Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Brushos with Quietfire Design Birthday Die + WOYWW

Well, yes, back again, 😁 and Wednesday, so it’s time to pop over to deskland for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday at Julia’s Stamping Ground!
Now to my first desk, today's as I left it! Couple of images to colour, perhaps, for a friend’s coming birthday, done all February so starting on March, which happen to be all in first week! Thus will be back in time Rudolph day so hopefully can catch up on some Christmas cards. Really lovely weather, may get some beach swims in, too!
We had two & half feet of rain last week, drying out is good.
Second desk am about to colour some thread for my fourth male card for the year. I’m using Distress inks and Perfect pearls, been using latter a lot lately ... they go so well on male cards, and 2020 is "use up neglected stash" year I’ve decided!
Finished card, I’ve used one of pieces done with Brushos on photo paper (see here), and stamped with Darkroom door phot sea stamp, still have few more male cards coming ahead so this image will make a reappearance. Same but different designs! The background under the stamped image is SB stitched rectangle die which has been coloured with four diff colours of perfect pearls, has amazing sheen, not showing really.
Next are two cards made from one brusho piece on watercolour card using the Elizabeth Crafts Quietfire Design Happy Birthday Die.
Used positive and negative for two cards, both are dry embossed with Embossalicious Regency swirl EF, and the dies for top frame is two of rectangle A6 size from Scrapdragon craft site in Oz, love their dies, very reasonable if from Oz. Bottom is scalloped rectangle by Xcut, extended.
Last card is the inky one from last week’s desk. Hero Arts Dandelion background, ink resist with Distress inks, “Get Well Soon” by Dienamics (?).
Now Aussie shots, the rain has done the garden wonders! This week our Callistemon Mr Foster (common name bottle brush), is flowering well, it’s newish plant.
It was a food feast for Rainbow Lorikeets, they are clowns, with great antics.
Last photo is beach, where I am today... pretty, pretty isn’t it?
Thanks for popping over particularly if you’ve time for a chat, it’s deeply appreciated.
May God bless your day wherever you maybe.
Prayer hugs,
Shaz in Oz.x
Thought for Today:
This is such a comfort  this verse!
Truly we are rich in a Father Who’s understanding of our situation is all wise and perfectly in tune with our needs. This verse also speaks of the magnificent stars.
In the Southern Hemisphere skies at night are amazingly beautiful with the twinkling of the vast array of stars in the Milky Way. Yet this same Creator God sees our innermost ache of our heart and binds up our wounds, if we but seek Him. So thankful!

Amazing and beautiful cards Shaz - I really do love your work.
Those Lorikeets are such colourful clowns :)
Fabulous beach scene, and yes we have so much to be thankful for - we are now officially in drought, and the grass is crunchy underfoot, and the fire risk high :(
Blessings

Hi Shaz, loving all the cards. I have that Elizabeth Craft die, I love it, as you can make a great card- especially male cards- with just that & a background. Lovely scenic pics as always, and so glad the rain has put out so many fires, and that you're not flooded. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

Your cards are beautiful, Shaz. I love playing with brushos, they are good fun aren't they. How lovely to see your sunny weather on our dark dismal days and your bottlebrush is wonderful. I had one for awhile but it didn't like our cold winters.

Hi Shaz, I think I'm with you on having 2020 as the "use up neglected stash" year. I'm also currently going strong on having it as the "buy no more crafty goodies" year, although I might have to rename it as "buy no more paper crafting goodies" year, as I do want to do some more candle making supplies. Your cards look great as always. Love the colours. Have a lovely week Heather xx #26

Hi Shaz, glad to hear you have had plenty of rain and have started to dry out, that was one wet weather system, we had over 2 feet of rain in two days here. The train line washed away and the local falls closed the hiking trails beyond due to the amount of water, they are using helicopters to drop supplies to repair the water damage into the valley today and tomorrow. Lovely cards and the last one is spectacular... Have a wonderful weekend... Megan

Another fabulous array of cards Shaz. The plants certainly look well despite so much rain in a short time. Glad you have had plenty though given the drought. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #2

First off, happy belated birthday my sweet friend! Sorry I'm a day late with my well wishes. I hope you had a great day. WOW! What a beautiful assortment of cards Sharon! Loving all your inky backgrounds you have made. The coloring pieces look like fun ones to color. Male cards are hard for me. I've had a good many I've needed too so far this year. I really love that stamp you used of the palm tree and seas. So great for a masculine or feminine card. Your happy birthday cards are amazing! I love that happy birthday die, love the embossing too. Your second happy birthday card is so fun with the fun inky background. Then there is the get well card, wow, loving it! The inked background is so fun and then the stamping all the way around just makes the "sun set" background pop. Love it too! Loving you got so much rain, as long as there wasn't flooding with it. Your bottle brush bush is beautiful. Loving the birds in it. lol Oh, that view of the beach is just so peaceful and serene! Wish I was there! Hugs, Brenda

Oh my, Shaz, am really connecting with this batch of cards. LOVE your Perfect Pearled background on trhe Explore card. I see the shimmer and it looks so much like real sky. And then that get well card, love the background on it and the Happy Birthday cards. Lucky you at the beach. If I didn't hate sand, I'd be very jealopus, hahaha. I like the idea of the beach more, I guess, and never go, even living just an hour away max. XOXO
