Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Masked Diecut With Stamped Christmas Silhouette + WOYWW

Just quickly sharing for Christmas card challenge - over at Scrappy Mo's!  It's  also Wednesday so time for WOYWW over at Julia's Stamping Ground - pop over to see stunning desks of the world.
Off to my desks, firstly this morning’s.
At top are some cards just out of view, in front right is the wonderful ATC from Shaz Silverwolf (thanks so VERY much, Shaz). I sent Shaz an ATC via Jo on 16/5, sent ATCs to three addresses in England, but have not heard yet that one has made it all the way there from Oz. ☹️
There are Distress inks. A mask was made with a SB Labels Die cut out of a scrap cardstock, masking done with repositionable tape on back, made three and will make more. Ink mat with Inkylicious brushes & DI inks + full size and minis - minis stored in video case, bought from op shop .20c a video case.
Great storage for ink pads + unmounted stamps.
Used on top DI blues x4, Dusty Concord, touch of Weathered Wood. Bottom has the Antique Linen, with touch of Frayed Burlap and Fossilised Amber DI. Used hand cut hill mask cut out of scrap paper. The stamp is Nellie Snellen Nativity Silhouette clear stamp, inked up with Versafine Majestic Blue ink, and clear EP. Greeting is from PB Wonder set, on magazine years ago now.
It’s so hard to find long narrow greetings, which you need at bottom of card, that’s why I often use digis. Looked everywhere years for long narrow Christmas Bible verses in clear stamps, but none of Christmas bible verse.
Completed cards, it’s a one layer card, so very CAS.
This image is of the flight into Egypt by Joseph, Mary and Jesus.
Jesus wasn't actually a baby (see here for full story), but toddler under two years old. However it’s rarely shown any other way but as quite a young baby.
Will do a few more, have 32 cards done now so almost half way... might try some other verses from ODB on it..
We’ve had some lovely lovely rain, I am ok, yes, shin is still slow. It’s rose time and will be pruned in July. I don’t do them as there are three dozen! And have two more newies to replace lost ones.
Well, here’s the Aussie shots.. our loaded lemon tree, isn’t it cute?
It’s kept pruned to five foot, and as result produces very large lemons, last year one over 500grams.

Also cream poinsettia growing in back corner, have no frosts here.😊
And sea view to close, looking north.
That’s it for today. Thanks so very much for popping over for a peek and chat, especially if you have time to say hi!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe.
Hugs Shaz in Oz. X
Thought for day:
Love this. As weak I am, WITH God there is hope! For WITH GOD, ALL things are possible! ❤❤❤

Brushos Over Stamped Image + WOYWW

Well, yes, it’s that time of week everyone!! It’s WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday... please head over to Julia’s HERE for desks of the world! Several desks will skip today’s, too many pickies.
This was earlier in the week, making another background for one more of watercolour cards, images I did back here!
Love this EF Tim Holtz bricks folder a freebie years ago. Double embossed it ..easy in my new machine, clear plates etc, then inked up Kraft card with DI Wild Honey and spritzed it then dried it, gives great look.
This card below was trying a brand new technique I thought of.. ie idea in my head. Worked ok but learnt some not to do things.

Scrap of watercolour card (back of yoghurt box) stamped Iris twice (masked, brand is Artneko) in Black Versafine ink + clear EP. Used Tombows watercolour markers but should've used  waterproof Promarkers. Next masked off flowers but not leaves, think they needed it, too. Then added brushos, black and yellow! Spritz and was amazed at colour. I had to re-colour irises because lost watercolours first time around. Also lost some of definition on leaves because didn’t mask them. Did extra Iris stamping in navy Adirondack  in background.
When dry added TH distressed dots stencil with Versamark and Gold Perfect pearls.
Mailed card 10 days ago, hopefully almost in Lincoln by now, for a very dear 86 year old Iris (on 27th), hence the Iris stamp. EF is Embossalicious Regency Swirls, SB dies, greeting a digi.
NOW the post man left me a wonderful parcel of goodies! Yummo!
ATCs finally arrived Downunder, from WOYWW 10 crop, thanks everyone! (Not sure where mine are, I mailed a week before WOYWW 10 on 16th May?)
A lot of goodies from totally kind Jo. ❤️
L to R top: Helen, Jo, Annie, Chris (Mrs D) Next row: Tag Sarah, badge and bookmark Caro, Notes - Canu Camilla, flower - Delores, balloon girl - Pearshaped Chris, twin cats- Neet, buttons - Lunch Lady Jan, last but not least, centre blue flower is Christine or Bishopsmate.
Here is where my badge from Caro is, little monkey (on right) was over the moon that he now has a WOYWW badge like big monkey, and that his said 10! The lighthouse light pull on right was my choice at doorprize at Crop 2018! It sits on my desk. 😊
Jo sent frame with her gorgeous dumfing in, but I’ve added Dear Tilly’s tiny little sheeps that I was given after my visit to UK.
Have another frame for Jo’s dumfing and they both make me smile as walk past bookcase where they are!
Aussie shots - the lorikeets were having fun in the NZ Christmas bush, yummy nectar there. Love all their poses.
The lastly .. some lovely creek cloud reflections.
Well, that’s me for day - a health update: (as when I don’t update, I'm asked anyway! I don’t say, ‘cos I’m sick of saying I’m not great. Actually I mind that more than being not great!😁) It’s eight weeks today since my right shin SCC Cancer excision. Because it opened again, it’s been very slow, I expect probably another at least 3 weeks or so. I’ve been on Cortisone for over 50 years, affects skin (causes the skin cancers, I hated sunbaking when young), also affects bones, teeth etc. Left calf SCC is healing okay, but also slow.
Today Wednesday at 2:20pm, 5.20am in UK, removal of lower right molar which had root canal, but broken off too low. Mercifully came out easily not like another. Such answered prayer.
God bless your day everyone, Not be too bright but shall do my very best to comment!
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
Thought for today: this was said by the LORD Jesus to His disciples when they were puzzled by He did. I find comfort in this when things happen that are perplexing.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.”

Tin Tin Pop up Slider Card +Snippets + WOYWW

Yes, somehow  it’s Wednesday again.. and time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
Pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground to check out all the best crafty desks .. you learn soo much!
My desk today, kind of cleared as just finished a couple of cards, on right is my new cutter. New mini guillotine. I’m an old chalkie as we say here, or schoolie or teacher. We used guillotines so as crafter I love guillotines. One I had was Kaisercraft and ten years old, just wasn’t as good as it was so been looking for ages for new one. Till saw this one (Crafters’ Companion Mini Guillotine), I’d not found one in my price range that was real quality. I bought it for cutting technique, not scoring part as love my Martha Stewart board.
See video demo here (ignore sales pitch, listen to facts 😊). Selling of other items helped pay for this and my new craft machine, which is such a blessing. Very grateful.
My desk on 15th May looked like this:
I was in midst of card for Daniel in France, he has received card so can share it here now.
It was a pop up slider card (for “How To” details see HERE on this blog post). Used for this one Tin Tin, we’d watched Tin Tin video together at his lovely French farmhouse last Aug. The part on my scoringboard was the slider action for the card and also the colouring of Penny black floral piece I’d stamped out. Sharing both cards here.
First to the Tin Tin card.. must admit these slider cards really work for these cartoon images ... they’re so much fun.
Image courtesy of Google again. Mostly hand cut except CCD pierced rectangle for image background. Wanted to 3D image but ran out of time. It takes a month to get to France from here.
Second card is with the Penny Black Stamp Floral Bouquet multi stamped shared back here. At the time I was not happy with first card I made. I worked out issue in my mind! It was yellow roses on that card, plus didn’t like whiteness of background card. I changed it since then and now happy with it. Here my new version with this stamp .. quite different as you’ll see.
Used SB divine Eloquence centre die for Sweet n Sassy “Wait on Lord” Stamp (actually has typo on it 😐). Lace is ODB Lace border. Colours on stamped floral are with DI and colours intensified with Tombows.
They really made it pop. Cardstock is disc. variety.
Took few Aussie photos today on way home. Our days are glorious and those winter crystal clear lights in sky are evident in these two pickies. Second image if scroll in has a surfer catching a wave as this is good break for surfing..
Well, that’s all for today. It’s late here again, as our Wed is nearly over, never seem to be organised but better bit late than not at all.
Happy WOYWW and may the Lord God richly bless you wherever you maybe.
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
Blessings from God’s Word:

Watercolour Male Cards + Couture Creations GoPower Pro + WOYWW

Yes! a whole week has passed. The last few days winter arrived!
Ugh!! my least favourite season, but since I really like 3 out of 4 seasons that’s okay.
To my desk, or my cutting station ... really big news this week! Voilà!
I’ve just taken delivery of a brand new electronic die cutting machine, A4 + sold my Grand Calibur all at end of last week. Very new release end of May, been waiting since Feb for it, paid in March (birthday money + saved $ from eBay sales). Arrived last Thurs!!
Why I love it? it’s multi platform.
Just loaded up my cuttlebug sandwich (see photo  - that's my Cuttlebug plates), put it sideways into the machine opening, perfect ... it simply runs through.
Sensor adjusts to whatever size plates you’re using.
(*Mm could do with one of those for my clothes!*)
Plates with it are A4, really decent thickness (two thicknesses B is thickest & is cutting plate, so makes sense) & CLEAR. Hated Grand Calibur which weren't clear plates, made detailed die cutting, extending etc tricky. Still working on sandwiches using their plates; worked out a better embossing folder sandwich.
I didn’t like their sandwich, with C plate and rubber mat, the mat kept moving way too much.
Might work better with smaller tan mat but I tried with B plate for the A4 Embossing folders and that worked really well. For smaller folders like 5x 7 I used B plate and a thick cardstock shim. This was good. Several runs through helps deeper Embossing and you can spritz cardstock, of course, to get deeper Embossing.
My final suggestion is IF using unusual sandwiches to listen to the noise of your machine to check that it’s ok. This may seem obvious but if concentrating on other aspects it can be missed.
Every machine is a learning curve. Right shoulder strength issue is reason for purchase.
Earlier desk - whole lot of watercolour ink block backgrounds done with Tombows, some stamping for “HOW TO” see back this post here. Made 6 backgrounds, have a number of male cards for birthdays coming.
Here’s my brothers’ card, it’s his birthday Fri. First one made with my new machine. Wonky rectangles by Creatif, kraft card background is EF by TH Bricks extended, inked with DI 'Vintage Photo', spritz water & dry, rest from stash.
Quickly sharing also 3 amazing ATCs.
Close up of my PiF from Diana, see amazing sheen, sparkle and details.
Wow, also equally stunning are next Sandra De’s and then Heather’s - such clever artistic work, ladies. Thank you!
Here’s my Aussie shots for today! Today is this sunny but, oh, the wind is strong south westerly, from snow up on Great Dividing Range. Used to live up there... a long time ago. This was surf this afternoon on way home.. birds loving winds!
Today saw Dr, dressing changed for last time, right shin going well. Must be patient tho as calf of left leg is SCC too, just surface cancer, so a burn off, phew!
Happy WOYWW everyone! Don’t forget to pop over Julia’s to check out out amazing desks of the world
Thanks for popping over for a peek, especially  if  have time to say hullo. Prayer for every blessing upon your day,
Shaz in Oz.x
