Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Baby Christening Card ~ LOTV image, pearls and lace.

Hullo there every one!
I just loved this card when finished a few weeks ago now - nothing more satisfying is there?
Although I can't say same for photo, I was in a hurry - and somehow pinks are very hard to photograph, aren't they? Yes, it was lovely soft pink on second photo, not peach.
Used a LOTV image (Lili of the valley) as asked to make a christening card - never made one before. Had bought a set of LOTV baby images on post-Christmas sale, think it was.
When doing other images in this set before found the Octagons worked really well, so used my Spellbinder set again. Embossing folder is Cuttlebug one, "Love set" (discontinued).
Greeting set is from Spellbinder fancy label 3 with computer generated details requested by my friend. I happened to have a pearl outline which matched. Corner dies are my absolute fav. set, two of the set are really great - CB Vintage Corners. Added the lovely lace edge
details. Here it is closer up.. to see glittery bits of lovely image, lace and greeting details. My friend was also delighted with the card, and that makes it special for me.
A quick post this time as not 100%, may or may not make it to WOYWW tomorrow, missed last week, but at moment not a good day for me.. commenting is also impaired by health.
Sorry dear faithful friends, as your comments mean a lot to me and do like to reply to your kindness.
May our gracious God bless your day in every way,

Chris Dark, the Sketching Stamper + 80th birthday

Hullo there everyone!! Years ago now I bought some digi images from Chris Dark, the Sketching Stamper - she does not seem to sell them now, which is a great shame ~ her blog is here. Here is one of the images ~ Bluebell digi I bought.
She does have clear stamps of this image from "There You Go Stamps". I bought the set, and they are so VERY disappointingly small, so tend to use digi image anyway! Be good for atc's.
I had this image printed for ages now, so made quick card up on white deckle card, single mount style:  Forever Friends Petal embossing folders, ribbon with pearls. Coloured with Tombow watercolour markers, mixture of PanPastels and ink on die cuts.
My rule for just trying things with PanPastels is still going just fine ~ have yet to find something with which you can't mix with them when colouring! :D
Second card was an order for an 80th birthday, husband and wife, a day apart, so not too masculine, or to too feminine. Stamped disc. Bible verse stamp as requested and had this one done on vellum and card.
I love this verse in Isaiah, a wonderful book in OT which am reading through now.
.."the LORD is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." 12:22
What a great birthday verse ~ to have the promise of God singing in our heart, to carry us through  when feeling down. His promise to those who are His, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee".
Coloured the back of vellum, adhered to frame of Spellbinder labels 4, layered on scrap of DP Kaisercraft, cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities Cutting Dies Scalloped Labels 1. Embossing folder is in CB Oriental set - basket weave. CB Olivia die for 80, and EK Success Arrow Border Punch, with ribbon. SU punches for stamped greeting.
Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat, may God bless your day wherever you may be.

WOYWW Organising Stamps + Baby Cards

Good day one and all! a big happy WOYWW!
.. or What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, over at Julia's "Stamping Ground" blog and please do join us all.
Only one more week and it will be the fourth anniversary for this magnificent world wide blog hop.
I also say am thinking of all those suffering in big storms in Oklahoma, USA - praying for God's comfort and their needs to be met.

My desk in view - but rather on the boring side! Cataloging my 20+ years of stamps is continuing, but on the downhill run, phew!!! All wooden done, unmounted rubber-stamps folder done, just clear some sets left. Stamping all in one colour ink.
Wooden are quicker than unmounted - have a method for cleaning them, as it takes forever otherwise. I have the stamp cleaner with soapy side then drier side the old teatowel, with an old towel underneath the lot!
Have some stamped several times in a number of categories eg Seaside, Male, Scene stamps, etc. and really it is doing this which makes me frustrated as end up re-stamping some after having stamped them once, as add a category - like added "Silhouettes" yesterday! I hopefully will have them added to a loose leaf folder by next week.
Oh, will have to find time to make some celebratory ATC's before then too!!
Here are two baby cards too with LOTV images on desk some weeks back, these were made before cataract surgery.
For those wondering, was yesterday given a good report from eye specialist - thanks LORD - thanks for prayers and kind thoughts all of you. I go for eye test tomorrow :D with corrected glasses a week after that. Recipes for cards below.
To close here the Aussie photo today -

Our huge red Hibiscus is flowering magnificently - called the Emperor of Japan, enjoying a drink today from our very welcome rain.
Haven't been down there lately but from last week our local beach five mins from here, so lovely, we are very blessed.
Happy WOYWW!
May God bless your day everyone, thank you so very much for popping over for a peek and chat - will try and comment as much as able, Shaz in Oz.x

LOTV Bears with Ribbon and Lace

Hullo there everyone, just very quick post with cards made a while ago before eye surgery.
I had these LOTV images on my desk (dont you love them?? I do!).
These are two of the results; the others were made into baby cards not shown yet.  The images were on their sheet of six, no longer available as such sadly but images still are in other ways.
Used my spellbinder hexagons for both cards, recipes below.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek and chat, I will comment as able but I really thank you for taking time to chat!
May God bless your day wherever you may be,

Di's Snippets - Cuttlebug embossing

(WOYWW post ~ next one down- thank you!)
Hullo there everyone! Well, two quick cards were made at the weekend for two occasions. So raided my snippets drawer 'cos then I can go play in the playground over at Di's Snippets challenge (see here) - better take my woolies! I believe it is cold over there too!!
First one is a baby card ~ used Cuttlebug embossing folder on snippet and added chalk pad to highlight words. Always hate covering this up so went for minimal additions, found the image pre-coloured in my snippets. Added LOTV greeting,hand- cut it out, used SU round scallop punch with blue card.
Second one was a Chris Dark digi image printed in snippets. Coloured with watercolour markers, die cut in Spellbinder deckle oval, hand-edged in green. The deckle card has been lying on my desk for weeks waiting to be made into another card but embossed it for this one instead in Cuttlebug Caramello folder. Bethought myself of the LOTV greeting - my one and only New home stamp, and so used it for this..
Thanks so much everyone for popping over for a peek and chat and may God bless your day wherever you may be,

Red, Black and White - Lili of the Valley Challenge

Well over at Lily of the Valley it is Challenge 111 called "Missing you" and bethought myself of this little cute square by Lily of the Valley, of a bunny who is hunting anxiously at a Christmas mail box trying to see if his missed friend has sent him some mail (oops, maybe it is bird feeder - we dont have them over here and always thought it was letter box, till now). It will do as have very  limited range in Lili of valley.

I must admit I prefer their old way of doing squares where you had an assortment of sizes, rather than the large and one size only that they came in last time I bought a set about three months ago. The newer large squares are too big for standard size cards I like to use at Christmas.
This was from the very first set I bought from Lili of the Valley and have made a few of these to catch up on my Christmas card back log .Used the Cuttlebug winter Wonderland set and love this particular folder in the set, I have debossed it here and rather like it that way for a change. With some folders it just seems to work better for them. Other items were Nesties squares for mounts and a few snowflake brads and some bling.
Thanks so much for looking and may God bless your day wherever you may be,

Silver, Glitter, Blue for Christmas + Recycling - Challenges by Two!

Hullo there everyone! just a very quick post to submit cards for some challenges, first for the LOTV Challenge,  about time I did another one! The competition was a  sketch, see below!

Decided to do a Christmas card as way behind on them! and as I don't have many LOTV stamps - it limits me. However, I do have some of their lovely Cute Squares, so I titivated this one up (from Christmas Animals Set) with some glitter and glue pen, silver Mirri card on Spellbinders Square Scallops, some blue DP paper and blue vellum with Cuttlebug snowflake folder. For the strip below across bottom, I used a Martha Stewart Punch (Layered Arches) top and bottom, and debossed inside silver card with the Cuttlebug Edge (Just My Type)embossing folder, and Cuttlebug Vintage Corners with a brad + bling on the side.
My second card is for the ABC Christmas Challenge
and the theme is R for Recycling and Ribbons or Rhinestones. You must create a Christmas project using at least on recycled item and it must also include either ribbons or rhinestones or both.

And on this card (similar to one done before) everything is recycled except the white background card it is mounted on – the white sheeny piece of card stamped and the red cardboard are really beautiful and it along with ribbons and holly are from last year's Christmas bonbons (see link here) – what a stash there was after my sister's Christmas, and heaps more not used yet. :D Used the Christmas Cuttlebug set, Baubles, + Nesties Labels 8, with a very old stamp, bought at $2 shop about 20 years ago!
Thanks for looking everyone and may God bless your day wherever you may be!!
