Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Bizzy Bec's DT Darkroom Door Sail Away + Distress

 {WOYWW please scroll down .. or click here}

Hi there everyone, back with another card using the wonderful Darkroom Door set - Sail away! first a peek, then the how to!
 I gathered sea coloured Distress Inks ... see colours below.
On desk added inks to white coated mat (plastic coated lid from takeaway) laid down a layer water on watercolor block. Then randomly added colours till happy.
Stamped on scraps - two images with my favourite stamping ink - Black Onyx Versafine, embossed with clear EP.
Completed watercolour piece, now dry.. as you can see colours very random, cut to fit a 5" x 7" base for card.
With two stamped images (save other for later), inked with similar colours as used above, also DI Fossilized Amber from moon reflection.
Oval die, see links below, used to cut out window out of watercolour piece. Added die cut frame, shaping it a little on foam mat with shaping tool.
Added behind frame, double-folded mounting tape, ie folded in on itself to make it half the width and double the height.
TIP: Stretches/ fits better around oval if pull off all backing paper and stretch as you attach. Used largest and 3rd largest for die frame
 Supplies used: *All are Pre-order
* Darkroom Door Sail Away Stamp set.
* Lawn Fawn So Much to say ... birthday greeting.
* Distress inks
Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans,  Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire.
.
(if you see something that is not listed in store, then ask Bec via email to see if she can order it in for you! )
Thanks for popping over, especially a big thank you if you say hi to let me know you've been by!

What beautiful cards Shaz and thank you for sharing your techniques. I never quite get the results I want when mixing distress inks but I suppose practice makes perfect:-) The stamps are stunning and the images so crisp...The oval frame really makes them pop. They make great male cards which I find always difficult to do.thank you for the lovely comment you left and I hope you have a wonderful week crafty hugs Andrea #10
