Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Penny Black + Watercolour Background + WOYWW

(NOTE: Dear kind visitors to my blog,
If you would like a return comment  - would you please fix your embedded comments at bottom of your blog posts? if you have them.
About 80% I struggle to comment on.
These “embedded comment boxes” are very unstable for all users.
On these you can lose comments on too. I have to do those on mobile, & so not easy ..
SOOO IF you don’t have a pop up comment box on your blog but an embedded one at bottom of post...
Would you please kindly go into your Blogger Dashboard:
Select *Settingsthen *Comments, select *“pop up window".
And please “SAVE” it.
Thanks so very much 😊 ..especially if you’re one of few with POP UP WINDOW already.)
Edit: if you reply to a comment on your blog in an embedded comment box, the person you reply to will only receive that reply IF they've subscribed to comments on that post.
Most do not subscribe so never receive it,  tested this many times).

Hi there all!
Lobbing in quickly! Yes, somehow  it’s Wednesday again.. and time for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
Pop over to Julia’s Stamping Ground to check out all the best crafty desks .. you learn soo much!
My desk this morning:
Well, it’s sort of cut off on left as hiding something I’m making, here I’ve started a new card, there’s a piece of watercolour paper with gold embossed flowers on it, partly water coloured with Distress inks, left over piece here.
Really enjoy them for water colour, they do-operate, don’t take much work.
Second desk is earlier when making card below.
First of all covered the water colour paper stamping “Penny Black Floral Cascade slapstick stamp”. Love this stamp, has been on desk last two weeks uninked. Did a wash with Finetec gold watercolour (at top) over background.
Decided to try two technique for colour. First used watercolour pencils, Aquarelle, by Caran d’Ache. Swiss brand, bought set of eighty on eBay years ago from a seller in Spain. Had my nephew check him out as know no Spanish. 😁
they’re beautiful to use, as watercolour can mix with water. However also wanted to try the DI which I will finish other piece left over and make two cards with leftovers stamped out.
Here’s the finished card saw it over on this blog here. I don’t have same products but used what I have.
Used a rose embossing folder, debossed on the top part.
The sentiment stamp is my favourite at moment from Sweet n Sassy from the Wait on Lord set.
Here are the Aussie shots in May last year, there is a sailing group that sails on a Thursday.
Am hopefully back walking soon as stitches on shin out today (YAY!) and left knee getting better too. 😊
Very grateful though that we have medical help here, when we need it.
Some do not in other countries.
Happy WOYWW everyone and God bless your day and keep you safe and well too.
Prayer hugs,
Shaz in Oz.x

I love that floral background stamp and the colours are gorgeous - i like the lacy edge on the card but would reduce the white area to see more of the floral gorgeousness!

What a beautiful background that floral is - love how you experiment with different mediums - those watercolour pencils look fabulous.
Loving your photos Shaz - they are beautiful.
Good to hear your stitches are coming out - mine are still there and one lot is really itchy!

Glad to hear that you are getting better. I don't like to think of my little friend having anything wrong with her.
Love the card. Perhaps more of the floral card you did - wonder what it would look like top and bottom? Love the die used though, what a fab find.
Take care

Hi Shaz, the card is a real beauty. I like everything about it but see no problem with changing it slightly if you make another then we can compare the two ideas. Lovely photos too and hope you'll be back to your walks on the beach soon. I agree with you about the medical services, some people don't realise how lucky we are. Hope your woyww is good with plenty of crafty time. Sending big hugs, Angela x14x

Beautiful card and design, beautiful photos too. The trouble ive found with the pop up window for comments is that one can't then reply to comments so either way isn't perfect, i guess like everything pro's and con's. Emmax

Your card is absolute beautiful. I don't know if you're talking about my blog, but I can't figure out the problem. Blogger. It's the bane of my existence, but also how I keep in touch with everyone. You could always email comments to me, then I get them. :-(
I will be praying that after today your walking will be much easier and painfree. There are so many concerns right now for my friends in blogland. I know our Father holds them in the palm of His hand, just like He holds you. Wishing you a wonderful day, with NO pain my sweet friend.
Blessings,
Betsy

I've been out of the loop so long, I didn't realize you were unable to walk. I hope all goes well today. Your card is gorgeous and your Aussie shots are gorgeous, even if they were taken last year. I love that beautiful stamp and was very impressed with all those watercolors. Thanks for stopping by early this morning. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Hi Shaz, glad to hear your shin is on the mend. I agree about being fortunate to live in a country with medical help. I never had much call for it until a few years ago, but now it's one thing after another! And that's when I became a crafter - in one of my recuperation periods. Your card is beautiful, love the style and the colours. Have a lovely week Heather x #7

Beautiful card, such a lovely stamp! Those sentiments are great, couldn't see them on the website but only looked quickly. I love the photos too, so tranquil! Verse for the day is most encouraging and uplifting.xx

I also love my Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils. It is really a case of quality shows. They are beautiful to use, and the colours are so intense so you can blend them perfectly. My problem with commenting is a new one. One or two people are posting from platforms like Instagram, which I don't have, and do really want to add to Blogger and Facebook. That means I am unable to even see their posts or return their visits. Hope the stitch removal goes well today. Take care of yourself. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #22

Hi Shaz I was planning to visit later this evening as i'm just about to go out as I have care work & weekly shops to do for the Mother's but thought i'd pop over and say your comment worked perfectly. I never have any issues with your comments, maybe because we follow each other. I love your watercolour work, you have used my favourite brand. I use prismalo's for finer detail as they are harder than the supra soft which I use for larger area's. All fabulous and my all time go to brand, well worth the investment. Beautiful card.
So glad to hear you are on the mend, take good care of yourself and we will catch up soon.
Creative blessing & Happy WoywW Tracey #4 xx

Hi Shaz, I was having the same problems leaving comments on some blogs. I didn't know it was embedded comments! I couldn't even leave a comment on my own blog! Mr M suggested I use Chrome as the browser instead, and that seemed to work ok. As you say it's much easier with a comments window! I am going to the Crop, it was lovely meeting everyone last year, putting faces to names. It would be lovely to receive an ATC from you. If you send me an email with your postal address, I can pop one in the post to you. I hope all goes well in your elections and you get the national and local results that you want. Hugs, Heather x
