Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 40 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Mario Kart Pop Up Slider Card + WOYWW + Snippets

Well, another week flown... and this one was very eventful for yours truly, more of that later! To Desks of the World first - over at dear Julia’s desk at the Stamping Ground.
Here I am making a pop up card... my desk as I left it last night. If you want the best tutorial on this card see this Video HERE! Was I ever glad to find this tutorial. My desk is midstream. Trying to work out what colours DP (disc. Stampin Up) to use. Have the pop up mechanism made and the 3D image of Mario and Luigi done, both done before went away. Prototype run through was on last week’s desk, if you want to scroll down. Really this method is quite an easy card, as there is no measuring, etc. However, I of course, made it more complex. The comedy of errors today as I completed the card, shows that I wasn’t with it. The best (or worst) was putting final card base on upside down! 😉 So cut it all down make new base and re-adhere! 😆
The completed card, (image courtesy of Google) as a flat card, C5 size as it’s gone by Express post to Brisbane and that’s the Express envelope size. At least I thought to check that!
Downloaded a Mario Kart Font from da Font site and installed it on Word for greeting.
The ribbon was to help pull up pop up mechanism. Rounded the corners of pull up mechanism cardstock and used fancy Star punch for ribbon hole, it was coloured with a Promarker to match card as had nought that shade.
The card popped out below.
And a side view.
This beautiful pile of print out water colours for card toppers are by the lovely Sandra De... aren’t they ever so VERY clever?? Look at her blog HERE for more! We were so happy to finally meet up and have a cuppa together and maybe a bit of shopping! Sadly RosA wasn't  able to make it.
The eventful experience took place after I left Sandra, I tripped over a faulty tile and executed a face plant in the middle of Pitt St mall, 4pm Fri! Which necessitated a visit to Syd Hospital emergency via ambulance! Nothing like a bit of attention.(will report it, if I can) I’ve discovered a new shade in eye make up. 😁 Truly miraculous there are no broken bones or serious injuries, painful.. but not serious. God is gracious and so many kind caring hands to help.
My Aussie shots were taken down in the big smoke, they have lovely beaches there too! I was there with my uncle, and aunt's neice! We had an enjoyable meal together. 😊
Well, thanks for popping over for a peek and a chat, I really am sorry I did not make one comment last week, not even on Julia’s blog. I barely had time to link up.
Will do better this week, the trip was successful medically by the way and all is well. So very grateful.
Prayer hugs for every blessing on your way, Shaz in Oz.x
Thought for the day, a good verse to pray  and strive for:

I love your card! Such fun! It will certainly be enjoyed! Love your beach shots too, we are into our Spring with warmer days popping up all the time and that means playing by the seaside! YAY! Your friend is a very talented artist, I went over to her blog and delighted in her artwork. Praying for your speedy recovery, back to full bounce! xxx

What a terrific, colourful and fun card - am sure the little one will be delighted with it. Will check out the video later.
Oh Shaz, what on earth happened? It must have been a terrible shock to you when you fell and to do such a lot of damage to your little face. I do hope that it is improving now and each day brings it nearer to normality. Thank the Lord for all the helping hands you had to get you more comfortable.
You just reminded me I haven't seen Sandra de on WOYWW for ages. how lovely that you get to meet up with her, she has such talent. I will pop over to her blog now.
You take care, stay on soft sandy beaches out of harms way.
God Bless You

Oh poor you...I’m so glad that no bones were broken, take time to heal...the shock is horrid from an accident like that. pleased to hear that the rest of the Sydney trip was good...keep it up! I smiled in understanding when you said that you made the pop up card more complicated than it needed to be......that surely is a common skill amongst us card makers!! It looks fab though, and that you checked the envelope size first is frankly genius.

Oh my dear sweet Shaz. I am so sorry about your fall. Thank the merciful Lord that it wasn’t more serious. I’m glad that He provided helpful people around you when you needed them. Your card is delightful. Card making remains a mystery to me, but you make it beautiful and fun. I will be praying for complete healing for you my friend. Blessings Betsy

Super card Shaz - but so scary about the fall. Glad you'rO K and somewhat intact, but what a shock. Dudley sends a huge lick to help recover! And a woof thrown in for good measure. I kid you not, if we could bottle his love then we'd be onto a cure all! He's fast asleep again, doing a starfish impression - splayed out in the bathroom!

Sending loads of hugs

How fun I haven't seen Mario and Luigi in years. Your card is totally adorable. Pop ups are fun and kids love them too. Did a few last year.
Glad you were not hurt in your tripping. Really love Sandra De's prints Beautiful colors. Thanks for the visit. So much to do, getting ready to visit my son in Boston and trip organizing is not fun with this cool weather.
Have a wonderful weekend.

OMG! Glad you weren't hurt with broken bones. Are they going to compensate you? Lovely beach shots, just what I need to be looking at right now, it was still below freezing this morning! The pop-up card looks like so much fun, any 6 year would love it! Have a great week, Lindart #29

Oh Shaz, poor you! I am so sorry you took a tumble and hurt your face! My hubby did that once, when I was in hospital and he was so worried about me and wasn't looking where he was going - I've got his selfies just after he fell and they would grace any horror movie!! Hope you get better soon and don't have the panda eyes for too long. I love your cute card - so bright and fun, and just right for a 6-yr-old. Gorgeous watercolour prints, too. Thank you for your comments, and sorry you can't see the photos still. I'm seriously thinking of transferring my blog to Wordpress if I can stand all the work involved... Sorry you've had dental problems too. Horrible, isn't it. Thank you so much for your prayers for my hospital appointment next week. Whatever he decides, it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about it. Glad you liked the baby kits pic - they were so adorable, and so big now!

Happy belated WOYWW,

I like your Mario card very much and when scrolling down the pages I enjoyed a lot more of your cards, so I am going to follow you.
It's great seeing the Ozzie pictures. We have been there twice and made long trips through the eastern part and the center of the continent. My youngest brother has married an Ozzie girl and is living there now. We miss him....

Oh, Shaz, I'm so sorry for your trip 'n fall, but so very grateful that you are fine and you've had no residual bad after-effects! That's so scary how one minute you're up and the next you're flat on your face! Your Mario interactive pop-upcard is fabulous and will be loved by the little tyke! Great beach photos, too. Sorry for the late visit. I'm just perpetually chasing my tail these days!! Hugs, Darnell
