Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Layered Embossing, WOYWW, NBUS, Snippets, Allsorts.

Well, as it is Wednesday, I'm linking over to What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Here is my desk recently after a crafty session inspired by the double embossing video link below.

     Jo Simon's video Layered Embossing

I so liked this layered Embossing I made a number of cards, 2 x pink (one in DL, other 5x7), 1x blue, 1x purple, 1x yellow. So you ink a little then stamp SU French Script, then plainer patterned Embossing folder and Floral Bouquet Altenew which was highlighted with white pigment ink. I used a *NBUS Greeting set by Sizzix, very versatile.

Also Miss 14 had a birthday, this cute *NBUS Beccysplace.com image (a discontinued digi) was used plus some snippets of designer paper.
And Mister 10 loved his shaker card with the pun on it. Its a *NBUS Lawn Fawn stamp set plus Darkroom Door scales background stamp.
Now to some Aussie photos its spring here and so sharing some roses from my garden, some Rainbow Lorikeets eating grass seed, and the stunning sea view at my sister's.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek and a chat, I pray God's blessing on your wherever you are
Prayer hugs, 🙏🏻🤗

Thought of the Day.
I'm going through a rough patch at the moment 3 skin excision in 6days, two on my lower leg and one more on face to go on Thursday. So verses like this bring me great comfort. Jesus carries my burdens, without Him I can do nothing.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Goodness you have been busy Shaz, you really put me to shame as not a lot new at my end recently. The collection of coloured embossed cards make me want to try it out, I'd also love to see brightly coloured birdies like that in my garden, that said I am always thankful for the abundance of wildlife we are blessed with.

Lovely to see you at Allsorta with the cute chick card, thank you and hope all goes well this week.

Well aren’t those embossed cards the prettiest things out there? The colours are so soft and gentle, I love them, also the cards for the kids too. The lorikeets are beautiful, what amazing colours and the roses also, that vase is a picture!
It was lovely to see your name on the list this morning, hope you’re keeping well. I wasn’t sure if you’d heard but Neet is in hospital atm xx

Wow your embossed cards are so so pretty. Love them and will file that idea away for my next card-making session. Pretty birds, so bright! All the ones I am seeing in the garden now are wearing winter coats, drab and uninteresting. Sorry to hear of your health struggles. Hopefully it will be sorted soon.
Happy quick before knitting WOYWW!

Hi Shaz, I hope your operation went well,in a surprise I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. I was put in a fibreglass cast yesterday and am non weight bearing for 8-12 weeks. As we have stairs and I can't manage crutches I am staying in rehab unit for now.
Love the variety of colours and double embossing, something to look at for once I can go home. Have a wonderful week. Megan

Hi Shaz, sorry to hear you're having a hard time at the moment. The embossing looks like a great technique. I often think that when you find a technique that you like it's a good idea to make a few cards with the similar design and keep a few samples. Take care my friend and happy woyww. Hugs Angela x10x
