Firstly to my desk, as it is WOYWW or What is on your Workdesk Wednesday (pop over to Julia's and please join in, do!).
Desk shows some brushos with cling wrap method, which I made after reading this post on Loll's blog called "Stamping with Loll".
Shimmer on the watercolour paper, pretty pretty and quite cool, eh?? |
Finished card, added a piece of vellum and a die cut "happy birthday" by Elizabeth Craft Designs from Bizzy Bec's |
As you can see the details of the cuts .. the die does cut off bottom and would've done if I'd rolled it through both ends. You can also see the rather imperfect cutting :) |
I've made another one of these cards with Penny Black stamp "Bejewelled"... shown first on this post here... have couple more to share yet, too, waiting in wings. |
This card was shown back here - in different format and said I didn't like it.. so here is the transformation! LOVE it now! |
Thought it time for pineapple update... just a reminder .. this image below is how it was like just after Christmas. So it is half way through its growing stage I would guess, maybe ripe in May? |
Thanks so much everyone for popping over and saying hi!
And may God bless your day wherever you may be!

Your birch tree card is just beautiful!! You did a great job manipulating the die to cut only the parts you wished cut. Your background is stunning!! Very lovely work on each of your cards. Thank you for sharing your photographs, too. Those seas are amazing!!!

Morning Shaz. It's lovely to be catching up with you again. Hope all is good. Brushos are such fun aren't they. I've been enjoying experimenting with them lately but I love your cling film background. It looks beautiful with the trees. Your other makes are lovely too. You make such beautiful cards.
Wow, how that pineapple has grown since I was last with you.
Stunning seas too.
Have a good week

The Brushos background is perfect for that card. I am always amazed at your crafting ability. I never would have thought to run the die through that way to get the ends to turn out like that! And I didn't know it took pineaples that long to mature and ripen. #24
I will definitely have to try that background method with brushos; I've done it previously with distress inks. Fabulous selection of finished cards too. Happy WOYWW Sarah #29
Great selection of cards. I especially love the birch tree one with the fabulous background. What a great die! xx
Fabulous both your cards, Shaz, but I'm in love with the fist one!! The clean design of the birch tree card is really striking, your brushos background is wonderful and the vellum with the sentiment looks great!
Thanks fo sharing!
Beautiful photos, too, such a strong wind we had!... and your pinapple promise really to become so big :D
That tree card is awesome, great colors and clever frame you made. I'm in doubt after reading all the comments about unmounting my rubber stamps, Thx for your visit earlier, Vicky
I love seeing the pineapple grow - how interesting! The cards are beautiful. I especially love the tree one - the background is gorgeous and makes the trees just pop. Thanks for sharing!

I love the background you created for those fab cards. What an amazing land you live in - always such beautiful photos you share! x Jo
Great technique for the background Shaz, - have you tried shaving foam sprayed into a container the size of your paper, then sprinkled with brushos and lightly place your paper over, lift and immediately rinse off the foam - place flat to dry... - its fab... marbling effect... Dx #32
I tried using cling film with oil paints when I was at college. I enjoyed the effect but absolutely hated using oil paints. Next time I get the acrylics out, I'll try with them. Thanks for the inspiration! Have a great week - EmbroidRage #5 x
Such a beautiful technique, and your cards turned out so gorgeous. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40
What a great card with the Birch trees! Any imperfections that glare out at you, certainly don't show up at all for me, the card is beautiful! I also love the ble flower birthday card - stunning! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #43

Fiddly birch tree cutting, but I so love the result, and with such wonderful colors in the background too.
I recognize the flower stamp, a great one to have in your stash, so many design possibilities. And the butterfly card is really eye catching too. I think you're great a using your brushos in different ways, very inspiring!
That birch tree die is delicious! It makes for a beautiful card, you could use it for all seasons eh? Your other cards are gorgeous too! Thanks for your email, will get back to you as soon as I've stopped painting walls!

Love your Birch tree card, how clever to do it like you did! And the other 2 cards are gorgeous! That's the first time I seen a pineapple still growing, interesting how it looks as it starts growing the fruit.
Happy WOYWW!

Oh I love the birch tree die - I have a similar embossing folder but the die looks so much better. I'm also envious of the happy birthday die on the 80th card - it's a great size and a lovely font style.

Hi Shaz,
Wow, I love your card! Fabulous background! I must do some more with my Colour Bursts - great effects with the cling wrap! Oh, and I think I need that die :)
Forgotten what fun you can have with paint spritzer and cling film, a bit like shaving foam and inks. #2
I have one cheap china die and it works a pip so why do other dies have to cost so much? Hmmm.... I like your birch scene. Goodness you were brave and resourceful to keep the frame going on it. Lovely cards all of 'em!
Wow, fabulous cards, Shaz! LOVE the birch tree one particularly. I've just got that very same die (came this morning!) but I'd never have thought of making it into a frame, thanks so much for sharing your technique. Will definitely be trying it. Was so impressed with your idea I almost forgot to say thanks for joining us at Stamping Sensations this month!

Beautiful cards and beautiful photos, Shaz!! LOVE how your brushos and cling wrap turned out. Makes a gorgeous background behind the die-cut birch trees. Gorgeous look to the crinkled wrap design Brushos. And how beautiful an effect with this splendid die. Interesting to read your adventures with cutting it, as your patience surely paid off nicely. Loved the pretty flowers on Card #2, and thoroughly enjoyed the area pictures too. The pineapple has flourished so well with your green thumb. TFS & Blessings & Hugs

Hi My Lovely Friend,
Thank you for all the Oz pictures, flying to pineapple. Ooh, wish I could taste that fruit!
Now to your cards - beautiful as always. I love how you used the ~Brusho's with the die of the trees and the word as well. Looks absolutely gorgeous, as does the next one. What a fabulous stamp and what a gorgeous way you have used it - you are so talented. Can understand you loving the last card, beautiful words and beautiful pastel background.

Beautiful backgrounds - love the Birch tree card.
Thanks for sharing photos. I live so far inland now and I do so miss living by the sea - I guess that is why I particularly enjoy your seascape photos. Anne x
I like the look of the brushos with cling film technique. It doesn't look too messy at all. I think I could survive that! Lol. The effect with he trees in front is quite stunning. Love the butterfly card further down your post too. hugs Mrs A.

OMGosh, I was just looking at this birch tree die Sharon! lol Great minds maybe?? I love how you used it and if I get it will have to try this too. Love your brusho background, so beautiful! The 80th b-day card is amazing and oh so beautiful too, I just love it! Love the fix for the one card, you save this one and knocked it out the park!!! Love the butterflies and your verse is just perfect. OMGosh, look at that beautiful pineapple!!! I wish I could grow a pineapple. lol I bet it will be really sweet too! I love to eat fresh pineapple, but my mouth doesn't always love it if I eat to much. Wow, rough seas for sure! Glad the plane got landed safely, we have had lots of high winds here as well and going to be getting a foot or more of snow tomorrow night into Tuesday. I think I want to be at your house Sharon! lol Send me more warm weather please!!! Hugs, Brenda
A lovely selection of cards Shaz. I particularly like your birch tree card. I really enjoyed reading how you made it. I've not tried using cling wrap with Brushos. It's certainly something to try. Again some wonderful photos of your beautiful location. Barbxx
