Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Brushos + Penny Black With Scraps + WOYWW

Well, here I am - surprise, surprise! Running tad late, par for course today.. 😀
AND it is total snippety cards today cos am doing some cards for a pressie...
RESULT:  Using up snippets/ half done things, so off to playground, yay!
For WOYWW, as tis Wednesday, pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground! my desk(s)!
Actually few desks. This morning - front left card almost done but covered up for a reason. Requisite scissors, and assorted tools, to the right are snippets of black ice technique to make into a male card. Monkeys say hi today, too! Will explain now other technique .. brushos on scrap!
Pays to be thrifty, what great watercolour card from a frozen meal box! Left piece used Olive green, Sandstone, Yellow, Sea Green, used slightly different colours, more blue and green on piece laying face down, so you can see back of card. The really light coating on the card stock means it really works well die cutting and holding it's shape.
Added spatters with gold and pearl watercolour - by Finetec.
Finished card - used scrap of white for top, only new bit was base. Wonky rectangles on white card. Stars are set of CCD's from eBay. Saw idea by Sharlene, not a blogger, but a very good friend, a great cardmaker. Changed it of course! Below is layered greeting, slightly offset with gold.
See shimmer in this card.. real texture!

Here a watercolour - Penny Black "Trailing Vine" gold embossed - used DI to colour.
Also stamped Hero arts Linen background, "Just for you" a Sue Wilson die.. my only set. Love the gold embossing! Slightly offset greeting again to give it more pop!
Was sure I'd blogged a card with this inked! Image was for pink, black and white challenge ages ago on OSA, but maybe made but not shared! Inked with duster, or maybe sponge, then stamped, found in snippets drawer - added bits from stash. Stamps are all discontinued - by Artneko.
Aussie shot when out on beach walk.. not time last two days .. walked but at shops not quite same view.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek, especially if you stay for a chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

Autism Awareness Blog Hop + WOYWW

Technically I'm NOT supposed to be on here... technically, I'm supposed to be cleaning /tidying up! however, saw this challenge via Jennifer McGuire on Veronica's Autism Blog Hop
We've two Autistic lads aged 5 and 2 in our family, I'm doing this post for them, to honour all who struggle with them in it, its also very hard for siblings and parents. I’m especially thinking of Veronica + her son Cameron, and pray for them and all so affected.
As it’s Wednesday, it is also time for WOYWW, or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday, so do pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground! To my desk...
(** edit below) I think the challenge is supposed to be rainbow shade, HOWEVER our lads have colour fixations, which I think it’s related to Autism. Mister Five loves GREEN and Mister Two: quote loves "PARPLE" 😁  so purple is the go! So tried to emphasise those two in this rainbow! as you can see I'm using Oxides. I really dont have clear green, and it didn't really show up as lack, until done, so will have to do.(** just found out via one of blogs on hop that blue is for Autism Awareness, so there is blue in it, seems folks were using whatever they wanted and lots used the rainbow! or brain freeze perhaps)
As only have on Distress Oxide in Violet I added some DI in Dusty Concord for depth. In hindsight should've tried that for green. still it is a clear rainbow, they blend easily.

Used Memory Box Nottingham Border die, and Elizabeth Crafts Happy Birthday by Quietfire design. Love both and both underused!
Aussie shots - the colourful Galahs love gardeners who dont mow their lawn, seed eating time for this evening's snack!
Tonight's (ie Wednesday in Oz) sunsets are courtesy of moi on creek walk and Greg, a family photographer, a bit further north shared it in response to mine.
Thanks so much for popping over for a peek, especially if you stay for a chat!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

Rejoice! He is not here, he is Risen as He said! + Snippets

Miracles associated with the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the LORD Jesus.
**Darkness:
"“When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the
whole land until the ninth hour” (Mark 15:33)
** Rent in two!
At ninth hour (or 3pm) "He gave up the ghost,...
.... behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; " Matthew 27:51
Temple curtain - entrance into Holy of Holies, no longer separated, but way is opened through Christ's sacrifice.
This curtain was a foot or 30cm thick, torn from top to bottom.
 **Earthquake, and rocks rent!
 **Many graves were opened
Matthew 27: [52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53] And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
(*note: came out of graves after resurrection of Jesus, however the graves were opened in the earthquake at Jesus' death. (Matthew 27:50 - 54)
**Large Stone Rolled Away + the grave cloths empty!
Finding only an empty tomb, Peter & John looked in, saw evidence of a resurrected Saviour:
The linen wrappings and face-cloth from Jesus’ body were lying there by themselves.
(Luke 24:1–12; John 20:1–9)
 ** Resurrection and Resurrected Saints
the Resurrection of the LORD Jesus was the cause of resurrection of saints.
The resurrected saints did not walk in Jerusalem until Sunday. To remain ceremonially clean for coming Sabbath,  the Jews could not greet their departed loved ones.
What a monumental Miracle!.
It showed the power over sin and death was defeated by the death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus - He was indeed the Son of God and He defeated Satan's power
He IS the Resurrection and the LIFE!
The miracles connected with the cross provide evidence that the One crucified was God's dear Son. They give indisputable proof.
Whoever believes ... the New Testament writings, has to be convinced by
these amazing wonders.
The cross . . .
there is no other way!
May the LORD richly bless you all this Resurrection day!
.. as we remember our LORD Jesus' great gift and sacrifice for us all... how He loves us!
I would just like to quickly (VERY) to share two cards done a month ago.
So far behind!

Left over scene with Stampscapes and Darkroom Door Gum tree set .. for another card still not shared, but didn't use this image! Coloured with DI, ink dusters, coloured pencils. Corners are from SB Magnificent square set (cut in four adhered to back as corner). EF is TH Distressed wood grain, Thanks from CB Olivia Alpha set.
I'd like to link these cards up to the Snippets Challenge, as used lots here on all cards, and the challenges below!
You may or may not know - but Easter is held at the same time as the Jewish Passover Feast, as that was when Jesus was crucified. The Passover is usually held the closest first full moon, on nearest Saturday after the spring equinox, (21st of March, each year). (Jewish calendar, and way of telling time  is different to ours.)
As it turns out last night, Sat 31st, was a full moon and blue moon, so the Jewish Passover was held yesterday, and so these are two shots taken last night by Greg in Oz, one of our photography family members.
