(For Good Friday post -link here)
Well, how are you all going? praying for you all, wisdom, grace for all of us! To keep on keeping on!
YES!!! tis Wednesday, so it’s time to pop over to deskland for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday at Julia’s Stamping Ground!
My desk this morning is looking kinda tidy because I cleaned up some last night. Was working on finished card. The two sets of stamps used are washed, back in stamp sets. The T Ruler on far left was used to keep stamps straight on one layer card. Do like these cards, they’re so quick.
About 20 mins work, it was in my head for few days, since saw B.’s blog post here, see the second card on her post was my inspiration, although mine is quite different, B's was gelli pad background she said. The stamp set on the right is by Woodware, it’s such a beautiful stamp. Mask to the left was made was made with scrap card.
Last night’s desk, share steps as have been asked :
1. Cut out of scrap cardstock (mine cereal packet) with circle die a round mask a bit smaller than chosen stamp.
2. Through circle blend with DI Oxides in graduated colours using makeup brushes.
3. Leaving mask on.
Chose a stencil , mine is “Small Mesh” by Darkroom Door.
4. Spritz stencil well on back of one side with water.
4. Laid water spritzed side down over the inked masked background for about 10- 20 secs & lift it off. Mine was a fine stencil so pressed it gently down too as wasn't quite flat in places.
It left a beautiful oxidised imprint.
Allow to dry then remove circle mask like below.
Close up here.
Stamped Woodware floral stamp on finished card with Onyx Black Versafine, and added clear embossing powder to heat set.
It’s really wonderfully glossy black stamping, this kind of captured it.
Always frustrated when photos don’t match real life! Greeting is Sweet 'n Sassy, Floral Greetings. Its a really versatile set.
This card was made especially for Darnell’s NBUS Challenge (NBUS = Never Before Used Schtuff) over here!!! Yay! Thanks, Darnell!
Now to Aussie shots - lots today to cheer folks up!
So many moods in seascapes, our beaches are still open for exercising!
No sunbaking, though.
Some sunshine and some clouds, some down here at local beach and some at Jetty after going to post office to post snail mail!
A bonus of the super moon from Oz.
I was pleased that managed to comment nearly everyone last week. Finding commenting hard as do mostly on mobile phone, iPad now uncooperative with blogger. Rarely use computer as it’s really ancient. Here in Oz is like everywhere, except we are allowed to do essentials like shopping, medical appt and daily exercise.
Our deaths have more than doubled since a week ago, from 21 to 48.
For those who think that’s not many, we are large country in area, as big as USA, but population of only 25 million. Our local town has gone from 8 last week to 13 cases. Controls are pretty strict in some ways and not in others.
I’m actually in part enjoying it, and definitely not ever bored. But really miss my family. Was supposed to be on holidays now too, like lots of folks.
(Edit: Praying a special prayer of blessing for Lynn of One I Made Earlier, a fellow WOYWWer. She just emailed her aunt Gladys' funeral is to be held Thurs. 11.50am their time, 6 in attendance, sadly Lynn's mum, can't go. Praying for all in such case to seek the blessing of the God of all Comfort in the midst of grief).
Hope pray you’re all well, thanks so much for popping over, especially if you stop to chat!
Lord bless you all, praying for you all that the Lord would watch over you and keep you and your dear ones safe, ..” we have no might neither know we what to do, but our eyes are upon Thee.”

All taken on my walks each day this week. Some surferboard riders behind those windswept waves! Shark food was my thought! |

Thoughts for the day:
“And the angel said He is not here, for He is risen, as He said.”
This Easter will be strange but the fact of salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus will never change, this promise is eternal by an omnipotent loving Father God.
🎼🎵 Hallelujah, what a Saviour!🎵
Thank you Lord Jesus.
Thank you Lord Jesus.

Happy Easter Shaz. I love that card, clean and simple and so effective with the Oxides. Great Oz pictures too. I hope things calm down for you all soon. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
Hello Shaz, admire the care and attention to detail you put in every card and they are always stunning. Beautiful photos of your slice of North coast. We crafters tend to revel in the lockdown .... forced to make stuff at our desks and then enjoying a walk or beautiful sunshine. Hopefully when this all settles you can get to have the holiday (well deserved). Love your post on Easter.... so true. Nothing will keep him down. Stay safe.

That card is fantastic - it really floats my boat! I love the circular background and the silhouetted seed heads so much. I'm glad you're doing ok Shaz, it's a real shame about your holiday but keeping safe is more important at the moment.
Sending you a virtual hug!

I am so impressed with your technique. I must try it to see what I can do. Yours turned out so beautiful. We are all in this pandemic together. I'm staying safe and only going out when I must. Thanks for sharing your lovely, beautiful creation.
Hi Shaz, lovely card. Made me think ' I think have that stamp', so just checked and I do!Love what you've done using it. The background is lovely, great technique. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #10 X
Really loved seeing how you put the card together....very pretty.
Your Aussi photos, as always made me smile.
Hugs,

Hi Shaz. The card is really lovely - my style - simple, white space, not fussy. Well done. It's a great technique. Last night's moon was fantastic, wasn't it? ENORMOUS!!! Your Aussie pictures are great - we, too, are currently enjoying some sun and warmth - be over by Sunday, though, apparently!
Take care. Stay safe. Have a great Easter. God bless.

That card is truly stunning ( i think I have that stamp too - so might have a go ( will share IF it turns out okay) . Thanks for the gorgeous beach photos <3 <3 Take care stay safe Soojay #18
Shaz that is a very beautiful and thought provoking card, executed to perfection. So glad you shared this with us today. More lovely pictures of your land, I feel I have been spoilt today with even more coastal shots. They certainly uplift the soul during these difficult days.
Take good care of yourself & please stay safe, here in the midlands we have seen increasing deaths due to this virus, we pray that this rise will soon fall and hope for easier times for us all.
Sending extra blessing your way this Easter Hugs Tracey #24 xx
Happy WOYWW. Truly stunning card. Just my sort of style and the words are beautiful. Thank you for sharing the photos of the wonderful beach. We are only a few miles from the nearest beach, but I am not cycling outside (my decision - we are allowed to exercise by bike for 1 hour maximum, but I didn't want to risk an accident and need to go to hospital) so we are isolated on our farm. Good morning sweet sister. I enjoyed the card you made today. Although it looks simple, I know that you put a lot of work into it and the card turned out so beautiful and stunning.
Your beach photos are so welcome. I haven't left the house in well over a week except to go in our own backyard and walk to the mailbox. TIn the news there was a man paddleboarding all by himself off the California coast and the police arrested him because of "social distancing". Seriously. There was no one around and he was out in the ocean. This whole thing is so crazy. It makes you wonder where it will all end. I'm so glad that God is in control and not man.
Many blessings Shaz. Please take care and stay away from people.
Betsy
Hi there and happy WOYWW love that circular card, it is beautiful. So are the beach shots. I am having an ok week - the hour I sat in the sun outside and read a book on Sunday have stood me in good stead. Take care Helen #1
Hi Shaz - spotted your beautiful card at the NBUS Challenge (mine follows yours). Just love your masked circle with the imprint - so gorgeous and perfect for the bouquet stamped on top!! Oh my - your photos looks amazing; thanks for sharing a bit of serenity!!
Such a lovely card! That stencil is fab and the stamp is gorgeous! I really like what you did with it! Loving your beach shots, we so miss not being able to go to the seaside. We too are asking God to end this pandemic and if not His time yet, then for mercy, compassion and healing. May our world leaders humble themselves befor our mighty God.
Hi Shaz, loving your card. That is such a useful stamp. Loving the sentiments too. Nice to see the photos of the beach too and pleased to see how empty it is. Wishing you a happy woyww and lots of crafty thoughts to keep you busy, Angela x15x
Your card is uber gorgeous! I find your beach scenes and quotes uplifting. Thanks for that.
Not being able to go to church and fellowship with others is the hardest part of this stay home thing for me. I am thankful that our pastor is making videos for us. I did get called in to work on Friday to clean the church. I'll get groceries afterward.
Anyway, I'm rambling a bit.
God bless you and have a great Easter.

Gorgeous background for that stamp, love the stencil technique on it too!
So sad we can't go and enjoy the beaches at this time but we need to stop this virus soon1
Wishing you a blessed Easter!
A super inky background with lovely stamping Shaz, thank you so much for joining in with our April theme at Penny Black and More challenge. Beautifully tranquil photos as well, thank you for sharing those.
Also my thanks for your kind words the other day, I know we all deal with situations n different ways and I am sure I will get my head round all of this in time. I know so many tell me how crafting is helping them get through these dark days and I gain great pleasure from seeing their creations, I'm sure my mojo will turn up again at some point.

What a gorgeous card Shaz - loving your background - the blending is beautiful, and the way you used the stencil was fabulous.
The beach photos are beautiful... so many moods in the sea!
I have not been out this week to town at all - so odd - but with phone calls and keeping myself busy i am coping ok. I have family doing my shopping for me, bless them.
Stay safe
Blessings

That card is amazing Shaz! And I always love to see photos of 'your sea'... it looks different somehow as the (Norh)sea I live nearby, as if the waves talk Aussie *lol* Stay healty, safe and creative. Hug from Holland, Marit #23
Happy Easter Shaz. The photos of the sea are lovely and your card is simply stunning. Take care and stay safe my friend. Happy Belated WOYWW. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#20)
Fabulous card and technique Shaz. Beautiful photos. I did see the super moon when walking TeddyB and it was hugs.. Stay home and have a safe and happy Easter...loz
iPad and blogger are just ridiculous, it’s long been a problem for me, I can visit any number of blogs and comment on them from my iPad, but I can’t do anything to or on my own blog. It’s maddening. I love the card, one layer does it for me when it’s made up of erm, layers! That gentle oxidised pattern is superb. I hadn’t thought to try it on gloss card - now I’m scratching my head as to which particular safe place my small supply may be in! Love your Aussie shots, I would love to live within walking distance of a beach, that would I think, make me a much more outdoorsy person. I love the Wiltshire countryside, but a seascape speaks to my soul! I think the social distancing and staying apart is starting to pay off, we’re still loosing a shocking number of people but the spread seems to be slowing slightly, let’s hope that’s the case. Keep well yourself and do everything and anything necessary to stay well, please! Big fat illegal but perfectly safe hugs to you.
Lovely post and lovely card, I have some circles already done on some cards, just waiting on an image for them. That is something I could do today and then I will have lots to share. They are small so will be easily done on my Misti. Thanks for reminding me. My backgrounds are DI's not Oxides so won't be as lovely as yours - I will try your way from now on.
Thanks for the beach photos, I would love to be able to go to a beach right now but don't have one close and cannot travel. Still will be all the better when we can. I am glad you can walk on your beaches - do you not meet anyone when you go? I just imagine that you don't which is good for you.
Take care my friend
God Bless

(our little towns figures are now over 200 - I hope people stay in this weekend and don't risk spreading it more)
Happy Easter!
Card is gorgeous!
I'm going to try that technique!
Love your 'Oz' pictures!
Stay well!
What a fabulous post, Shaz! I think your card is stunning! (I need a wee bit more information so I will be emailing you.) And your beach pictures, wow! I could feel all the tension leave my body as I scrolled through. Nothing like the sea to calm! Thank you and thank you for sharing your card at NBUS! Please take care, stay safe, and have a blessed Easter!! Hugs, Darnell
A FABULOUS NBUS make and thanks for the instructions too - glorious photos too
Happy Easter - stay well
Kathyk
What a lovely card. Your sentiment is perfect at the moment and your step by step is brilliant. I also loved seeing those lovely beach scenes - oh how I miss the beach at the moment! Many thanks for joining us at Penny Black and More Challenges xxxx
Wow, Shaz, that's a really beautiful card. I love how you've done the background, and the whole thing has such a beautiful, simple and clean look to it. Lovely Aussie shots too, with not a soul about! Such beautiful scenery. I love your final picture and the message. How true!
I hope you are having a truly blessed Easter.
God bless you, keep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,
