Thank you for taking time to visit, and I hope I am even a tiny bit helpful as I have been helped and blessed by so many others. I have been doing Calligraphy since teens, and card making for many years as well. In 1990 I delighted in the joys of stamping with ink and embossing after a trip to Cairns, Qld. In 2009 I discovered the brayer, 2010 the Cuttlebug, also have now taking to reading up on crafting blogs and lo! Here I am, on one of my own.

WOYWW - again here at last .. take 2

Hi one and all. Well time will tell if this time I actually get to publish this post. this is a repeat of last weeks post I did up but blogger ate it right at the end when was adding another image.
I've never lost a whole post before.
Anyway this is to join up with WOYWW or what is on your workdesk Wednesday over at the Queen of desks, our wonderful Julia! And as it is spring downunder am sharing some spring shots too.
First photos are of a gift surprise from Shaz Silverwolf, Lunch Lady Jan and Queen Julia .. these three very special ladies put their heads together and came up with this "cheer you up parcel" for little old me.. and yes, dear ladies I've used some of those things this week!
Aren't there some yummy goodies here??... wow wow wow!! :D thank you ever so VERY MUCH!

To my desk last week... I was in middle of making a card for a cute little one year old in our family. It is his birthday today, the 21st! .. one year old, a real miracle baby, too. And what bundle of mischief he is. I have this set of Tim Holtz numbers and as you can see some are huge, so call for huge card. I sprayed the number 1 with Dylusions and a silver cosmic shimmer spray.
I've added this so you can see how big it is by the ruler on the side. I dont have an A4 Embossing machine, my biggest is big Shot, so I turned the CB 5 x 7" Domino folder four times, but if you're careful it is is not even noticeable the overlapping. The eye is very forgiving.
Leptospernum Cardwell, or white tea tree bush, out the front with grevilleas and other natives... it is very pretty in spring.
Osetospernum, or African daisy comes in all colours and very pretty too, very hardy both of these.

I love the gorgeous details up close of this plant. It has a really shimmery petal and has different colours according to angle of the light.
Been busy in the backyard too, finished the roses, all three dozen mulching etc had a helper this year a lovely Philipino lady, Jenny, from down the road, and great weeder. A big help indeed.
Our single lavender plant under the lemon tree is still going strong. Jenny was amazed that is one plant, and also impressed by the old gnarled stem is has a the base. The white one in the other bed is also going well, they help deter insects. And I love them!
Okay this wasn't on last weeks post but not game to alter order of photos .. after all that's what caused last weeks glitches.. so here is the card finished at the end..

The elephants are some die cuts sent to me by my friend in USA Mehrll, I detailed them in fine black pen and shaped them too. The EF like honeycomb is a Kaisercraft one, which I inked up for highlights, rest is DP from Stamping Up. The sentiment is digi.
Well, happy WOYWW, everyone ... and thanks again to my very kind three bloggy mates .. so very kind to send me new things to try out!
Please say hi - to let me know you've been by!
May God bless your day wherever you maybe!

Wow, this really is an amazing candy! I hope it helps you to get back to your healthy self ;)
The elephant-card turned out very cute, perfect for the little birthday boy. And the lavender... gosh... are you seriously saying all of this comes from one single plant? I'm beyond amazed! I absolutely love lavender, and yours is so incredibly beautiful!

I'm not spending much time on my blog right now as I'm busy with so many other things, but I really like to hear you're getting better.

Hugs from the autumn-ish side of the world,
V

What an absolutely fantastic card. Love the "effelumps" that have come out to greet young Eamon Henry.
Gosh Shaz, what a huge and amazing garden you have. Wish I lived closer o i could pop in for a cup of tea and a look around it for real. Love the flower with the shimmery petals.
Great parcel from the girls - what a wonderful idea to put their heads together and do something like that. Hope you have many happy hours of 'making' with the contents.

What an amazing card Shaz - you certainly don't let anything stop you when it comes to your crafting - using one folder four times - I am impressed, as I cannot see any overlap/joins!!!
Good to see your photos and how your gardens are coming on - I still have some to prune. Your lavender looks wonderful

Hi again Shaz, I do have a large machine, a Big Shot Pro. I treated myself with a works bonus a few years ago, as I was getting fed up with dies & folders getting bigger than my 'bug could handle. But I do have , and use most often, a Cuttlebug. All those dies & the folder all fit that. Hugs, Shaz xxx

I adore your little elephant card. Or maybe I should say your big elephant card! I'm sure it will make a one-year-old very very happy. What a lovely lot of gifts too. It's always nice to get surprise packages in the mail isn't it? Thank you for the beautiful photos. Our summertime is just getting ready to end here and the trees are turning all of the lovely shades of gold and red.

great post Shaz! I don't know where to start. That is one amazing package to "cheer you up"! All sorts of fun things to play with. Love the first birthday card and the 7 elephants! Your garden is beautiful. I bought some African daisies a few years ago and haven't been able to find them again. I don't know if they aren't being sold in the US anymore or what. I know when the kudzu took over the south they started being more careful about what is sold now. Thanks for visiting my desk earlier. Vickie #4

Happy WOYWW. Thank you for sharing your spring photos - although now I really wish that winter was over in the UK already! I think every year I hate winter even more. Your lemon tree is amazing. Reminds me of a holiday in Corfu where the swimming pool was next to an allotment filled with lemon trees - the scent was incredible. Ali x #33

How annoying to lose an entire blogpost like that! So sorry to hear about your health problems, Shaz. I hope you're well on your way to recovery now. Gorgeous stuff from the ladies - so thoughtful of them. I really like the embossed domino background on your card! My son's birthday is on the 21st too! He shares it with his paternal grandfather! It seems to be a popular day to be born on, LOL! All the best, zsuzsa #24

Hi Shaz,
What a lovely surprise from the girls in the UK! How thoughtful!
Love your card with the elephants. They are very cute elephants.
I'm thinking of buying one of those (very cheap) snowflake dies from China, as shown by Shazsilverwolf. The "real" ones are about $40 and these are about $7!
I was very restrained at that recent 40% off sale at Lincraft, because, wait for it ... I really don't need anything! So I had to justify (to myself), buying those few items. And I certainly don't need any of that nice card, much as I like it!
Your garden looks fabulous. I did a double take when I saw your Cardwell Tea Tree!! That is my husband's name, so we have two of them out the front! (Although not as lovely as yours.) We also had two of them in the pink version, but they did not survive :(
That cross stitch is (unfortunately) not big enough to be a cushion. It is just a little mat type of thing. (About 12" x 8")
I will probably be ok for 3 November, will just have to confirm nearer the date.
Hope you are much better now? Don't like to bother you with emails, so good to see you here on WOYWW :)

What a lovely 'pick me up' package from the ladies. Lots of yummy goodness. Love the cards. Thanks for sharing pics of the garden as well. I so need to rework my rose beds. Hopefully the temps will cool down soon enough to want to be outside long enough to do something. I'm optimistic! A tip.. if you're typing and your post disappears, right click and hit UNDO sometimes that brings it back. Creative Blessings! Kelly #39

Wasn't that kind of the girls to send you such a fab parcel of goodies. Love your little pile of elephants. So cute. I was looking for an elephant digi the other day to send as a swap card (to Oz as it happens) but couldn't find one I liked so did 2 toucans instead(as one does!) hope my swap partner likes her birdies. Hugs Mrs A.

Your card is amazing. So creative and so sparkly. I love the shimmer that you added to those adorable elephants!

Your garden is so pretty...my whole back yard flower garden would into your raised beds. ahahahaha Land is at a premium here and we really downsized our garden areas when we bought this house. Kept the house square feet about the same but drastically downsized the garden and patio areas! Your garden pictures are always such a joy to look at...thank you for sharing them with us.

Your gifts are wonderful...bet you will create many fabulous cards from this present.

(Just catching up on your blog...
