Snippetty Cards - LOTV Sympathy

Well, a quick post here. It's spring here and much ado. Time to share more quick cards all snippets again. Needed two quick birthday cards and a sympathy card. Here is a PanPastel piece made ages ago with versamark stamping and Hero arts set I think. Sprayed it Glimmermist.
The SB large Fleur de Lis Rectangle die was fussy cut to fit inside and set the image off. Added a digi print out from WAW also in stash.
Embossed front of card with Embossaliscious Swirls folder + ribbon strip and rounded two corners.
Second birthday card is another WAW verse which when printed off ages ago was added in Word doc. to this lovely Nicecrane image. Added chalk colouring and set on SB lattice rectangle set. Stash revealed more DP and added to base with some lace and ribbon also found in the clean up. All snippets again on this card. This verse is a favourite of mine. Zeph 3:17
"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing."
This is the sympathy card.. my friend's mother loved blue, hence that colour and the verse also had special meaning. Our Father God and His angels faithfully watch over all who love Him. It's a disc. favourite stamp from 1990's, did pearl EP over deep blue versafine ink to show soft blue. Corners on square are from SB Magnificent Squares cut 2nd largest die cut into four to add just corner. Piece. LOTV image I did several years back , trimmed it a tad, all papers were snippets, even lovely DP. Added ribbon and pearls.
This is photo of where I take my photos. The succulents are taking over here! frequently pull bunches out. They're pretty in flower at present too. My pottery, ultra-cute snail is my card spot! Bought him at a breast cancer money raiser. 😊💕 to more Aussie photos!
This succulent is also in flower. Did you know all cactus are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti??! Learnt that when trying unsuccessfully to find the name of this one. It takes a day for flower to open, flowers for one day then dies the next. Reminds me of the transcience  of our own life. We need to make it count for good..  and for Eternity..
A walk water view.. saw some in UK & US had snow over last few days ...so this is for you! We live in a beautiful part of the world!!
That's it for this week.
May God richly bless you and all those you love. Thanks for being such a wonderful blessing in my life,
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x

Christmas Cards Penny Black and Scrappy Mo's Challenge

Well, no WOYWW this week, very full days, so no time.
However have managed to do three Christmas cards. As its 25th! Time for Christmas card challenge from now to 31st - at Rudolph Day or Scrappy Mo’s Christmas card challenge over Here!.
Craft room organisation BTW is zero almost as full days out mostly or meetings  this week helping a friend.. Next week not much better with appointments, visits, etc. Better than being bored though. 😊
Last week visitors will recognise this card has the snippets of stencilled gold paste on black card I found in clean up. I added it on more snippets, even the base is such as they were to be thrown but a friend rescued them for me!! Stamp is by Hampton Arts, bought with US friend Marilyn at Hobby Lobby. Her home after Hurricane Michael still has no insurance person look at roof damage, etc! No power and no water.. so please pray for her and others waiting the same way.
The next two cards are up-cycles. Found in clean-up a base and an image I'd done, so brought them together. The stamp is a Penny Black brushstroke "Sweetest Sound", stylised the birds though, to make them into Aust robins for Christmas card using traditional colours. Find this a tricky stamp to use. Maybe need more practise see expert Heather HERE. Verse "Glory to newborn King" is by ODB.
Last card was a glittery gift card just added to some snippet of gold cardstock embossed with Swirls by Embossalicious EF. I providentially had some square cards I had pre-made also found in clean up .. mm must sort that filing of pre-cut card bases, so ad hoc. Verse is digi from stash.
To close with two Aussie shots.
That bunch of roses is from our garden and has been like that every three days for a few weeks now given number of bunches away. And every single one are VERY fragrant. The rain given by the Lord and care by friend while away is very evident.
Second one is on dusk on Monday evening moon (almost full) rising. Love the subtle soft colours at such time.
Thanks everyone for visiting will try to return your visit. I did better last week.
Two months though till Christmas!! This is something I truly have not absorbed yet!!
God bless and keep you in all your ways through every day.
Prayer hugs,
Shaz in Oz. X
This truly is a verse full of comfort hope and most of all Peace. Only found in the LORD Jesus, for the Prince of Peace is He! praise His name.

Curving Straight Edge Die cut, Christmas + WOYWW

Hi another week flying by. Suddenly hit me Christmas is almost here bar two months.
Mm, how many cards had I done?  Shocked at how few I'd done as I cleaned (yes still!! so many piles knocked over but two big boxes to go.)
To my desk! Please pop over to What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday or WOYWW over at Julia's Stamping Ground.
Yes, you can see my desk is clear almost! All piles here done. Just mid stream organising nice new drawers. Small pile under table is 3/4 done. Then the two dreaded boxes. Hopefuly most is recycle paper waste .. or might find my two missing dies!! Found two didn't know I'd lost on desk! In bags admittedly all intact.
A technique new to me to share today. Haven't seen how to do it so this how I did it! Putting a straight diecut on curved edge. Firstly extended it. This isn't actual die length.
Then stretched with bone folder just the outer attaching edge, added some small slits around sam outer edge. Attached with DST as shown.
This was an upcycle of very pretty card. Lacey edge (Dienamics) gave it real pop in matching mirri card.
Finished card didn't need any more! Already for coming birthday.
Christmas cards, another upcyle. A bit of dry embossing and a digi verse, from Luke. Like cards to always reflect the real reason of Christmas.
.. then a make with pieces from a few Christmases ago never used. Christmas masking with gold paste.
Now to Aussie shots. Our giant pineapple plant, which was growing like Jack's beanstalk has a baby! Also see two stages of plants... one top in front and another plant behind.
The wonderful 250+mm rain we've had here means it should be juicy! Am praying same for drought affected farms in NSW & Qld. Cute brommeliad flowers if you look closely.
My BiL shared these on What'sapp. The kangaroo waiting (?) for the sunset.
The heavens certainly declare the glory of God. (Psalm 19.)
Sorry such a picture heavy post. Made around some desks lady week. Hope I can again today. God bless you all.. and special prayers for my friends affected by Hurricane Michael (3rd worst hurricane to hit mainland USA). The home I stayed in with my friend has no kitchen, ceiling caved in she's with her son am hour away. Her daughter's home had several trees on it. So VERY many homes and livelihoods affected. Praying for all suffering ones. May they find comfort strength and help at such time.... Lord bless keep and strengthen you. Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz. X

Blessings Received + WOYWW ~ God is Good!

Dear ones, Popping back for not too long hopefully post *** very picture heavy. Firstly some sympathy cards received and also maybe of God's blessings shopping from Wales and Florida.. yes.. you read correctly!
Sympathy cards.. from Darnell (bubbles -love her simple understated clever work), Chris aka Mrs D bottom card, and Anne (poppy) in France. I was away when they came.
From WOYWW crop with dear kind Magaret I received many ATCs which as others have shared, so I will not as post would be too long. Tag was from Sarah I think. I loved it.
Neet have me the gorgeous ATC holder above and glasses case from dear Jan and bear from Annie, the ATC is Heather.. its an accidental spare if anyone needs it??
Shaz was incredibly generous gave me a bag of enormous goodies, love that they're makes I've seen or read about but never owned!!!
Also in last post on last day see what arrived all way from Shaz's kind hands!!
A wonderful keepsake of crop. Group pickie plus one of Jan and Julia; as Julia had a special decade to celebrate and so was unable to come.
Still pinching myself, I, l'il ole me was at a WOYWW craft crop! Incredible detail in Shaz's work.. card also from Shaz..! THANK YOU Shaz and everyone.
When Margaret realised I really was coming over, including a weekend, she said we must have a crop. She also kindly took me all way to Lincoln I stayed at a dear 86 y.o friend, Iris, plus saw again Mrs D and Angela (aka Felix the cat) who gave me this gorgeous dragon's eye stone.. we had lunch at Mrs D's new place!
On an aside, I admired greatly the paints Angela used and would you believe how God worked? ...bought similar paint I think in Hobby Lobby for $2.20 a bottle. $6.49 for three bottles. So now have six! Sprays shimmer x3 at US store called Tuesday Mornings.
I made three calligraphy to give as presents  before I left. Will share later.
Here is an overview of crafty purchases some gifts. UK ones were mailed by UK post seamail which took 10 to 14 days! They beat me home. I think UK post is marvellous. Half price of ours and super efficient!!
My room is total chaos. Complete desk et al re-organisation! So many piles. Like climbing Everest to be honest!! Sigh... a year of detritus and neglect with dad not well.
Two quick cards made while trying to clean!!!
Get well needed .. and wanted to try other to justify that group of assorted toppers. Both card's bits half made...  I think bottom image came from a WOYWWer a while back (said from Pembrokeshire on back?)
I visited Anne in France (see this post here)  Now you know why a cull clean is needed! A crafty sister in Lord is visiting today have goodies bag for her too!
Must go, apologies for inactivity in blogland. Will still be taking a break. Need it. Miss my dad.. very much but such a comfort and the great miracle of God's mercy is I know he's with Lord God. (Full details with one of his paintings this post HERE).
Thanks so much for praying and caring those who've sent messages cards and those who've thought in their hearts. I'm very blessed and extremely grateful for so much kindness to me. So many folks went the extra mile in that miracle holiday. One day I'd like to share a few shots and tell of some of those miracles of grace!

I think the next greatest miracle was the timing....
*** Tickets booked in January.
*** Dad passed two weeks before I left.
*** Memorial service one week before I left.
Who else but God knew all that!?
A memory from Llandudno. Not sharpest shot as taken in car with Margaret. But such happy memories!
May God bless and keep you. Thanks so much for popping over and saying hi!
Love Shaz in Oz.x

A thought to close with, going away for 5 weeks 5 days visiting numerous places, cultures, different homes, etc. plus losing a dear one, gives you an appreciation anew of life and its brevity and changeability.
Our life is vapour that appears for a little while, then vanishes away, James says in his epistle.
May we make it count for eternity.
