Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

Word Art Wednesday, 95th birthday + WOYWW

Well, yes, back again, ๐Ÿ˜ and Wednesday, so it’s time to pop over to deskland for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday at Julia’s Stamping Ground! Sorry was MIA last week, so busy here, did appear on Fri for Annie’s Smiles, though and Rudolph day.
My desk as left it last night.
Was getting ready to add the usual blog stamp on back od two completed cards on right. Half made card on left for my friend s birthday on Friday, now finished. Think I’ve done all of March birthdays so now can attack April, and two of them are ultra special birthday so will need special attention - seventy and seven year old! Finding desk area of glass mat stays tidier, can’t say that for rest of room!
Here I’m starting the 95th birthday card and doing the corners, which are really Spellbinder Marvellous Squares Die.
I cut the die cut out as shown.
Trim it down to make four elegant corners as shown.
Finished card - 95th for Aunty Elsie!
Image is a digi, an old one from Nicecrane images, disc., favourite Embossalicious Regency Swirls folder, ribbon, Kaisercraft labels frame with Sweet n Sassy birthday stamp, heat embossed. 95 is by CB Olivia Aplhabet die, disc.
Next card is on today’s desk, a simple one really, printed up digi with a Frame from Beccy (I thought, but not sure now). Beccy's blog has loads of free digis under freebies tab at top, plus her shop has some half price for this month!
Verse is Word Art Wednesday. Simple card, a few snippets like deep teal card is dot embossed from decade ago, cos was on friend's bug, before I owned cuttlebug.
Aussie shots are over the headland walk on a sunny day, cloudy today and lots inland are getting good rain! ๐Ÿ˜Š
May God bless your day wherever you maybe, and keep you and those you love safe, thank YOU especially if you take time to comment.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
Thoughts for the day:
Shared back on this post on Oct 9, 2019, 6 mths ago the extent of drought below, on friends property.
We on north coast were suffering with fires then, didn't hit down south till 2 or 3 months later (currently ONLY 9 fires in NSW, was 160+ at height, PRAISE!).
Glad ours were early.
On my Oct post I asked for prayers for Darryn and Michelle.
Image above was back then.
This is the past week!
Prayer Works!
You wouldn't think it was same place !
And they're bringing stock back from agistment.
What a huge answer to prayer - thank YOU for praying!
Love this this verse! God does not make us fear!
Our trust in Him is an anchor on troubled seas.
He says, Peace! Be still!
It so VERY especially applies in our every day life when the 24/7 news makes everything so alarming.
I also loved this post of FB re Media dramatising current events:
A real perspective or overview of BIG picture  is key to peace in heart.
Don’t lose perspective.
****
Eg 1918/19 flu pandemic approx 75 million died!
Compare that with 18 million in the 1914-1918 war.
*****
SARS virus, Bird Flu, common measles etc are much more deadly per number infected, than current CV virus which  is 2% (approx) death rate (acc to very good scientific link here) so 98% survive!
**Key is washing hands VERY well, 20 to 30 secs, long enough to sing Happy birthday to you! ๐ŸŽ‚
****
So keep looking up, not at mud underneath!
God is still on the throne AND He will remember His own!

Well those corner pieces make such a difference to the card, I bet you'll use those loads of times! I've got a few cards made up for the WI gals now, as there are lots of birthdays in the next couple of months It's amazing how nature recovers so quickly, I'm so pleased to see that. And you're right about the Coronavirus...we have to be careful but not overreact.

Am utterly delighted to see the farm restored to green, what a relief! Lovely to read that you’ve been for a swim too, can just see you sitting at the desk in a damp swimmer and wet hair...your dedication is laudable Miss Shaz!! Beautiful cards. I have the CB Olivia dies set and its probably still my most used...at the time it was such a big investment, but I’m happy with it, it’s definitely proved its worth to me. Interesting that the glass mat is helping you keep that working area tidy.....you’ll get over it at some point...I know I have!!

Hard to take in the difference in those two farm shots, prayer is indeed a wonderful thing.
Lovey card for your aunt, those corners are wonderful and make such a lovely addition,
I am terrible at not using my embossing folders, and I have bought lots over the past years, but must admit Swiss Dots is still a "go to' one when I remember and I imagine it is the same for many other crafters.

What a difference a bit of rain can make. Lovely to hear that your friends farm is benefiting. Gorgeous cards , you always give so much attention to the small details and it really pays off beautifully. My computer is working once again and I think I may have sorted out the issue - the wifi extender- possibly interrupting the transmission to my little studio. I have now turned it off and NBN works all over the house. No need to tell you how many wasted hours spent on the phone to every IT person involved from NBN/Optus/Apple to even taking my computer into a repair person to be told - no issue. Definitely a First world problem and I have so much to be grateful for that I should just stop ranting. Ha ha... have a lovely week in your beautiful part of OZ.

Good morning sweet Shaz. I always like to try to choose my favorite of the cards you share with us in each post. Sometimes it's really difficult as I love them all, but this time was easy. It's the last one because of the Bible verse. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us all.
I was so happy to see your friends land so green and productive again. What a blessing for them to be able to bring their animals back home again. The ocean and the blue skies are so pretty. Our God paints such beautiful artwork with His hands.
Thank you for your comment this morning on my post. I appreciate all of the information and I'm trying very hard to not worry. I know that worry is not from the Lord. Unfortunately, I struggle with it daily. I honestly believe that much of that worry comes from being so far away from our kids although I have always been anxious. I pray about it constantly. I seem to be one of those people who lay the burden down, just to snatch it back up again.
I do know the facts about this virus that the various health organizations have put out and I appreciate the links you provided to me. Your love and care mean the world to me sweet sis. I pray that you will have a lovely week, full of His mercies.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Auntie Elsie is going to be delighted! Lovely card! Your teal/blue card is gorgeous, love the floral digi and how you have combined all the elements so beautifully. It is good to see Australia beginning to bloom and recover but I know that there has been a lot of damage and people have been left homeless and bereaved. It is true that with all that is going on in the world it is easy to give into fear. God is in control and such events should draw us closer to Him.

Your cards are fabulous! Love that corner frame die set. I used to have something kinda similar but who knows where it is. The Marvellous Square die set is pretty cool, too.
I love your scenery photos. So glad the fires are being rained on. God is great. So nice to see the burnt areas turning green. My dad is starting to worry over the CV. Asked me to purchase some good masks, $75 later for 5 and they won't arrive until April 1. Kinda says something about the delivery date.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Shaz, I'm so pleased you have the lush green fields back ... it looked so sad and desolate in the first photo - amazing how different it now looks. The 95th birthday card for your aunt is beautiful. I would never have thought to cut the frame and make posh corners - something else for my notebook. Have a lovely week Heather xx #6

Both of your cards are stunning Sharon! The images of both cards are so beautiful, those fancy corners you made from your die cut piece look so elegant! Both cards have such beautiful rich colors on them and I am so loving them both as I know the recipients will love them too. Everything is looking so lush compared to what it did look, praise the Lord for that! Beautiful blue skies and green-makes the heart sing! That scripture is a good one and one to live by for sure! Wow, Shaz...thanks for sharing all of this. Your art is always such a treat, and I'm always so grateful that you share the talents God has blessed you with by sharing them in our challenges. What a joy, and I give God all the glory for the beauty I see in each piece of art shared on our blog because I know that these are the gifts He has given to each person. How exciting to see this, and to have people share. My greatest prayer is that those playing along might read something or see something along the way that plants a seed that God's Holy Spirit can water and bring to fruition perhaps. All in His perfect time, of course. But it's exciting to be part of something so much bigger, It's always for His glory, and I thank you so much for sharing so faithfully.
Have a blessed week, my friend and sister.

Hello, Shaz, hope you are well. Brilliant idea to cut apart the smaller die to make gorgeous photo corners, must remember that so I'll Pin. ;-) All the artwork looks so pretty. God is Good for your friends so happy for them. Thanks for reminding us that we can shield ourselves from fear with our faith. This Corona virus has me thinking back to a book I read about the polio epidemic last century and how for years parents and their children lived in fear that it would strike. If I ruled the world, I'd say let's just all get it now and over with! This slow bleed is so stressful and that causes inflammation. So I've been listening to music and thoughtful prayer and other meditative activities like my art. We need faithful prayers in numbers that we will see this through, so I've been contributing! XXO P.S. - Thanks for commenting about the shamrock Trinity lessons of St. Pat. I was going to write that and forgot to, so I'm grateful to you for adding that very cool tidbit. XOX
