Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Oxides NBUS Christmas Card for Mo’s Challenge + WOYWW

Hullo there, everyone, and yes 'tis Wednesday so it’s time to pop over at Julia’s Stamping Ground, where we see desk of marvellous inspiration worldwide.
My desk as I left it last night! A little messy, on left is the birthday card I mailed today, not finished there on desk, obviously. Mask circle at back is same one I’ve made about six cards with now, back of an icy pole packet!
Think that's snippets, Miss!! 😊
In front is my entry in Scrappy Mo’s Rudolph day Challenge, shared below. Beside is my silver Bodnant Gardens pencil, always think of Margaret (GlitterGlue) when use it, as she lives near there! ❤
Two brushes, TH spray bottle, clean Darkroom Door mesh stencil, lots of ink pads and couple of stamps at back.
Now to my cards, Firstly Rudolph Card, it’s really unusual but like it. A happy accident!
This stamp set is truly wonderful, by Colarado Craft Company - "Bethlehem's Light", bought it from Simon Says Stamps, at half price Christmas sale. Bought one for me and one for dear kind Maz who mails my US items.❤ Yesterday, had made the background for birthday card.. then suddenly thought these Christmas stamps would look good, too!
I lined the three stamps in the Craft Too Press to Impress Stamp Platform.
While had stamps in there, I stamped and heat embossed 14 more!
That took a lot of time, even though stamping doesn’t, heat embossing does, but oh! I love the gloss of multiple stamps with Versafine Onyx black!
 I love the greeting too...
“ May the light that
shone in Bethlehem
shine in your heart
this and every Christmas.”
The spotlight in oxide was a different way of using these stamps. This is a NBUS set (Never Before Used Schtuff), too! Yay! off to Darnell’s NBUS Challenge!
This birthday card is another colour of this card shown back here! This is the third colourway now. Have another one in mind again for yet another May birthday when will be all done! When you’re on a good thing stick to it!
Now I’m not apologising for so many skies! The Aussie skies in Autumn are simply stunning.

There was another evening walk, very different, but spectacular too but forgot mobile! So just sat and enjoyed the changing colours till they all faded!

These are all facing east. We are on east coast, so these are reflected lights from west, curiously less spectacular..
Well, that’s it for today.
Some good news though some of our state restrictions are being lifted and am going to be able to visit family at weekend, will still observe all the correct restrictions, though, but enjoy! We have 88 deaths in Aust and although it’s been hard, these restrictive measures have literally saved lives.
Sweden’s population is 10 million, we are 25 million, so 2.5 times their pop.
They’ve had 2,355 deaths and no shut down, mostly older folks, we’ve had 88.
I know what I’d rather do.
Yes, it’s all for the greater good.
Praying much though for all who suffer from job losses, or worse the loss of a loved one, praying for wisdom for all leaders, to be guided wisely and well.
And God’s keeping upon all who are hurting.
God bless you all, dear ones,
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
(Edit: re sun and Margaret's question below:
"At the March (Australian autumn) and September (spring) equinoxes the Sun rises in the east, moves toward the north and sets in the west. These are the only times in the year that the Sun rises due east and sets due west." Sunset sky photos are facing east, the sunset lights are cast from westward setting sun. It was much stronger and not photogenic.
Thought of the day:
These verses always give me such hope!
We are never alone, if we seek the loving help of our Almighty Father God.

I wish everyone would stop talking about lifting restrictions in the UK. we are already over 20,000 deaths (and that is just the ones in hospital). So glad that things are easing a little in Oz and that you will be able to visit at a distance. Lovely cards. If it ain't broke... Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Beautiful cards Shaz - you are so clever - I could never do that. I am really glad your restrictions are easing. I can't wait for our situation to improve. It seems a long time since the good old days of picking Ben up from school and enjoying his company whilst he ate his tea and played with all his familiar toys. Patience is a virtue!! Take care and stay safe. xx Jo

Hi Shaz. They are beautiful cards made this week. Good for you - doing all those starters!! Well done. yes, it takes time, but you are right - it saves time in the end. Your autumn skies are beautiful. I'm intrigued by the comment that some of them are reflective skies, facing East rather than West... Am I dense, but how does the sun appear in the west when it is setting? Or have I missed something??
I, too, am not at all bothered by the lockdown - am loving it - apart from not seeing my girls and grandies. It will be good to go when I am allowed - some time off I imagine, as they live so far away. Having finished the porch decorating, I now need to think about the next challenge.
Take care. Enjoy time with your family. Stay safe. God bless.

Wow, I love that NBUS card, I'd buy it in the shops to send to friends - love the colours and the silhouette seed and flower heads. Just gorgeous! I'm glad our country chose to be in lockdown too, hopefully it won't be for too much longer.

Beautiful Christmas card! I purchased a similar stamp (from a land far away) but have bot used it yet. Do you mind if I pinch your idea? It’s inspired me.
I thoroughly enjoy your pictures of the sky and seascapes!
Perhaps you can tutor me... I cannot figure out how to get a series of pictures on one post on Instagram. Any tips?

Stay well! Happy Wednesday!

You always share such beautiful sky photos - you know how I love them! the cards are equally gorgeous! Our numbers are rising so high... it's awful but I hope we can have a bit of freedom soon! Take care and stay safe.. Helen #4

It’s almost as if the Swedish government feel that there is an acceptable number of people to die, as if it won’t matter to lose someone. I don’t agree at all and think that these quarantine days have aced many many souls. And also, taught us all some valuable lessons about fellowship and community, don’t you think. More lovely cards, and 14 extras already for finishing...goodness me, you win this week! I agree though, if you hit on a good design, repeat repeat!

Beautiful cards Shaz, lovely design. TFS your lovely photos too. With so many deaths in the UK each day, I think it will be sometime before the lockdown is lifted here. xx

Gorgeous cards... I know I say this every week but they are always beautiful. Love the seed head stamp, actually I quite like seed heads and weeds at the moment. Haha. I do hope we can continue to low rate of transmission once they ease the restrictions. But, I live in Sydney and they are a little crazy around here and will probably have 3 day parties once restrictions ease!!! Really enjoying the cooler weather and we have some rain yay. Enjoy your walks and beautiful sunsets.

Your own made circle stencil is a gem, I’ve loved the cards I’ve seen where you’ve used it. The flower card is so elegant, I love the the design concept. As for your Christmas card I really like how onlypaets of the image sits within the colored circle. Lovely sentiment too.
