Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

I live on the coast of eastern Australia. I am a Christian. I trusted in the LORD down here at the beach, amazingly it is not far from where I now live. It was over 50 years ago, after a Beach Mission Service at the age of 12 years

Fridays Smiles + Christmas + SB Exquisite Labels Eleven

(WOYWW post is just below this one, thank you!)

Well, have managed to join in with the Rudolph day challenge over at Scrappy Mo's  do join over at Mo's, you have till 31st! Also as it brings a smile to my face to have actually made TWO Christmas cards today, Friday, I'm linking over to Annie Friday Smiles :D
Both Christmas cards were made with elements pre-coloured sitting neglected since last year. This image is a Mo Manning digi, but it s also available as a stamp from Penny Black. It is colouredin mixture of PanPastels and Primsacolors. Used a verse digi I made, with SB Fancy Ovals and Label, with holly ribbon, and DP.
The verse is a digi I bought in a set of Christmas ones from Karen.M of WAW;
used inks + Panpastels in shading of this too, while it was in the SB Fancy oval. Embossing folder is Holly Vines by Darice.. love the depth of embossing on this folder! My Christmas cards will always reflect the reason for the season - Jesus!
This card was made for a very dear friend Mehrll in US she always brings a smile to my face, it was fr her birthday and as she had been instrumental in getting this SB Exquisite Labels Eleven to me. I won it over at Magpie's Candy, for which a US address was needed - see here. THANK YOU Magpie (and Mehrll) for this die, I love it! Very blessed of the Lord.
Used Stampendous Gold embossed verse of Psalm 91:1, with SB Divine Eloquence in centre, which Mehrll also helped me get in January sales in US at beginning of this year. So VERY grateful bought up then, as our $ has plummeted, stocked up for goodly while. :D
Also for Annie's smiles are the images of this blue faced honey eater in the front yard, we have natives in the front and roses int he back as they wont tolerate the salt winds out front. This fellow made me smile, as it was almost as if he turned around for the second photos so you could take his better side:D a bit hazy as taken through our front windows.

A dear blogging friend I would like you to pray for if you are able .. her name is Brenda, and she and her hubby, who has cancer are really going through the mill. Please pray he can go on the Hopkins trial he has been promised .. its kind of the last resort for him - for more details please look here
I thought of her as I wrote this verse below as this is beautiful Psalm of great hope and promise from which it comes...

Well, thanks for popping over, especially if you stop for a chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be,

Happy Birthday + Happy WOYWW

{Warning - Picture heavy post}
Hullo there everyone.. well, another "desky " share (or two or three) as it is Wednesday again!! and that means the great worldwide Blog-hop around desks of the world for WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to our Queen of desks, at Julia's Stamping Ground!
To my desk- several in fact:
Last week I showed this Our Daily Bread Image - "The Sea", stamped embossed and coloured in. Lots of folks asked for a closer look so took some photos as worked on one of three, have two more to make. Here am lining up the fiddly die cut. Use a paint brush to help centre the greeting, which has double sided tape on it to help it stick.
Here I am showing the greeting close up, and the die cut pops out easily with the double sided tape as you can see. However, can you see what bugs me about this particular greeting? (from a set by Impression Obsession) That "B" is all wrong, slope and shape wise. It escaped me, when buying it but it yells at me when using it. The rest are fine .. just one letter.
Here is completed card. If you scroll down to post below, you will see I added the beach sand from our beach down the road with embossing paste. The shells were ones are from all over in Oz; tiny pebbles from courtyard garden where the card photos are taken. These images are coloured with dye inks, hand made cloud mask + Caran D'Ache pencils. Corners - SB Fleur de Lis Square die turned into corners.
EDT: The Sea card won top three over a Stamping Sensations.

My desk two days ago. Was was working on Thomas' card. As you can see Thomas is six!! His birthday is tomorrow. One sleepless night the LORD gave me this idea... so here am trying to work it out. Thomas loves cars, and so found images of the "Cars" by Pixar - Lightening McQueen, Sally, Luigi and Rator, and did a black very large freehand multi layered six. I used these names in the poem greeting I did inside too.
Desk today: Card done, two sea images, one for dad - our Father's day soon + another birthday.
This was my floor till about two hours go... (look Miss, I do throw out snippets)!!
See the Memory Box packet at the bottom centre, the "Happy birthday banner die" by Memory Box on Thomas's card had gone AWOL. Cleaned up every where else - in the end thought may have thrown it out .. so up-ended rubbish bag.
Have small bin near desk used as work then it all ends here. Tend not to empty till full cos do use bits sometimes.  Praise God! - it was found on dining table - phew! answered prayer. I did need to tidy up though, didn't I?
Here is the finished card: Cut the banner bit off the Happy Birthday die. Cars printed from web, added glossy accents after cutting them out. Three layers of black card on the SIX, white pen for the lines after the cars were added. Banner die is from Kaisercraft Banners and Balloon set. "Thomas" with flags is a digi made up in Word. Embossing folder is Tim Holtz.
 I will comment as able ~ still a little behind, but getting there :D
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be!

Colouring Dry Embossed Vellum, Snippets + WOYWW

Well, dear bloggers, another Wednesday rolls around .. wot, already we cry!! Suddenly today realised next month is the 9th month..eek! Christmas is coming, really need to get into those cards!
However .. good news to those of you who called by last week, in answer to much prayer, advice from folks + three days of searching on web (on mobile device, not computer) have stopped Windows 10 downloading without permission onto this computer.
Yay! It took nearly three hours of steps.  System restore first, to 27.7.15 + working in Registry which was tad daunting, triple checked all steps, have put links down below or see here EDIT on last weeks post. Conflicts gone (after only partial download) - have my delete button back and mouse works.

This is desk time of the week, Wednesday  .. over at Julia's for WOYWW or What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday. Two desks again today one this morning + one this afternoon.
Have to make some male cards (birthday and Father's day in early Sept. here) so stamped in Versafine black, embossed three pieces of the stamp by Our Daily bread called The sea. Also have some SU paper sample called High tide thought it would match these cards well. Card in top right is one shared below,and RosA chook stamp is here because am sharing the card I made to thank her for making it - also below.
Had coloured these three images last night with ink and coloured pencils. Saw on Pinterest an idea of adding sand, shells, etc to the bottom of this image. Hence why I extended the colour. Some beach sand, walked down and fetched yesterday, mixed with embossing paste. Added shells, tiny pebbles with Multi medium.
Back on this post here was the start of these cards. I embossed Vellum with CB Stylised flower folder, the coloured the vellum n the back with Promarkers, the ribbon wasn't right shade so used Promarker on that too. Verses are snippets sitting around for ages - on right is from Word Art Wednesday, one on left is from Our Daily Bread. I share it below.
My very regal chook, hand carved stamp from RosaA ... see this post here for the story behind it. It is stamped in Versamark +then gold embossed it. Made the simple card for Ros, when saw her earlier this month on trip to Syd for dr's. Die cut corners are from a square die piece in gold cut up (SB Fleur de lis) and Impression Obsession word die in black, with bling.
Wattle time! as it is almost spring downunder, different shades of yellow and lemon on the side road going into town, so pretty on the sunshiny days we have had. Also picked our first sweet-pea today, how I love them! God's creation such a blessing, every day!
{EDIT - I have just read Hettie's post  on dashboard, it said that Janet Fairy-thoughts had passed.. was always so blessed by her comments and  my visits to Janet's blog -  a dear blogger, it makes my heart sad. Also makes my words below about the generosity and friendship of Blogland below, a little more poignant.
May the Lord bless and comfort Janet's family at such a sad time,  and all who loved her.}

A VERY big welcome two new wonderful encouragers! I am still totally amazed and thrilled at blogland and how wonderful folks are out there. Blogging is a blessing indeed.
Firstly a thank you & welcome to Pia over at http://piaspapirogperler.blogspot.com.au/

 I will comment as able ~ may take 'til next week :D sorry way behind from last week too!
Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be!

WOYWW Snippets + Butterfly Challenge + Windows 10 Go away!

Hullo one and all .. well it is one of those days when you quietly want to go in the corner and scream!! loudly, but just to yourself. And yes, it is a computer that has caused this utter frustration.
First of all Windows 10 keeps installing and I don't want it .. tried Googling thus far to no avail, tried this one here... but is in too hard basket at mo...
It is blocking all other updates because if one tries to download those updates, then Windows10 automatically downloads. (When, God willing, I find a solution will add it.. anyone any ideas?)

{15.8.15} EDIT: UPDATE - I think I may have beaten it at last, praise God -- pray so anyway most earnestly! some days later.
First of all I did a system restore back to before release date on 29th July, which on my machine was 27th July. Then did instructions on this link here (
Warning: he uses some words I would rather not there, but he said he was controlled as he was really mad about Microsoft and wanted to help others,  it so glad he was restrained)
http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/windows-7-to-10-gwx-how-to-remove.html

All other sites were not for those who had the download being forced on them, and did their steps and nothing happened.
So thought only way could solve it was with restore point back to before 29th July.
System Restore said that restore point did not work but it stopped the download! then could get rid of the GWX files (for Win10).. and they are everywhere!
Had to remove all the files - WARNING - it does involve going into the Registry.
Am not crowing yet, as it is not showing I have not reserved my Windows 10 in Windows Update, and it should. So they may try to sneak it in the back door, so double checking all downloads from Update as that's how they smuggle them in.}

However I am going to ignore all this for the moment... and plod on (with prayer).
To WOYWW or What is On Your workdesk Wednesday.. pop over to our chief's desk for the link up, at Julia's Stamping Ground!
To my desk:
It could be summarised today's post as: 2 desks + 2 cards + 3 Aussie shots!
Have two cards here, one finished, one on the make. Have added DI to the paper for die-cut, to match the stamped framed image made. Last week on Thursday I met up with RosA in Sydney, and the bounty on the desk below is from her (thanks dear friend! very generous). We also did some shopping, and this stamp panel was one I was deliberating over. Ros challenged me saying she would buy it too and see who could blog a card with it first. It was all of $3.99, by Kaisercraft.
All these die cuts are from RosA, they are amazing aren't they? She die cuts them on scrap card then they stay intact. The "With Love' die is one of mine I am trying out to see it work.
Here is the card with Kaisercraft Bloom Panel in Versafine Black Onyx, and embossed in clear. DI - Peacock feathers, Dusty Concord, Firebrick Red, on Strathmore. The die "with love" is by Waffle flower. Snippets of Black, and Strathmore.
Over at Mrs A's Butterfly challenge .. it is Butterflies and W is for Washi... so it is all washi on here with DP and cardboard snippets thrown in. Die Butterfly is SB, "Thanks" is CB Olivia die set
Aussie shots 1: First rose for this year is the Delores... always seems to be first.. very dry this year so slow to grow, we badly need some rain.
2. Dendrobian orchid from my neighbour, on loan :D It is has flowered its heart out for almost three months now. More flowers than leaves .. how good is that?

3. Another winter flowering, red dwarf poinsettia... it yells "happy", doesn't it??
And a big welcome to another new wonderful encourager of this humble blog .. Jan Keen, but cant find your blog, Jan .. so please let me know so I am able link over to you + also join your blog. :D
 Also a big Welcome to Lenoria of Lenoria's Lid'l  Bits another new blogger. Pop over and give her a big welcome to blogland!

I will comment as able ~ may take 'til next week but will get there :D

Thanks so much every one for popping over for a peek as chat, and may God bless your day wherever you may be!

I am sharing a part of psalm today.. I so need it :D pray it might bless you also.
Psalm 121:1-3
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber"
