Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW + Male Birthday Card

Hi everyone, as the days are rushing past .... 'tis Wednesday, again!
Here's my desky share for WOYWW or What is on your Workdesk Wednesday (over here at Julia's and please do join in, too!).
Two desks to see today, warning - and photo overload! desk in in ATC mode.
Dolores ATC and card .. how amazing is this detail in her work???

ATC's received, from UK, left ATC is my PiF from Ali Wade, the middle ATC is an impressive masterboard piece by Julia, and the right ATC is by Shaz Silverwolf. Are they all special? received another one from Sandra Dee shared back here.
Starting ATCs... see brusho sheets, for bases... stamps assorted ones from SU discontinued sets. Buy SU discontinued, on eBay rather than buying new ones. Much cheaper.
Four made for WOYWW8 - out of brusho backgrounds, with dry embossing, stamping and embossing and masking and glue and masking and inking.
ATC sent to Dolores, aka Cardarian.
Made four cards similar to this to send with each ATC for WOYWW8, used my two oxide inks.
Nephew's birthday - has a pug called Frankie, hence the card .. images courtesy of Google, gatefold card, two fronts, lower image is inside of card.
Die - corners made with SB Marvellous Squares, EF disc. Couture creation?

To Aussie shots - courtesy of grey headed nomads in our family - they are baby boomers 4WD caravan-ing out west. Traction steam engine from way out west NSW, chimney lying on right side.
Sunset at lake Minindee, out west NSW
I'm also totally delighted to welcome a new wonderful encourager ..

Christmas Challenge, WOYWW, Oxides + Romanian cards etc.

WARNING.. total photo overload today... :D
Hi there one and all.. yes another week has flown since posting! Think we all feel that time is simply scooting by! Time for another of Mo's Rudolph day, in fact it is over soon, at end of May in Canadian time! Also another WOYWW or What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - pop over to Julia's blog, please say hi! Look, see, what you learn!
My desk today.
Mid card photo, second last Romanian one, adding digi to background from paint clean up on home made gelli pad, see top post of my sidebar if interested in recipe, tried and true over generations of use. adding a digi with Romanian bible verse overlaid on it. Finished card, but not photographed.
My desk a few days back making background for stamping with Prickly Pear EEO145 nativty scene Verse is from Our Daily Bread Christmas set. My card for Mo's challenge, using my two Oxides, and some other inks as well to deepen Blue Jeans and Wilted Violet. BTW I think I've thought of an idea how to make normal DI into similar ways of layering as oxides. want more oxides but not pennies (due to expensive teeth) so thought of idea last night yet to try it. Watch this space.
Here you can see the faint outline of a CCD. This was lying on my desk, hadn't thought of it till my eye lay upon it.. Mm, I think that would work! this die is a detailed die. Put double side paper on back for easy adhesion, so it required multiple passes and shifting around. I lightly embossed it on inked sheet to get outline so as to make laying down very easy.
Plus slight embossing means it sits really well, giving sort of inlaid look..
Completed card.
Folder used is Ultimate crafts,
Christmas tradition 5 x 7 folder, extended a little.
ATC + Card - by SANDRA DE (link here)
Last week, we had out 8th WOYWW, I sent out four, two were in Oz and two were in UK. This lovely set is from Sandra De with one of her lovely watercolours on the card. I love the sheen on her ATC but doesn't really show up with all its nuances like the real thing.
Romanian Birthday card, with brushos tag. Circle Die is a CCD, stamp is long discontinued SU one, On the Spot Background, plus Spots CB folder.
God bless you in Romanian. Romanian embroidery digi from Google, gold braid from Shazsilverwolf. Embossalicious swirls folder.
Digi from FB group, and Ginny Maxam, verse is 2 Chron 20:12.." for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee."
Kaisercraft folder inked up in two greens of Brilliance inks over gold card base. God bless you, free doggie digi on B.'s Floral Fantasy blog years ago now...
Aussie shot .. sunset taken a while back.. stunning changes this evening like you rarely see. Love talking with God at such times. He is always near but especially walking in evening.

May God bless your day .. where every you maybe, and thanks so much for popping over for a peek and chat, you really do cheer my heart!

About Art Accents ATC Iris ~ Brayered Cuttlebug folder

Hullo there everyone! Back again with post from drafts, done ages ago now. On a WOYWW post in June I was working on this card, using the bearded Iris ATC stamp (Stamp - see here) from AAA (About Art Accents). On this desk shot (here) was trying out several methods.
It was for a very dear friend, Iris, who is in her eighties and lives in the Old Blighty in Lincoln. I visited her last year and so enjoyed my time there. I made this present (click here) - also an Iris with calligraphed verse to take over to her.
This card was stamped in white on black card then coloured with my Art (Caran D'Ache) pencils. Used 5 x 7 Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade embossing folder brayered in SU Lavender lace ink pad for the background. Mounted image on Double layered Crafts-Too (Labels 2) Nesting die. Edged with some braid used for first time and toned in so well, with punched white card edge of Arrow EK Success punch.

Still as not 100% so not blogging much at all; I had to cut back the calligraphy teaching to once a fortnight (see last post). Not managing to teach the weekly lesson, so maybe able to pop on here more often. Now hope to finish a card for a four year old :D  - and, God willing, possibly back for WOYWW tomorrow.
Many thanks for popping over for peek and chat. I  may or may not be able to reply to comments but each and every one of them really cheer my heart, so I thank you very much!
May God bless your day wherever you may be, Shaz in Oz.x
I would like to link over to following challenges:

Well here is a quick post showing you the card/ and six ATC's for the swap over at great fourth anniversary of WOYWW - see what this was over here at the Stamping Ground.

ATC images from Artneko hibiscus here - can buy separately.

(Sizzix leaves - Embossing Folder) with black card. Used Versamark and clear embossing powder, had to double emboss to cover surface area with the lovely molten gloss. Inked up with pigment gold ink pad for highlights

These are all snippets originally of some sort, whether left over gloss or black or other cardstock... cant beat raiding the snippets drawers..
I forget whose desk I saw where they had theirs categorized into colours, etc.
 I have done mine into:
 1. Black
 2. White
 3. Assorted Colours drawers.
The latter has cellophane bags in colours  ~ this works a treat for me.

Alcohol Inks + Metal Embossing, Oriental Black + Green mingle, WOYWW 200!

Hullo there again everyone!
Yes, it is time for the 200th (wow, Julia dunnit, truly she did!) WOYWW, or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday - or floor, or wherever you work?!
Please take time to share your creative space, at our honorable leader's blog, Julia Dunnit @ the Stamping Ground!
My desk ~ playing with inky joy! Saw on a WOYWW desk (Debs ~ see here) two weeks ago about tins and the embossing thereof.
Next day at a friends house and having a teeny tin of coke (200ml size) and much finer than normal cans of drink. I struggle with my hands and have never tried cutting up bigger ones but thought would give these a go..
Voilà! the results, using Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder, blending fluid, alcohol inks - Brass + Pesto from Adirondack.

The Oriental Stamp Art Mingle "Black + one colour - Green" is the colour choice for April, here is my offering.
Artneko ATC stamp set - Chrysanthemum, and these are on half price sale the moment!

To see other cards using these ATC look here and here.

The image was coloured with Prismacolor pencils, and PanPastels for background.
Mounted on Couture creations Victorian rectangle with embossed foil and black  outline. Used brand new Craft Concepts embossing folder called "Silver fern" + wiped it over lightly with white chalk pad, to highlight embossing..
{wow! actually found we had a newsagent with a good array of crafty goodies - embossing folders, cardstock, stamps, few dies as well, came out with nice goodies about 15 mins south of here, which is probably just as well :D}
Added ribbon and two small brads.
I will close with few images of Oz, the first is a beautiful tree in flowering around town, for our autumn.

Golden Penda Tree (see link here) , a native street tree, in flower at the moment.
Very popular and you can see why!!
Sunset at the harbour last week, still folk about in boats it was so lovely.
For those who like illuminated posts there is one down below (or click here). I am the  monthly SAM ( Stamp Artist of the Month ~ click here) over at the Oriental Stamp Art, which was a total surprise! There are so many wonderful stamp artists in the international Yahoo group.
A special welcome to my wonderful new encourager who is also is from Oz - Annette from Oz, a newbie on WOYWW last week!!
Thanks so very much everyone for popping over for a peek and a chat - thank you especially if you do say hullo!

And may God richly bless your day wherever you maybe,

Shaz in Oz.x
PS Stickeroo blogger who guess correctly was Mrs A. a big congrats will email you asap - see post here .

ATC's made for WOYWW folk - yes, about time I showed you!

Hullo there dear patient folk in blogland!
I am sorry have not been blogging much as I have been sick with tooth infection again; on double antibiotics for two days before it took affect and now on the tail end of second lot of them.
They are great, but it does make you feel peaky. I have to have it out by day surgery later in the year as it is an awkward extraction.

Finally here are my first ever ATC's (Artist trading cards, and measure 2.5" x 3.5" in case you did not know what they are, as I was puzzled as to what they were some time back! ).
I have made them for folk in WOYWW - when we had the 3rd anniversary at the end of May, 2012.
I was away when it was all announced and made it home just when it was due. Some kind folk still offered to send me one and waited patiently till I made mine and sent them off to them..
I took a while to make these as I really struggled with them.
I had never made an atc before and really found them hard... maybe I wanted to make them too complicated...anyway dont think I will ever fall in love with the format.
First one I made for Jo (Twiglet) in exchange for her gorgeous dumfling, and made with Stampin up stamp set (Oriental) on sponged background.
The second was made for Neet, was using a piece of  multiple layers of EP and stamp work originally made and explained back here.

Third one was for Bridget from Oz, and I made it with a scrap piece of card I had inked up with left over ink and glimmer mists  - had sprayed onto a craft mat and rubbed the card in it to get the mottled effect then stamped with a Penny Black stamp.

This last one is for Bella in South Africa and made with Stampscapes..(see her's here). It is a scrap piece again but brayered and then stamped and mounted with two mini tags with Stampin Up punch and stamp set.
I think I like it best but maybe that is because I love Stampscapes so much... think you either like them or you dont!
Okay I have been not to beach much lately but here are a couple of photos taken with my **mobile phone camera two weeks ago when my brother was visiting. (**For those of you who may not know all my beach shots are taken on it as rarely have my camera.)
I love the crab eggs as we used to call these when we were kids on this beach - they are of course the neat balls from crab excavations of the holes - at low tide..
We used to try not to tread on them because we really thought they were crab eggs!! and then here are a couple of views on our walk..
A sandcastle and two windsurfers in distance waiting for the wind to come up - but it did not..and yes, we have had days like this for all of August, smashing "winter" weather, it will be about low twenties today.
As this post is concerned with WOYWW  and some folk may not know what it is; it a weekly blog hop called What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday and most kindly hosted each week by the instigator of this world wide blog hop, our Julia of Julia's Stamping Ground!
Not much happening on my desk, just some new LOTV cards, mostly for Christmas toppers as they had free post at the mo, even to Oz - always a draw card - check them out here!
And still not unclogged the glimmer mists and cosmic shimmer but was told by Joanna Sheen they are meant to be laid down for starters so did that (top right)! I have not finished the Stampscapes card (left) begun on post below yet, but it is one step further along.

Thanks everyone for popping over for a peek and a chat and may our dear Lord bless your day wherever you may be!
