Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

WOYWW + Mighty Crafty Bounty - God blessed indeed!

(**For those who liked the MB glowing candle die cuts on my desk two weeks ago, the cards made with them are on the post below.)

Hi one and all, lobbing in with a quick post for WOYWW + desky shares x 3, (warning loads of pickies here). It is WOYWW or What is on your Workdesk Wednesday (pop over to Julia's and join in do!).
Okay, deep breath everyone!! I was given fifteen punches yesterday!! plus a whole lot of embossing folders (rear) + two spellbinder dies. This dear old gentleman is going blind and was getting rid of a whole lot of crafty goodies and was just going to tip them if we didn't take them. My friend went away with three or four times as many as this. I actually don't have a huge number of punches so this probably more than doubles my number. Monkeys survey new crafty haul, talk about so very "God-blessed" indeed! (if only you could have heard me exclaiming over each one..oh how I love that, I have wanted that, etc. However didn't want to be too greedy so tried to be selective  :D)
I felt needed to familiarise myself with such a number at once, so I have made a ready reference sheet of them (will do same for folders too) by punching them out and saving positives and negatives and inking them up. They are all put in the spare basket to the left side and I do have a spot on the shelf for that basket too, wonderful!
This is what my desk would've had on it and was shifted to dining table, all my cards for Christmas, at rear in plastic bag, I think I need another twenty. So I've done some more sheets of brusho to make some more of the nativity cards shown back here. I love how no two brusho sheets are the same!
Two cards I've made in the last week.
This is another colour challenge one over on FB Christian Card Makers, you could chose you own.
Popular Dark Cools 2Color Palette : mauve blue green
My 3rd entry in this challenge, the oriental digi was printed out and the verse was stamped, a Printblocks stamp from 1990's. EF is Moroccan frame I think, papers are LOTV. Coloured the backing papers and ribbon with DI Peacock Feathers.
Second card is with a Nicecrane bird image and overlaid a PNG bible verse file from WAW, this is an encouragement card for a friend. Stamped SU French script on Background inked with DI Peacock feather again. EF is Courture creations Tied together.
Now to the Aussie shots no beach ones today... but at the local Botanic gardens and one at home.
Flowering cactus in our courtyard, the flowers take ages to come out and then only last a day or so but they are beautiful.
No idea what this is but I did love its flower... tried a search but may try another to see if I can find it!
The largest birds nest fern I've ever seen!
Okay for those who dont know .. this is a brush turkey mound .. and this one is ginormous!
This is the bird that shapes that huge mound ... they do it for the warmth to help incubate their eggs. it is because of them we have to put chicken wire over mulch or they tip it all out everywhere! Actual size of mound shown well below!

I have been a bit remiss in welcoming a new wonderful encouragers called Heidi Stamps over at My little Stamping blog .. pop over here, if you have time, as she doesn't have many folks who've join her blog!
Thanks so much for popping over for peek and chat.. you are really appreciated!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

Image being given all that stuff, a bit like Christmas or in my case "oh no, not more stuff"
The plant life is nice to see, here in Lancashire the gardens are covered in wet leaves at the moment
Have a good week Shaz

I think the gentleman will be very happy knowing that his stuff is going to be used and not tipped...good for you and your mate. It is a quandary wondering what's going to happen to your stash after we've gone...that's why I genuinely don't have a lot of stuff, just my machine, basic haberdashery stuff and a couple of boxes of fabric which I do use - I've got past the hoarding of beautiful stuff, life really is too short!

PS I'm glad that dogs in Oz are dressed well too, lol!

Maxine D has left a new comment on your post "WOYWW + Mighty Crafty Bounty - God blessed indeed!...":

What a lovely gift you were given - those punches are gorgeous and I know you will find them so useful. The giving has worked both ways as you will give joy to so many with your beautiful cards when you use them. Perhaps you could think of something textural to make for his thank you card if he is going blind.
Interesting - no, fascinating - to read about the turkey mound, isn't it huge!
Thanks for the idea of a concertina card, that was a 'fall back' idea as the one I have in my head involved some kind of frame so that when the card opened the cards came out on string like a banner. Not sure it is do-able LOL
God Bless and Thanks for visiting me earlier, Neet 4 xx

Goodness, Shaz - an enormous blessing indeed! What a wonderful gift. Enjoy using everything. I like the cards you have made this week - great colours. What an amazing bird to build a heap that large!
Thanks for the visit - er - yes, I did actually mean the Christmas presents. I'm away a lot between now and Christmas, and most of the things need to go away with me... so... get my head down and get it done!
Take care. god bless.

Now that is an amazing collection of goodies. I am sure he was so pleased they were going to be used. Often wonder if my family have any idea of the value of goodies in my cupboards. Love the mound.

Poor man, it must be awful going blind, not being able to pursue his favourite hobby. Hope he'll be ok and will find something else to occupy him, like audiobooks or something. It's good that his stuff went to a good home, though. Your cards look spectacular - I really like that colour scheme! Have fun! zsuzsa #28

That is a Bounty indeed. What a wonderful bit of happy to hug close! Loving the Aussie photos this week and learning a bit about the Brush Turkey, a bird that I will probably never have known about except for this post... I don't think they can build a mound large enough to keep their eggs warm here in Canada... Grin. Thanks for the visit and lovely comment you left me earlier and Happy WOYWW from Lynne in Canada #2

That is one GIANT nest! How neat to have something like that living in your backyard! All we have are squirrels, who actually build gigantic nests in the trees, very similar to this mound, but up in a tree! I love your Brusho cards - beautiful! And my goodness, what a gift! That pile you have now is about twice what I own! Have fun playing! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #41

What a wonderful gift of punches and folders. I like your idea of knowing what you have. Inking the edges is a great tip! Your flowers are so nice...it's getting colder here so most are hibernating for the winter. LOL...the turkey is cute!
