No WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday this week, too busy .. but here is my desk this morning, am midway through some more cards with dies and dies cuts and bits and bobs everywhere! |
The learned :D among you will recognise this as piece of brusho on gloss card, with some gold spatter... I decided to do some Christmas colours - however you dont see the green, if did it again would just do two colours, (Rose red and Lime green) not four (for more glittery brusho cards see here). |
Here are three of them and I have two more half done, there would have been half a dozen, except I tore one of the pinpoint ovals by Cottage Cutz when trying to position it. :( |
For today's Oz photos I am sharing something we saw yesterday (taken on my phone), origami by Seuki Cheung, using mainly recycled paper from magazines.
There were two tables like this one and some more other display stands. |
Cute monkey, in close up down below you can see the magazine papers, very clever use. |
I loved this lobster, think it was my favourite. |
Cute roosters at the front too! |
"Mr Funny Face" he was called - at the back! |
For those who like their fix of sunshine and beaches - here is McCauley's headland the other day, when we we were eating an ice-cream - again! |
May God bless each of you this day in all that you do - and thanks for popping over and making my day.. you bless my heart,
Shaz in Oz.x

Beautiful cards Shaz, love how you have made the flowers, and the layered ovals with that gorgeous stamp on are stunning.
The origami creatures are stunning - what incredible patience to make those models!!
Your beach looks so inviting - and I agree, ice cream is fabulous and an essential food!
Blessings
Maxine
Love your cards Shaz and as for that origami....I'm in awe. What talent to be able to make such stunning things out if paper. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Annie x
Happy Friday Shaz, lovely to see you again and your gorgeous Christmas cards - I've been playing with Brushos today too, love the vibrant colours but was trying to tone them down, must checkout the use of glittery sprays. Those book artworks are amazing don't think I'd have the patience. And of course love to see our Aussie beaches. It's hot and dry here in Townsville, need rain. Have a wonderful weekend hugs Robyn
Shaz I just love those colours in your poinsettia. I have't tried brushos on glossy card. I must give it a go. I also love your calligraphy stamps and the way you make them the main feature on your cards. They are lovely.
The rest of your post is very interesting too. I thought the first one was made from fir cones until I clicked on it to enlarge it, and then read the post properly! Kate xx
Loving the die cuts from the brusho background. Not tried on gloss card yet, so must give that a go. A lovely set of cards.
Great recycling from those mags!
Your cards are so beautiful. Yes, Christ is the reason for the season. Sadly not many people remember that.
I love the colouring technique you have used. The result is stunning and the colours so vivid.
As for the origami, it is awesome! I have never seen origami like that. I have dabbled in origami myself as we used to have Japanese students every year and they taught me several things. But never in a million years would I dream of doing anything like that!
Thank you for the beach photo. That would cheer anybody up. (lucky you)
Keep smiling,
Lisca
Dear Shaz, Thanks so much for your lovely message. Glad I joined in this week as it brought me to your beautiful cards. Exquisite! I love origami and the examples you show are so complex, quite fascinating. love your tranquil beach photo, it must be so wonderful to enjoy a walk there in sunshine.
I'm so lucky to be off to Germany next week.

Your cards are beautiful Shaz! I love the way you've coloured the card stock... I always make such a HUGE mess when I do that technique and end up with coloured fingernails for days.
You did a sensational job using the coloured card, I absolutely love the card you made with it. I like the gold versions too, but the multi-colour is my favourite. The design is wonderful, very elegant.
Cheers,
Beccy
Shall your cards are just breathtaking, love the paper you created out of your brushos. Then the wonderful flowers and frames and leaves, all such a wonderful creation.
Very pretty, the colours against the white really make them pop even more.

Your cards are just beautiful and I love that paper for the frame and flowers, it has such gorgeous colors and great mixture!
Wow those magazine creations are something else, you must have a lot of patience for those!
Beautiful cards, love the die cuts from the brusho papers, haven't played with my brusho paints for a while, been up to my eyes batch making Christmas cards, think I'm almost there now
What a stunning card, Shaz. You have SO much talent in the creative realm. God has blessed you with so many wonderful gifts, and I appreciate you standing up for Him, and sharing your love for Him and the talents He has given you without any hesitation or holding back. You share your faith like a badge of honor, and that's exactly how we are supposed to be. I have had to give up opportunities for being on Design Teams because of my faith, but I wouldn't have it any other way. God's Word tells us that "whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my father who is in heaven". That's a pretty strong statement. He doesn't want "Christians" who are ashamed to say that they're Christians, and that's one (of the many) things I love about you. Thanks so much for playing along, and have a blessed week.
Karen

Your cards are so beautiful. Always love to see what you are working on, you are so talented. And those magazine paper pieces are over the top amazing, can't even imagine how she does this. Would love to be able to watch these come to life.

Lots of inspiring photos to see here:) you've made some really classy cards. By changing the colors you create different looks. The power of color never stops to amaze me...

What a beautiful set of cards! What more can I say? xx
What an awesome trio of cards. I'm always impressed with the random background pieces and what they can be made into. The recycled paper crafting is cool too. That person has a bit of time on his/her hands methinks.
That origami is out of this world - what a talented person Seuki Cheung is.
Delightful cards Shaz, as always, and I love the words - I must look out for that particular stamp.
Hugs, Neet xx
Gorgeous brusho work and you have made it up into three beautiful cards. The sentiment is perfect and the brusho poinsettias and mats are perfect here.
Thanks for taking part in the November Rudolph days Challenge.
Hi Shaz, a great card to batch bake, love the brushos paper die cut into the poinsettias, the animal sculptures are stunning as is the beach... have a great weekend... Megan
